What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Sounds as though you had a good day @jjraak
Our local gym/ice rink/sports centre got made into a rainbow hospital which never got used, so no sports centre here any more.
Take care
Have a good day.
I did @gennepher.

A jaunt around my area on Pablo, to
& from gym.
Trip to barbers,
Visit to daughter, to fix stuff,
Then an aimless mooch around town
Set me up nicely for a bath, dinner and a quiet night in front of tv.

All in, a rather pleasant day all round.
Thank you.

Not too sure what to make of the rainbow/nightingale.

PR Stunt or just Ill thought out ?

I like to think glad we didn't need them,

But if I'm honest I think the medics decided they weren't safe or a sensible use of limited resources..

Have a good day, Genn.
Love to Popeye.

good afternoon all :)

4.8 today

It's a soggy day here today but at least it's not cold ;), spent the morning topping and tailing gooseberries, listening to an audio book and watching the visitors from the caravan site wandering about in their waterproofs in the rain. It's a shame as you said @lindisfel when we had so many good days of weather during the strict lockdown.

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@ianpspurs - hugs for the 'homesickness' it can bite you when you least expect it :(

@dunelm - I like the touch of green it adds a new dimension :)

@gennepher - your picture works well and I like the bird, sorry for your struggle, it can be difficult to get back into something when your flow has been interrupted :sorry:

@Muddy Cyclist - I love your pencil lanscape, such a grand vista, what type of pencils do you use? Interested to see what your sketches work up like :)

art bit - tried doing a sketch in mum's garden yesterday with some 'watercolour' pencils I found I had, don't know how long they had been sitting in the cupboard, a couple of years at least. they will not live in the cupboard any longer, they will go! the pigment was so hard I scratched the paper surface trying to get some colour onto the paper :hilarious:

today's offering -
watercolour approx A5

Thank you @geeful. I did like the green but need to play with the tone of it. Loving your sea watercolours - this one reminds me of a place called Staithes on the North Yorkshire coast and the path leading down to the lifeboat houses.

Very, very late on parade.

So Monday.

My self proclaimed resurrection day.

threw off the lethargy,..and monday

Hit the GYM
Pre booked and pretty empty.
All wipes, sprays, towelling & hand sanitizer

After a few months being rather lazy,
My fitness tracker finally gets put through its paces.
Not a bad start back, and it felt good, that it felt GOOD.

Sounds like you had a great day - being out, out - happy days

good morning everyone from a very quiet and sunny start to the day in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of chunks of cod swimming in butter and herbs roared abroad and gently whispered 4.9 this am

The ninky nonks have departed - what a manic yet wonderful few days - I needed to inspect the sofa for an hour after they left and then got on with returning the house to it’s default settings; five lots of laundry, toys back in boxes, furniture from dolls house, recently used as latest ‘catch’ and stuffed into fishing nets - now returned to start positions for next invasion, two old silver cross dolls prams and associated paraphernalia sorted out. Why is it that Jammy Dodgers are the absolute pinnacle of gastronomic excitement and anticipation when you are three or even five years old?

Hope everyone is well - no idea what day it is but it will soon be bin day. Meanwhile, koffy.

"Grey skies, frowning on me nothing but grey skies do I see" ;)

5.8 this morning so all's good.

Hoping the rain holds off as I'd thrown some slabs down on a tatty gravel patch. I need to chalk them up so I remember where they go before lifting them to get the ground ready.

Enjoy the day :)

Good morning all you busy being busy people. My fbg was somewhere between the 4.6 initial Libre reading and the 5.2 Tee 2 a little later. I guess you'd call my way of managing T2 - as a mentor of mine said,- MBWA - management by walking about. Yesterday sounds like a physical and spiritual rebirth in many ways @jjraak so I'm delighted for you. @Alien Aspie I believe you should be renamed, Capability Aspie - a true Renaissance man. @karen8967 great fbg and as always so upbeat. @Muddy Cyclist this is the link I omitted yesterday. https://www.calculator.net/ideal-we...tinch=10&cheightmeter=181&printit=0&x=71&y=20. @dunelm I'm pretty sure you will miss those ninky nonks - I love that programme.Bath, bottle, Night Garden, bed - perfect. A rocking horse arrived about 10 mins before Miss I'm 2 now, yesterday - best Amazon could do. Brief respite before another 2nd birthday on Friday in Southampton - video link for that one. Toodle pip.

Nightingale/Rainbow... a PR stunt...we can do what China did in a quick turnaround in adapting premises. But it was a costly exercise. And in my area has deprived children and adults of a whole swathe of sports facilities (there was tons more stuff going on there), which is going to have a knock on effect (especially for teenagers) for a long time to come.

I am glad you are getting to some kind of 'normality' in your daily life @jjraak We all need that.
Take care.

Magical, these little humans do bring so much enjoyment but it ain't half nice to collapse in a pile for a few moments before the next round of chaos.

Many techniques applied in the brushwork of that mountain scene you have created. A grand feeling of majesty and vastness, very effective.

Jammy Dodgers, now there's something I haven't tasted in a very long time, I used to love pinching a few to have with my afternoon coffee. :)

Brilliant @dunelm
So atmospheric!
I love it.
It is a look I am aiming for in my ZenBrush2 paintings, but failed miserably at so far.
I still don't understand how practice runs of scribbles in this app gets amazing effects, yet when I settle down to do the actual painting, every one of those effects has deserted me :(

Absolutely amazing @Alien Aspie
You are a master at everything......
I think I will go back to being a hermit....

@jjraak that looks a mighty fine gym you visit, a much more civilised way to get your exercise than my muddy workouts, seems you had a very good day, well done.

Perhaps But if i had the location access you have, i might prefer the actual outdoors

....and that "muddy ride."

brings back so many childhood days, when us kids practically lived in the saddle during the log hot summers
(or so it seemed)
Trips to Battersea, racing up and down the hills in the park (all gone or cordoned off now sadly)
loooong ride outs to the airport, and tearing along the river bank walks, splashing through the rough ground & the odd puddles,
Polo on pushbikes.(cos we woz posh like),
and 2 wheeled run outs, which never lasted long, before some one came a cropper or it just got too boring.

then home for tea..happy days indeed.

so i think you Gym beats mine, no matter how well organised it is.;)

@ianpspurs , @dunelm ..
yes the day did feel like a renewal, & in some ways spiritually too.

cheers for the support.

mentally more alert and 'UP' for another DO day, after i let far too many become Zombie days

and to top it all.

It's BIN DAY...:D
