What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Morning and 5.9 for me today.

Head ache, probably the red wine, but I didn't drink the whole bottle so maybe not, or then again.........

So paracetamol and try to shake it off.

Keep safe and sensible, or maybe not just do your own thing and enjoy it.

(Raised I think 'cos of my stress yesterday with that commission)

Temp 34.9

Colder here. Cat must be feeling it in his old bones, he crept under the covers to sleep alongside my warm leg.

The wind is having a wild party outside. So no pastel for today's painting challenge.

My painting desk is piled up with things I am going to sort out, so can't do a paintbrush painting. So another digital painting.

Take care, dodge any flying objects the wind is trying to relocate....

Blinking heck. That is dangerous @Muddy Cyclist
What kind of mentality are the people that do this?

On our local online neighbourhood site, people have reported finding sausages with nails in them, when they took their dogs for walks in the local park, which is a nature reserve as well.
That's awful. Almost unbelievable.

6.20am FBG 5.3 amazing. Thought it would be way higher as I had the munchies all day yesterday.
Late night snack of toast and cheese spread as well as more wine than is sensible. It was either that or more toast. Why has toast suddenly become the one thing I want to eat, after months of about two slices a week?
Weather forecast is sunny but cool, sheets in the wash now and clouds rolling in. Maybe they won't come to anything
Must do better today. Any suggestions as to how to stay away from the fridge would be appreciated.

I am going to be defrosting mine today, the ice is creeping out of the fridge...
So I am not much help am I?

My painting for today's daily painting challenge to myself.
I was going to draw something with an iPad painting brush I have, but my fingers are stiff today (probably this sudden cold weather).

I have an old picture postcard of Lindisfarne Priory on Holy Island (I've never been there). So I used that as a starting point. This has gone through many different apps and effects to get what I wanted.

This is my best offering for a painting today.

Now me and Popeye are going to have a nap...before I defrost/de-ice that fridge...

Good morning all from a cold and blustery Anglo American corner of Suffolk. Salmon, asparagus and h/m hollandaise produced a 4.7 @ 6.05. The scales, sleep score, resting pulse and oxygen variation all hunky dory so at least I can play to the gallery of toys. With no blood work or cameras in delicate places who knows what is really going on? On reflection that just about covers the daily briefing charade. @Muddy Cyclist I hope the headache goes soon. @SlimLizzy can't help with #fridgegate - I just look, see LC food, swear a bit and have a walk. Worth a try? Talking of walking @dunelm I am now bored of 14 hrs of Steps so

Morning...another reasonable sleep I'm spoiling myself...breezy here and a little chilly while I'm grateful it cooled down I need to look out some kind of foot covering...watching the news is distressing & enraging the world seems to be ion total disarray...coffee & them more coffee managed to do some more remote work yesterday but find the whole experience a little surreal...woke to a 6.5

Good morning everyone from a stay indoors morning in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of a chicken, chorizo and tomato one pan bake came in at 4.7 this am

Baking and things yesterday. First a few bread rolls using a Tangzhong method of hydration to give a better rise (you can google the word if you want to give it a go). Then a batch of turmeric tea. I have also found that 24 hours in the fridge followed by 24 hours on the kitchen counter makes for a very thick and creamy kefir.

New resistance bands arrived missing one of the carabiners. On to the supplier and they sent out a set of four which arrived yesterday. Good service all round.

Have the most wonderful day that you can, I will be remembering all those who were alive on 6th June 1944, especially my grandfather who took part in the landings and my other three grandparents who kept the steel flowing in Sheffield. Koffy.

Yes, definitely the stress. Do you think you really will say no next time when someone asks you to do a commission? I also struggle with saying no and often slot clients into my lunch hour when I really ought to say no.

That's hauntingly beautiful. Reflections on water, a night village scene, moonlight through ruins, creation? A provocative piece indeed.
