What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning all, and a dreary one it is too.

FBG today is 4.7 with ketones at 4.2 which is good considering I was awake until 3 am :)

Hopefully, my sim card will arrive today and my phone will be back to normal. I've been mithering about it which is silly as I rarely make a phone call preferring instead text or email. It's more likely that it's because the phone isn't fulfilling its function and that, not the phone, is winding me up.

Sometimes hyperfocus is a pain.

You don't need to finish the background.
The unfinished quickly sketched out background helps to emphasise the beauty of the gorgeous creature in front.
In my mind, this is perfect the way it is.

I like both your sketches.
There is so much suggested detail in the top one...
The bottom one has this slight addition of brown that I like, gives it a warmth...

6.1 ➡️ and pretty stable last night. Added sweet potato to my balsamic brussels and bacon which bulked it out a bit and made it quite yummy.

If I remember, bit o'salmon out for tonight - Sweet chilli salmon and grilled asparagus is the plan for tonight.
 
So we come to Friday 13th and another chance for the western world's two biggest manchildren to let some blood. Talking of which, I am still abstaining so my fbg is a known unknown. Pretty sure it too is non zero. The known known is today will be Super Salmon Salad Friday ( with avo but defo no chilli @RFSMarch) here so another autumn/winter day will have at least some joy to help the time pass. Wonderful artwork @Alien Aspie - and @dunelm @Muddy Cyclist @gennepher and @geefull - and hugs for the distraction. Interesting that stress/distraction has not inhibited the great work fasting has done/is doing for your bg and ketones. Great photos @lindisfel @Muddy Cyclist hugs for #skipgate and all the work lately. As for hanging things, I would gladly pay someone if I could see the point of covering walls. Julie has large, canvas, framed, photos she wants hung - I was partly hoping they wouldn't survive the move. Ideally, I would have bare brick and unpainted wood everywhere but modern houses don't even have proper plaster on the walls to hack off. Stay as safe as one can in this dystopian, Vote Leave, faecal matter farce. Who elected Carrie btw?

Fbg 6.4

My painting for today.
Digital painting in Procreate.
Meant to be a quickie, but took me 28 minutes...I suppose that is a quickie?
Sun has just come out on a grey morning, and I want to be out there in my front garden with a coffee, so bye...

Aaaggh, iPad would only let me have it as just over 100kb in their large size???!...so I had to put it through an image resizer to get it to just under 1MB in order to post it...otherwise it was a total blur...

Grr, this took me 10 mins to get it the right size to post...

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who are growing webbed feet.

Whoops a 5.2 on the meter of mystery and naughtiness this morning, me and me's are going to start up the Cray supercomputer to try and calculate my insulin dosage factoring activity into the equation.

As me and me's have said before I really appreciate the art work posted, but special mention must be made of @dunelm, Mrs J and me's always try to spot the helicopter in @dunelm 's art work.

Mrs J continues to practice her art work using a program called Colouring Book and has produced a couple of pictures worthy of posting, but alas ( Smith and Jones ) refuses to let me publish them.

Today is not quite a blank canvas here in Tilehurst Towers, but this morning could involve idle fingers getting into trouble again.

I was thinking the same thing as I expected it all to go to pot. Yesterday I overindulged with some edam cheese and chorizo, had a steak for lunch with gravy made from beef bone broth. I fully expected all my numbers to go nuts but the highest they reached through the day was 5.6 before dropping back to around 4.3. Can't say I've ever understood this T2 lark ;)

Very atmospheric - i like the way the sunlight pours like liquid between the trees - have a great day
 
5.5 this morning. Dogs walked and Aldi shop done. Everything sanitised and packed away in cupboards, fridge and freezer. Just relaxing and reading before doing some admin. Feeling a bit lazy this morning.
 
Phew. The John Lewis Christmas advert is out so UK Christmas is saved. I feel a merch fest coming on. It is, apparently, what grandparents do and this year the profits go to charity. Spiffing pyjamas IMHO.
 
I hope my friends here will permit me a grumble. I needed to get some stuff from Body Shop and I decided to pop into the bank to pay cash in and collect it this morning before a day of remote press conferences ahead of the ATP Finals at the O2.

Door firmly closed but cheerful messages urging you to click and collect! Turns out they are only opening Thu/Fri/Sun 12-4 and on Saturday 10-4.
Think that would have been useful information to know ahead of time! I should have opted for delivery! Now have to schlep back into town tomorrow to get it. Very Grrr!

That is so annoying. Why oh why didn't they update their website. I think you are definitely allowed a grumble.
