What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

The badge. You forgot the badge - should puncture PPE gowns nicely. Just gets better and better.

""..*squawk, noise, #**8 squa.....OMG there is some one out there...

yes, yes, the badges....
i heard that nice winston smith explain this so well

"Much is said of the 10k bung.
But honestly, what use is that to anyone except MP', who know HOW to use that effectively..."

Nice shiny badges,..so desirable
lucky workers..so honoured.
did hear those who fall, get upgraded to their names in DIAMANTE

i know some disagree, but it seems NOTHING is too good for our front line heroes
and our glorious Govt is making that very clear to one and a.......*squawk, noise, #**8 squa"

thank you so much for that post @karen8967

PS does anyone know how long he "Ramped" that up for, before getting stuck in and taking such decisive action..?

asking for a friend* in Govt.

Thank goodness that public opinion can force the government to do the right thing.

agree, but shameful we have to keep on at them, to do the right thing, constantly...:banghead:

perhaps lucky, where we live as people still care and have reporters willing to take and ask difficult questions
without just sucking up to those in power, "knowing best "....:sorry:

after all this great forum set that in motion, isn't that why WE are all here.?

Bucking that conventional expert opinion..?
enjoying the wisdom of crowds, not the wisdom of clowns.

And seeking knowledge elsewhere to help us make our OWN opinions,
rather then being spoon fed, like some ?

Long live that freedom to think..
The herd WILL remember.

I have some old oak floorboards, but they are so tough I can barely saw them up...they are very hard...

But you have half suggested another possible idea @PenguinMum
mmh.

if i am understanding the issue, would the floorboards be usable as ONE set at back amd dug in, with a sheet planted firmly at bottom of it, then at night lay the sheet over the rear floorboard, and do the same with floorboard at front, so the sheet forms a net over the veg etc ?
a box or barrier either end might stop most except the most determined ..maybe ?

obv length of floorboard maybe issue, of course
but maybe fewer cuts ?

I will only cut those floorboards again if I have a circular saw (which I don't have), it nearly killed me last time sawing through them @jjraak

They are full length, almost too heavy for me to lift now. I am not the Amazonian I once was...just a frail batty old lady now...

But if I was convinced something would work...

I am still thinking...

First digital painting done today...Apple Blossom in the SketchClubApp. Took me nearly couple hours. It is right outside my potting shed window.

I am not happy with it at all...

Tried another painting with different typefaces (fonts) in it...butI don't know what I am doing with the size of the typeface, it is responsive to the pressure and twist and turn of the finger on the tablet screen...here is is...not satisfied with it....Took me an hour ish...

@gennepher thank you for the different medium of the apple blossom which is quite abstract to me and very colourful. The second one is very intriguing. You must be tired.
Have you any large boxes or crates, or large sheet plastic or otherwise could cover the lot and be anchored by heavy items? Lol I’m not giving up, dont like the idea of your plants being burgled in the night. :arghh:

I have large cardboard boxes @PenguinMum in the garage which I can make back up again to put over them. And yes, some big pieces heavy broken paving stones. To weight them down.

No rain expected until tomorrow night, so I can see what happens to that lot in the night. And reassess ideas tomorrow.

You made me smile with “Lol I’m not giving up, dont like the idea of your plants being burgled in the night. :arghh:

Have you got a tarpaulin by any chance or could you order one from Amazon? I had a couple, they were big and very useful in many ways, gathering raked leaves, waterproofs for the ride on mower for the many times it broke down. Gave one to son when he moved.
