What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Bearing in mind all the phone reviews and don't test advice this is quite sobering:
"the fact that deaths related to asthma and diabetes are occurring at a “significantly higher rate compared to the five-year average” could indicate that some people with these conditions are not receiving care fast enough to prevent death taking place, due to extra pressures on the healthcare system.

The ONS added that it is “plausible” that some of these deaths are because undiagnosed Covid-19 had “exacerbated the pre-existing condition”.
Plausible doesn't cover it.:bigtears::bigtears: Must be journalists nit picking and not cheering enough even though it looks and feels very much like inadvertent? harvesting.

Bald, 70, T2D, Male, think I'm going to apply for the job as local hermit.

Live is suddenly getting more dangerous and Mountain Biking is even more risky as from today, this was sent to me taken in our local woods by at Brocton...

Never mind bikes, what about Kids, dogs, horses, OAPs, ?

Being a Hermit is looking most attractive.
Blinking heck. That is dangerous @Muddy Cyclist
What kind of mentality are the people that do this?

On our local online neighbourhood site, people have reported finding sausages with nails in them, when they took their dogs for walks in the local park, which is a nature reserve as well.

As for GP's bitter experience has taught me to classify them into 3 classes.
1 Can be used for a diagnosis.
2 Fit only to fill in prescription forms.
3 Not fit for man nor beast and if they were on fire, not worth urinating on to quench the flames.
Now GP nurses for my complex medical conditions, they are a walking liability and to be avoided at all times.
I sadly agree on all counts, especially number 3....

In Norfolk we had trip wire placed across a path alongside the River Bure. So dangerous for everyone.

Tesco shopping early and back home by 8 am was bearable thank goodness.

So finished my family evening meal challenge by writing The Animal Outfit Blues which I will perform, at the end I will put on ties 3 ties with Dogs, Cts and Lions on, A Bear Skin hat, not real, a Sherpa Lambs Wool Hat and a Fedora with Peacock Feather borrowed from Mrs Mc in hat band. Animal Outfits, yes I know a bit of a cheat but best I can do.

Finished my stepping stone watercolour, A4 and about 2 hours in total. Not much changed since yesterday..

I like this very much It is good.
I may be wrong but I think you are getting used to that Canson paper.

The painting is bold which I think is what you might need with the Canson paper, but yet you still got that fine detail in various parts of it.

I think you have been very successful with this @Muddy Cyclist

I am only looking at it, at the moment, on my very small phone screen, and I can go all over the picture and see the detail on it. And it works very well as a small picture on the phone screen. I have not looked at it on the big iPad screen yet.

Got the iPad out and it looks very good on there as well. And I can see even more detail with the bigger screen.

A brilliant painting.

i really like that picture. Thanks you very much for sharing. Such a talented man. The story is also bound to be a success.

Thank you for you compliments on my stepping stone painting @gennepher and @ianpspurs

Not sure about my family meal challenge blues Animal Outfit song being a success. It's ablues so no difficulty with the tune sing along to and 12 bar blues. Words come easy, any old nonsense about Animals and Outfits :playful: it's an easy option, Mrs MC spent hours stitching costumes for a soft toy rabbit, grandkids will have done some very creative work as willdaughter and SIL so my effort will be seen as Dad/Grandad ran out of ideas :playful: I do have an ace up my sleeve, some slightly rude words in the song, well not very rude just appear that way used in the context of the song, should get my grandaughters and the boys giggling and me in trouble with Mrs MC, I am a bad influence Grandad, but it may just earn me some extra votes.:joyful:

With the prospect of zoo’s closing, this needs filming and sent to National Geographic.
Excellent picture by the way

How horrible, this could cause a nasty accident.

My painting today.
It's a commission and I am not happy with it. I have already spent too long on it, doing bits on it over this last week. Wanted to finish it today, but it's been raining on and off. So took it in the potting shed, but soft pastels which I have used for most of it are now too messy. So I got my conte crayons out. They are a bit hard, but I couldn't find my pastel crayons.

I can see stuff wrong with it, but I've had enough with it, and so it is finished.

It is part of the Rocky Mountains.

I like painting mountains but only in acrylics and a palette knife. Not in pastels.

What a good idea, song went well, Mrs MC was perfect with the timing on the props. I was voted second, told you the not so very rude word in the right place would secure votes, OK will risk it being banned by the moderators the line was. ' I would like to be a Peacock but have no feathers on my bum' incase its zapped rhymes with bun. Told you it wasn't that rude. Here is a picture of my effort with props.

There was also an old school tie wth a Lion on. Sing it to any 12 bar blues.
Thanks for comment on my painting.

A good picture, clients should be pleased. However I know that feeling when things have not turned out the way you would have liked and the thought of doing it again is just a step to far, hug for that.

No atriste.

But i liked that a lot.

a little off tangent perhaps, BUT like making a recipe.

you know you added X item too much or too little.
left out an unobtainable one maybe so substituted
YOU knew...so felt bad

but those licking their lips and asking for "MORE, Please.".
should be all the proof you need..

success.

Thank you @Muddy Cyclist
I am not charging for it, or I would've done it again.
However I have been asleep the last hour and a half, and the feed back has.come back that they prefer my pastel to the original photo.

Maybe they are being kind, but I think they mean it :)

Next time I shall keep my mouth shut and not say yes....
It has been like The Sword of Damacles hanging over my head.
Memo to self - “do not say yes to another commission, it is not fun to do”
