What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

good evening all :)

@gennepher - that's lovely texture and light in today's painting :joyful: and I particularly like the glints of autumn colours against the dark :)

art bit -

more cloud practice from an internet photo :) around A5 size and done with the White Nights watercolour.

Thank you @geefull

This is a beautiful painting. I love that rain!

Did two classes on Zoom this evening. They went really well and I really enjoyed thrm. No hitches.

I can't believe l did so much stressing out over them. I could see class members really clearly and was able to easily correct them. I can hardly believe it went so well - especially as I was so sure it would be a complete disaster.
Congratulations on your success with your zoom classes @Krystyna23040
:)

A lot of work finding room in our shed for the capstan tobaco tins we bought back from MILs shed, shelves erected, shed rearranged, rubbish sorted.

Finished the heathland Autumn scene, may add some more grass in foreground once it's dry. A4 watercolour about 2 hours in total..

I love this. Takes me back to when I took J to Cannock Chase. He had never heard of the place. And we did a lot of wandering then...

Good morning everyone on a bit of a damp squib of a post bonfire night in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of more spiced and roasted cauliflower came in at 5.0 this am

Today’s picture was painted with a cut down brush, a stubble brush if you like, with not much ink on it to keep it fairly dry. Zen style - with the ink laid in only a minute or two without stopping . Background colour added after.
Hope everyone is OK and managing to keep themselves busy. Time for koffy.

Not sure what brought that on..

And with apologies for the light/exposure/photographer..

Here's the little chap looking out to sea ( ok river, but not so poetic)

and we had a 'sleep' over as a few fireworks display nears his house and ours seemed to be in a much quieter area.

On return Marley (cat) on our top step, dog got there first before we realised :woot:

Both Practiced great Covid protocols, kept a social distance, respectfully sniffed the air and then passed each other as if the other didn't exist
:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:.

Spoke to youngest nephew other day,
We are the polar opposite on this, so weird how we both see the BBC as not being "Entirely truthful or Trustworthy"..;)

As for the US Election, he was confident trump would walk the election.
i had strong hopes Biden postal votes strategy would prevail, and give trump false hope and then he would meltdown,

So the cheerful banter from him as the results rolled in, was politely taken

he has Strangely enough been quiet since, maybe i should call him, and catch up on 'things'...;) :hilarious::hilarious:

But it does show we can sometimes disagree and still have more in common then not.

Stay safe all.

Thank you @Muddy Cyclist - the idea is to try and compose in your head and then just let it go.
The brush on the right of this picture shows how short these stiff bristles are compared to a regular brush of similar size

Crumbs! That is cut well back. I will try if I can get brave enough to attack one of my brushes with scissors. :)

Shame about the clock @Muddy Cyclist but absolutely take it to be repaired. The guy is working from home and handover both ways can easily be as safe as possible.
As it was Foggy here first thing I fore went Muddy Cycle Ride and took my old Victorian Clock to be repaired. The guy I handed it over to looked as old as my clock, he says he's swamped and it will probably be December when it is done, I just hope his ticker keeps ticking. He was most upset when I told him not to set the Chimes in motion, we really could not live with them chiming through the nights.

A good day out, nice photos.

Really need to find a different way to deal with distress.
Food and comfort eating, It's also my weakness, I turn to cheese and biscuits then feel guilty and full of regret. On the positive side you know it's a problem to be addressed as do I. Hugs for whatever bad news is causing you to feel the need to eat.

Oh dear @Muddy Cyclist
He really wanted to put that clock in perfect working order. I would have let him set those chimes to make him happy...but then, once my speech processor is taken off for the night, I can't hear a thing....

Two paintings, well actually part paintings not finished. First is the misty valley I drove down to Clock Repair Man the second the woods at Shugbourgh in Autumn Coat, this one is very wet on Wet, lots of gloopy watercolour let it run and merge, spray, let it run again, dry, then splatter with watercolour, all I have to do now once it's dry is make it look like an Autumn woodland :). First Mrs MC insists I remove all the splashed watercolour from places it should not be. :joyful:
