What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

@lindisfel
We do seem to be upsetting folks of late yes. I am trying to stay clear of the quagmire that certain parts of the forum have become recently hope things calm down soon.

Well the news programs are full of drear and dread presentiments of late so we decided as the day was not so bad to get out for a while.

Took camera for a walk I have no dog,

Inspiring photos. :)

Took camera for a walk I have no dog,
Your second picture of water reminded me of one I took of a wave at sunset, such fun these water in motion photos.

It was at Barmouth and the sea was coming in hitting the prom and the wave going back out hit the next wave coming in shooting the water high into the air, spectacular.

@Muddy Cyclist Thank you.

I love water in motion especially when you get that metalic silvery sheen with it I like your photos immensely.

I was muddy hiking boot wearer there for a while the vantage point for the water fall photos was down a very slippery muddy path with a steepish slope.:)

These are brilliant shots @Muddy Cyclist
I have never taken a photo like this, only of hundreds of waves coming into the shoreline...mostly paper print photos from years ago...

Good Morning and 5.9 for me today. No idea why as last night I made a Leak, Cheese and Mushroom Pie with a shortcrust pastry top as comfort food and yes I did eat my share of it.

MILS bungalow again today, last chance to remove what remains to a charity shop as they close from today. VW Golf off for Cam belt change that was not done when in for it's MOT as time ran out.

Not yet looked what's going on across the pond, dare I?

Days come and go, make the best you can if this one. Keep safe.

Hug for being in the wars health wise, take care that's quite a cocktail of medicine.

Two very excellent pieces of art from you today, I like the colour pallet of the first and perspective and suggestion of those ghostly poppies, brilliant.
Thank you @Muddy Cyclist cyclist for your kind comments. Still playing Hoppalong Cassidy but the director says that I am losing the limp.

4.8 this morning. Had a long break between classes so went over the road and had a lovely dinner. New York chicken with salad. I asked for extra melted cheese over the chicken and Bacon - delicious.

My last day teaching face to face - tomorrow it's the great Zoom experiment. Was looking for some positives in moving to Zoom and found two - (1) I don't have to sanitise the floor of a huge hall after a zoom class. (2) nor do I have to deep clean the hall toilets. So actually teaching on Zoom does have its plusses.

Good morning everyone from a morning of mixed messages from across the pond
The wonder wheel of mainly eggs came in at 5.3 this am

Looks like the supreme court is now going to be dragged into the elections over the pond - what a terrible thing to drag democracy through the dirt. We will have to see how this pans out.

No real painting yesterday, just a few self lessons painting chrysanthemums. The yellow ones on backing paper and the red one on an A5 piece of unsized rice paper.

Been awake on and off since 5am watching this total clusterfloop of a US Election and just watched Dump’s speech!

I am holding off with the Blood Pressure reading!

Last chance for a Tennis hit this morning before lockdown, last time I had a hair cut booked just after lockdown started and the hairdressers rang to tell me that I would be contacted after lockdown to reschedule. This time they didn’t even bother! Have a hair cut booked with someone who used to do my hair at that salon and it is considerably cheaper so this might be a money-saving switch for the future.

Andrew Neil’s indignation is enough to get me out of bed to make a cuppa.

This is why Trump fought so hard to preload the supreme court with his cronies in case he needed it.

A 5.0 this morning and keytones still above 2.0. I had chicken cooked in the air fryer yesterday which was as bland as I remember it being. Not a fan of chicken so I rarely, if ever, have it. I'm going to need a 'safe' way to spice it up a bit.

Tidying up the gardens today, enjoy the sunshine (even if it is -2C here atm) :)

Fbg 6.7

An American friend has been emailing me through the night over her despair of Trump maybe getting in again...

So, I have been awake awhile...

My painting offering for today...digital.
In Procreate, then Snapseed for frame and name.
I was going to stop after an hour, but this is more therapeutic than artistic. So I just carried on working, playing, altering it. Then it yelled STOP at me. It is now 9 am and I have stuff to do...

@gennepher Thanks for the kind comment.

Tested on waking this morning and the meter insists my blood sugars are at 7.8 no matter how many times I test so will have to accept the highest fbg can can remember in a long time and I can't fathom it.

But the world still turns the sun is shining there's a clear blue sky and it's a balmy 1 degree C so can't complain.
