What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I am walking round with my bandana over my mouth and nose and a snood over it all as well. I am so wishing I had got one of those skeleton faces on the bandanas...but I got more typical lady designs.

Never thought i'd say this of you...but Bottled it..:sorry:

:D..how cool would that have been, some phone watching twazzock, bumping into YOU, expecting to give you a mouthful for not watching where YOUR going, and seeing the grim reaper, in an Burberry overcoat..glaring back...hahaha..

And now for something completely different ...

Late last night, just after I had gone to bed, I heard a voice in my apartment!?! I had turned off the TV and my phone had not turned itself on ... WHAT???!!!
I followed the voice across the apartment to the ceiling speaker to hear a disembodied (but as least clear) male voice saying Ladies and gentlemen an alarm has gone off in the building. Please stand by near your speakers.

What on earth???!!!??? Back before they re-did the fire alarm system the voice would say "A fire emergency has been reported in the building. Please stand by and await further instructions."

But this did not say "Fire" so there I was, in my pajamas, standing under the speaker, wondering if the Martians had landed on the roof, the President had helicoptered in for a briefing, or a horde of coronavirus-infected invaders had breached the security doors and were even now breathing and sneezing throughout the corridors.

Finally I came to my senses, went very slowly and outwardly calmly back to the bed and reached out for teh KittenCat just as she realized I was inwardly stressed and tried to elude my grasp.
But I got her and crated her.

Next thing I know:
"A FIRE HAS BEEN REPORTED ON YOUR FLOOR. GO TO THE NEAREST STAIRWELL AND EXIT THE BUILDING."

WHAT???!!!??? NO fire alarm has gone off, and always before the announcement has been to Stand By And Await Further Instructions.
So I scrambled into sweatpants, a jacket, shoes, grabbed my keys and the KittenCat, and went out into the corridor, only to find absolutely none of my neighbors running towards the stairwell. No smoke. No smell of burning. No heat.

So I called down to the lobby desk, where, thankfully, the security guard, being new, was actually at his post and answered the phone and said he didn't know what the heck was going on other than 3 apartments had sprung leaks. At least that's what I thought he said, because by now my neighbors had come out into the corridor and one was asking me if there was a fire -- like I knew, right? -- and I couldn't hear the guard, and the neighbors who don't understand or speak English were asking what was going on (at least I assumed they were, I don't speak their languages either).

Then the security guard appeared out of the stairwell -- not even out of breath after climbing all those stairs! -- and another neighbor is so loudly telling him what he "should" be doing that she can't hear him trying to explain that he is TRYING to find out what the heck is going on.

Then he went back downstairs, we all went back into our apartments, I put the KittenCat, still in her crate, on the sofa beside me and told her I would release her as soon as I heard the All Clear. She replied Meow MEOW meow.
Never got the All Clear but never heard any fire engine sirens so figured it was a false alarm like all the others that occasionally occur. Made note to self to tell staff on Monday that they need to inform us of the new announcement and to not PANIC when we hear it; made follow-up note to self to not bother as staff would not act upon it. ...
Eventually fell asleep, in pajamas, in bed, with KittenCat released from her crate and outwardly none the worse for the experience.

Sigh.

Very worrying. Hugs to you all and hopes and prayers it is indeed just a cold.

Good luck with the crumpets. I bought a pack of strawberry toaster pastries the other day to tempt my appetite during the duration.
...
They are all gone. :(
Hence this morning's 8.something FBG, before I ate the last one.
Hence my hopes that your crumpets will last you longer than my Pop-Tarts did me.

Two letter sent to govt, highlight the risks of the current strategy... Second letter, read down

BBC News - Coronavirus: Some scientists say UK virus strategy is 'risking lives'
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-51892402

And Wayne Rooney, weirdly enough. On workers rights.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51896488

While a little bit to pampered "Elite" for my liking, does make a good point... However, retty sure he and the missus will still expect bar staff, chauffeurs, gardeners, decorators, heath workers, to continue working for the foreseeable future..

Can only hope all the sycophants, take off those rose coloured glasses and remove their tongues from the posterior of others and rip them to shreds as we all hunker down to hide from the coming storm,

as Mrs Rooney . krabdushians, and all the the rich vacuous airheads,
do there obligatory Instagram/Facebook post as an example to us all,
about how THEY are coping so magnificently, with looking after their OWN children
doing their own cooking and cleaning and ALL while only having several millions in
the bank and worried where the next pay check is coming in now Wayne, etc can't get a job....:arghh::arghh:

Yeah i know a dream, but what a nice one ;)
Interesting points. You could also add the man who spent 4 years stopping (only) just short of advocating a shooting war against 48% of his own country now asking us all to care for each other. This after a decade of making the poorest, youngest and most vulnerable pay so his ilk can luxuriate. Don't think Wayne R has or ever will make my grandchildren pay for his ego to be stroked but I take your point.

Is there an American translation please?

Even though I'm in a clan I run solo and avoid the pvp for the same reasons as you. My Hunter is currently maxed up at 960 with a +6 bonus on top. I am on Steam so just looked for you, found three with your handle and didn't want to invite some 6 year old :) So here's my friend code, you can enter it in steam in the friends section if you wish... 236752973 Not obligations there at all, just if you fancy running around shooting stuff like a looney (my way of doing things) I can fireteam you if you don't want a clan;)

FO4 is still my 'go to' as well, I am a modder so FO4 and Skyrim are run at max, never tried Bioshock though. Looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077, it's on my wishlist at Steam. My son is the lead programmer for Rockstar games and keeps pestering me to play Red Dead Redemption, but unless he gets me a discount he can forget it.
Never been in a clan OBB, but I can see the benefits/enjoyment of being in one, I'm fairly new to this game downloaded it off of steam after getting bored with elder scrolls. I'm still at the running around shooting everything stage, I tend to be slower on the uptake of the game dynamics than everyone else, my son in law will study youtube videos for hours before he even buys a game, so starts off better than most. I have a 900 warlock and an 850 titan, I prefer the warlock tbh. I did have a go in the crucible but it was embarrassing, some of these players are so good you don't get a shot away before they dispatch you.
Fallout 4 is still my go back to game, although I enjoyed the Bioshock series recently, they were really was really atmospheric.

I still use trick60 as a name in D2 I didn't know you could change it, so I'll keep an eye out for the lone wolf and keep my head down.
Is there an English translation please?
I'm with you @ianpspurs i was looking for the translation rating .

Actually back in 1981 I had my own computer software business writing accounts, stock control, payrolls and production control systems for computer companies Digital Equipment, Olivetti, Data General and many commercial businesses, I employed 5 programmers including myself and we were very busy. One of the younger programmers approached me one day and said why don't we branch out into games software? My answer was no money in that we will stick with commercial software :banghead: one of my many wrong decisions in life :joyful:

yeah, we are.
Of course you are worried who wouldn't be...I expect you are right it is just a cold however we all need to be careful and take as many precautions as we can...she's fortunate she has you & her mum to look out for her hope it resolves quickly & favourably.

FBG 4.6 this morning. Result of sterilizing my throat with a little dash of alcohol. Was 3.9 yesterday though so maybe not such a false reading. No exercise just carnivore.
3.6 before lunch what is going on! Lunch was a large salmon steak, cabbage, cauli with cheese sauce and a little swede. Followed this with sugar free jelly and a dollop of cream. Definitely wont be in the 3s long after that.
