What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good day here Shugborough hall visit wet no cold but in good compny so enjoyable. Spoke to a national trust worker with the bet job in the world on cold dy, she was standing in a field of long horned cattle with many plastic bags, her job to gather poo for testing from each of them numbering the bags with their identity. The cattle were not cooperating. :joyful:

Recorder quartet went better than expected and we polished up some blues, minuets and jazz. Guests been gone 2 hours, well fed and so I painted today's watercolour, A4 inspired by a Trent Valley sunset about 1 hour 30 minutes to paint.

Your paintings definitely have your signature style. I would probably recognise it in an exhibition of different paintings. I like the sunsety quality of this very much. Soothing and tranquil... @Muddy Cyclist

Woke up to a 4.8 I said to myself. "What! Got to be wrong, shall test again." 4.7 Where did that come from! Can I replicate it, probably not. Good morning everyone. :)Will catch up on posts later, but have a good day and hugs for all who need them.

A disappointing day @ianpspurs
Chin up, can only get better .:D

As for the end question...mmh
. Remind me again, when are we all Sparticus?

"When we stand up as ONE, to throw OFF the yoke of tyranny and slavery to the complications of T2D.

Are not ALL mens HBA1c created equally, are
we NOT as deserving as others to Aspire to normal, IF we can....

Rise up my brothers & sisters
Rise up as one and join the HBA1c. Freedom liberation movement...(twinned with the Judea's people front liberation army)
Rise up and claim your right to a better tomorrow, today."

And it's that fight, though some might fall that we win each HBA1c test,
Those very moments, when the stats v the expected outcome help confound the dogma and doctrine, hopefully to the point where even those too blind to see, can no longer deny us the very chance to TRY

Hug for the loss... An understanding ear for the numbers.... And what else, can we do but match onward to tomorrow.

5.8 this morning, so back in the zone for a day.

T2 eye test and normal eye test today and my blood test results tomorrow. The receptionist called to say that the doc would phone me to save me going in, I'm guessing that's to reduce the number of people sitting around. She also asked if I'd like to go on a trial of statins as I was "in that sector", so I mentioned that I was already on a trial for statins and had been for two years, it involves not taking them ;)

It was a busy day yesterday as I had to have my psyche evaluations too, yearly thing for my autism now I'm getting justified and ancient. I was chuffed with the results though. IQ tests ripped out an average at 155 and I am now at the emotional age of 33, nice to be a grown-up (I think). As my counsellor is 35 and single I thought I'd ask her on a date :) (kidding)

Enjoy the day :)

Rousing post Sir and I so admire your spirit. I'm a little more inclined to see this as more the trajectory https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/45319/the-charge-of-the-light-brigade for Spurs, me on lc lifestyle and England Plc (pretty sure our leader doesn't see UK as relevant anymore) I come from a long line of optimists you see.

Good Morning and 5 5 for me today.

I think a day of rest for me today until trundling over to Shropshire for folk band rehearsal this evening.

. @Muddy Cyclist I absolutely adore that scene (too upbeat for Hardy's Darkling Thrush but gives me that feeling). Have a great day folks. Remind me again, when are we all Sparticus?
I enjoy the poems of Thomas Hardy thank you for associating this painting with such a master of words. A poem of hope though the Trush seeing or feeling something the observer can't, so apt for how many of us feel and empathise with this LC and T2 way of life. Thank you for reminding me about this poem enjoyed reading it again.

Thank you all for your kind comments re @gennepher and my art.

Find as much pleasure and beauty in your day as you are able, take care.

Morning All. 5.9 so clinging on.
@Muddy Cyclist thanks for the soothing sunset, love it. @ianpspurs sorry for all the disappointment, hope your day gets better. @Debandez great run of numbers, enjoy the time with your auntie.
I made my sanitised hand gel and am pleased with it. There are more cases in my area dxd yesterday. Parents at a private school within 5 miles of me (skiing at half term?) yet now the Government is only going to report weekly where new cases are. Just ridiculous imo if they want us to protect ourselves. Chances there people use the same shops, supermarkeys, etc as me so I am entitled to know. Having school age kids they are not in the dangerous age group. What does Boris think is sensible about this, I am not asking for their address.
Take care everyone. Stay well, stay safe.

I gave you a winner but have a VERY FUNNY also that for some reason really had me chuckling.

All the best for your tests and results.

Fbg this morning 6.9 this morning.

How the heck it down to that from the 8's I do not know.
Because yesterday I couldn't eat before I went out to the meeting, so I drank hal a can of carnation evaporate milk, so I would have something. Traffic was at gridlock the route I intended going yesterday because I could have had a breakfast en route, so a U turn and others do a U turn following their Leader, me, (why anyone thinks I know what I am doing I don't know), so country route to another road, and went to my destination from there. Hence I ended up buying a cheese twist pastry (nothing else available), and a honey and pecan pastry....

Nothing else until I got home, and had fish fingers. But by now I am knowing I should not have had the pastries because my toes are having a firework party...agony.Today, I will be good with food.

Here is my painting for today. Two again.
Watercolours.
Top one in the A5 mixed media pad, bottom one on the index card.watercolours, chalkboard pen, and fine white pen...

I am going to have to love you and leave you, because I have to leave very shortly for my early hospital appointment. All I want to do is close my eyes and sleep.....

Take care
Don't be good, being some naughtiness in your life today...
Hugs

@jjraak Your post picking up on Sparticus seems to me so very similar to this: the only thing that counts is faith working through love. Now, all I need to do is tease out which of those 2 qualities I lack and I am on to a winner.:arghh: I can't help feeling some threads on here with such entrenched ideas of the only valid lifestyle are so much like this: If, however, you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another. You don't think DC/A B de P J's Housemasters wrote that do ya? Hope Joe and Bernie + supporters have read those lines!
