What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

7.2 on a foggy morning.
From what I've read, cats are obligate carnivores and should eat only meat, and have access to grass for help with hairballs.
@Muddy Cyclist Thank you for posting the lovely painting, and its stages. It reminds me of the Welshman I dated long ago who taught me to say something like "Y mae Smokey in pori in y cae" it used to freak our friends out when translated that my cat Smokey was out grazing in the field!
@gennepher I hope your chat with Amazon will benefit other recipients. That driver needs a refresher course in people skills. Oh, well, maybe he is a very dependable worker who is never late or out sick. ...

@ianpspurs you are quite a youngster! What was "Watch With Mother" about? I remember seeing it in a TV listing back in the '60s? when my father brought home an English newspaper from a business trip to NYC and thinking it sounded like a nice kids' program.

That sounds about right Saskia...Lola is much improved this morning she & Charlie have been out on a joint hunting venture & proudly presented me with these this morning... they're back out again for more but will to cut that short it's freezing & I can't leave the door open any longer...

I'm glad Lola is feeling so much better. I love the photos of your mighty hunters, and how you have caught their shadows on the floor, and the trophy shot. Especially the shadow of Lola's paw, because I can't see her actual paw from this angle, but I can see its shadow. That is such a cool effect. Thank you for posting these. :)

They are very pleased with themselves Saskia...now the back door has to be closed I'm shivering so enough hunting for today anyway Lola is busy making sure the big long snake she caught (i.e. twig) is well & truly dead!

They had a sign on the hand sanitizer/soap shelf -- Limit 2 per customer -- but I didn't notice a similar sign on the toilet paper shelves. It's amazing how in cases of panic adults have to be reminded to share with others.
I honestly don't know whether to laugh at them all or be afraid, be very afraid.
Especially as this region is known as The Bible Belt -- so where's our faith?

... So, how about that drink?

BUT i think if you look closely the ice you seek, will be coming along real soon...sad to say.

and FAITH it will reappear, especially as it's all we really have right now, whether in Science, Invisible Friends, Deities
or just blind trust that being naked.while typing, offers the best protection ......

yep, this IS an issue that we need to remember
that by Respecting we are Protecting.
Because those who think they'll stay safe, due to grabbing all the good stuff, are the same ones who'll get ill,

I can put myself in another's shoes. Because I am deaf and spent a lifetime lipreading, to help me follow a conversation, I have often put myself in the other person's shoes to understand where they are coming from. So, taking me and my personal history out of this equation, I am coming up with possible 'stories' for him.

Perhaps in the past he has given a resident their parcel, and it was for the resident's daughter and not the resident, and the daughter didn't get it so caused him problems with Amazon. Perhaps other reasons. Also perhaps he is searching for his long lost daughter....the creative side in me comes out at that point. It is possible to write a whole book of short stories on this...

But I do feel happier registering that I had a concern, and just maybe, he needs some training to deal with people better.

It did disturb me badly, so I am going to do nice things for me and Popeye today.

Brilliant and quite envious. Bg ok as well but a log splitter :D:D:D:D though the satisfaction of a good axe splitting a stubborn root or knotty log with a hefty blow is impossible to match. Proper lifestyle madam.
 
And on the Loo roll front, @SaskiaKC

i reckon your govt will make a similar announcement soon
so a little heads up.

the UK govt have just announced that due to the Importance of, and the unprecedented demand for Loo rolls.
to prevent the scenes we have seen in supermarkets across the UK

Supermarkets will be strictly LIMTING sales to ONE only per household,
although measures are in place to make sure these will be the new C19 FAMILY size..

All I can say is, it's too bad Sears, Roebuck & Co. no longer publishes their big thick catalogues. I don't know how much American history y'all have been exposed to (sorry about the pun :angelic:) ...
