Good morning. Great starts to the day @karen8967 and @Muddy Cyclist. My fbg was 5.3. Lots of data today as Wednesday is recording day. Overall not too bad - amazing (for me) deep sleep stat with highest % ever but can't quite explain why. Going back to #bigpharmgate, I am hugely biased by the experience of my mum in her declining years. She had a few conditions which caused considerable pain and needed careful handling. She was forever mindful/having her ear bent somewhere about not taking/getting "hooked on tablets - especially steroids" That view blighted her life, my dad's life and made no sense - the conditions could only ever be managed and she knew that. Once virtually bed ridden and medicated properly - no pain. Also, dad had 20+ very active years after heart attack but on statins. Uncle who refused statins - stroke, coma for years. Just why I feel that way about medication/big pharma and anti meds. Have a great day - spring like here.

Fbg 7.9

will do a digital painting later today.

when I contacted amazon for the refund, I ended up on chat to sort the refund.

when the chat person asked me if there was anything else they could help me with, I thought it might be a good idea to register that the Amazon delivery guy made me feel uncomfortable with his strange conversation before he handed me my parcels. But I said no more. The chat person said they would pass it on. So, in this way I haven't made a formal complaint, but just registered concerns. And if Amazon have concerns they can get back to me for further details. I also took screenshots of the chat as it progressed, because it vanishes when you finish.

take care

Brilliant way to handle the amazon problem. Hope you feel as much at peace as you can after that incident now you have informed amazon. Enjoy the day, time with Popeye and your art today.

Morning All. 6.2 for no reason I can think of other than the needle is stuck.
I have lots of itsy bitsy things to sort out today not least I have run out of bread (for Mr PM working from home today) and milk! Bad wife! The first is to sort out one of my missing meds from my monthly prescription which I need tomorrow. I have a viewing middle of day so need to come back and sanitise at least all the door knobs from the front door in. Using the time out to drive an hour to meet friend in a car park to pick up all her stuff for the next two weeks which she doesnt need to take into hospital. No time for house or garden work today.
@gennepher hope you slept better and I think good you told Amazon about the delivery guy, you never know if he was strange with other deliveries. @OldButBold thanks for the little burst of Bill and Ben. Good fbgs @Muddy Cyclist @karen8967 and @ianpspurs. Have a good Wednesday everyone. Stay well, stay safe.

good morning all :)

4.8 on Monday, 4.2 yesterday and 3.9 today

mr gee and I managed to get a few of the tree bits chopped up on Monday and distributed them yesterday, biggest bits into mum's shed to dry and two trugs of small spiky bits to the recycling site, non invasive small garden stuff is collected, compacted, chopped and composted apparently :)

one of our next jobs may be to split some more logs from the pile of big stuff that's been seasoning, depends on the weather though because it's currently chucking it down.

mr gee and I both agree that the little electric log splitter he bought second hand a few years ago was one of his better notions :D

Hope your day is treating you well :)

I slept better thanks @PenguinMum But I still need more sleep.
I can put myself in another's shoes. Because I am deaf and spent a lifetime lipreading, to help me follow a conversation, I have often put myself in the other person's shoes to understand where they are coming from. So, taking me and my personal history out of this equation, I am coming up with possible 'stories' for him.

Perhaps in the past he has given a resident their parcel, and it was for the resident's daughter and not the resident, and the daughter didn't get it so caused him problems with Amazon. Perhaps other reasons. Also perhaps he is searching for his long lost daughter....the creative side in me comes out at that point. It is possible to write a whole book of short stories on this...

But I do feel happier registering that I had a concern, and just maybe, he needs some training to deal with people better.

It did disturb me badly, so I am going to do nice things for me and Popeye today.

You have a good day. It looks like you are having a busy one. Take time out to have a cuppa :)

Good morning everyone on a bright and breezy morning in the dark and dangerous north.

The wonder wheel of far too much pain to get off the sofa yesterday came in at a cortisol infested 5.6 this am.

So much going on today. Ignoring the blasted periformis exercises, I managed to do all my resistance band and kettlebell exercises and even supervised the bins.
Budget today so get your fantasy predictions in first on the so called “news” programs. Far more entertaining was the Lisa Nandy procrastination championships and the nonsense Harry/Greta phone call.
Meanwhile world leaders are schooling us about not touching our faces and then licking their finger to aid turning pages of their notes and telling us not to shake hands - and then demonstrating that very thing.
The wombles are taking a bit of a kicking also I notice and I am beginning to identify as hand-wash gel - can I compete in the olympics against those identifying as loo roll?
Must get out more often, stir crazy. Koffy - just have koffy.

@HarryBeau same here, I have an excellent excuse too as one granddaughter needs gluten free diet. Bacon and eggs girls? Situation slightly complicated by her younger brother needing dairy free. Both cases are definitely a need. Granddaughter was allowed to choose her own food when the family visited last year. Unfortunately without being given all the information to make good choices. While Mum and Dad were here she had croissant for breakfast, chocolate brioche snacks, crêpes. Baguette for lunch. Cheese and biscuits after dinner. Mum and Dad went back to work, leaving girls with us for a further week. She had been coughing a bit, but it suddenly got dramatically worse. Poor girl came up in hives and had dreadful stomach ache. She was looking really poorly, red, swollen eyes and awful hacking cough.
Cool shower for the hives and gluten free day. Amazing recovery.

6.3 this morning, that was 5am and now I think it's time to mow the lawns. Hopefully, the sun will continue for a while.

Went for a test drive in the new Mini Cooper EV for her Ladyship as she is thinking of changing her motor. Very nice drive so I now have to measure the garage for when she is driving herself. I did suggest crash bags on all the walls as it accelerates a lot faster than the Jimny :)

Definitely a cooked breakfast when the family arrive in future...cereals are banned form now on it's amazing how much sugar/rubbish is in every day products we often believe to be a healthy choice...even searching for very low or carb free food for the cats now.

You may need some crash bags OBB if the Mrs reads this:bag::bag::bag:

It was actually her idea, well, she said she would put carpet on the walls in case she got to close. I merely stated a better option ;) The really scary part was when she told me she has never used her mirrors, ever, and she drives with her left foot on the brake.

Fortunately, she's not my Mrs, I'm just her handyman/gardener/driver so the worst she can do is fire me :)

@HarryBeau Poor Lola. One of my son's cats had gingivitis and it lasted ages. Hopefully you spotted it early and will be quick cure. LC food for cats? Now I am checking the packet of dried food I keep for the stray. First ingredient Cereals :bigtears: and this is the packet supposedly without vegetables. Surely cats don't need vegetables?
@SaskiaKC call it excitement about the move. Sounds so much more positive. Good luck, am sure you will be fine
@Ryhia glad your appointment went well.

No according to what I've read they don't need carbs and much of the dried food has ingredients you just wouldn't believe they not designed to digest veggies protein is important...so stopped the dried food she was in such a lot of pain I felt dreadful poor little scrap...having said that your stray cat is lucky to have someone feeding it & will be grateful for being fed...why on earth won't people get their pets spayed/neutered or if they cannot keep them surrender them to one of the charities.

:banghead::banghead::banghead: blimey I thinks the garage ought to be extended I'm not sure carpet or crash bags would be of much use

Had a hour whilst Mrs MC sorted the horse and before gardening started so managed to finish my painting, Watercolour A4 based on a Welsh walk on a wet day, did some sketches when back at VW camper. I have decided to do a whole series of welsh Slate scenes so will post each as I do them. Posted thumbnails of progress to finished work.

@gennepher well done with Amazon, look forward to seeing your digital creation.

Some good BG numbers today.

@HarryBeau and @SlimLizzy interesting about carbs for animals, our Moet Labrador may have diabetes although not had blood test for it yet and we have been advised to check his carb intake by the vet. More informed than NHS seemingly.

Off to the garden now Mrs MC is calling.
