What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Hello from a dark, wet and dreary but heavily militarised Breckland. My first reading since Sept 2 was 4.4 but my team will ensure only legal mmol/s are counted just so I win. @RFSMarch you sound motivated enough to reach that <10 stone goal. @lindisfel the scan or no scan call requires the judgement of Solomon, I hope your eldest helps you make a decision with which you are happy. @gennepher what a thoughtful and caring analysis of where we are. IMHO we have needed change for at least 2 decades and buried our heads in the sand post 2008. I can't see past Boomers 1 and 2 as the reason we are in this mess. UK and parts of USA seem to be in the grip of angry old white men trying desperately to continue living in the 50s - possibly 1850s. It may take a decade for the next big idea which is why I eat my salad and avo:angelic:

5.3 this morning. Definitely not going out this morning as the rain is torrential. Have decided instead to have a lazy day and then walk the dogs around our little market town this afternoon when the rain stops. We have to buy more cream and there was something I wanted to buy in Boots - hopefully l will remember what it was by this afternoon.

Yesterday taught for 5 1/2 hours on Zoom with only a 10 minute break. I couldn't believe just how tired I felt afterwards.

The psyllium, flaxseed, hemp seed and inulin combo is working like magic.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

A 5.6 on the meter of mystery and misbehaving.

I know today will be busy, but I know not what me and me's will be doing.

Make the most of today fellow posters and painters, perhaps catching up on those films etc.

good evening all :)

4.3 today

flu jabs today ;) - wait outside a side door on the lawn, then get in the socially distanced queue when your name is called, letter visually checked on entry then forward to the main waiting room to your assigned taped out square space to wait :D down the corridor to the room designated, letter checked again then jab given and out via the rear fire escape :) six people per 5 minute slot, six rooms with nurses/doctors all running on time, very well organised :angelic:

Hope your day is treating you well :)

@dunelm - nice landscape and the subtle colours worked well but I particularly like your bamboo, very effective, the splatter of colour adds movement :)

@ianpspurs - Thanks for the recipe, looks interesting, I haven't tried inulin. Sadly our local Tesco no longer stock ChocoLogic :(

@gennepher - hugs for the technology issues :)
looks like Popeye was comfy and relaxed under there, all stretched out :D

@Muddy Cyclist = Lovely painting, I like how you've carried the colour range forward through the picture tying it together and contrasting with the more muted sky, as I often do I really like your foreground foliage :joyful:

Art bit -

thought I'd have a go at these :)

Thank you @geefull - I am well embedded now into splattergate. Well done the medics for a smooth jab fest, good prior planning. Lovely dandelions and nice touch with that single seed.

Thank you @ianpspurs
But I would venture to suggest that even before that date change was needed.

(I've done something wrong with the above initial quote!!!!!)

Good morning everyone from a mixed bag of a morning in the dark and dangerous north

The late o’clock outpouring of the wonder wheel splurged out a 5.8 this am - serves me right for tarrying.

Mrs Miggins has already left the house - a socially distanced walk with the eldest grandchildren has been arranged.
Diwali must be a bit strange this year. Talking to friends in London, they seem to be holding mass zoom eating fests but it won’t be the same. Just hope that everyone will be doing their bit re staying at home. Saal Mubarak, Happy New Year.
What did I do yesterday art wise - a bit of bamboo on regular unsized rice paper and a splodge tree on some yellow rice paper that seems awfully fragile, especially when very wet.
Hope everyone has a pleasant Sunday, koffy is on.

A 4.7 this morning and the rain is beating down.

Didn't go to bed until 2 am but have slept through until 6 so that's an improvement (I think). I'm going to take a look at Procreates animation feature today, it's a Disney style frame by frame affair but it may be useful with a bit of patience :)

Enjoy the day
Ditto the rain here too

I seem to be on a yo yo ( scale ) of 7's and 8's with a 7.3 this morning
