What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

My first attempt at abstract watercolour Autumn landscape, I have no idea what I am doing just wet and colour and a lot of spraying, don't know where it will go from here. Watercolour A4 so far 15 minutes. Will finish Monday have to cook dinner as Mrs MC had a scary dizzy spell ended up on the floor we hope its Vertigo but the last time this happened was 8 years ago, checked Temp, BP and BG all seemed OK although BG was 8.9 which seemed high for a non Diabetic.

Abstract looking good as it is - maybe some splattering wearing a blindfold?
Hope that the dizzy spell was just a glitch for Mrs MC and does not repeat.

good evening all :)

was 4.6 this morning

my arm muscle is a bit tender after the jab yesterday, but neither mr gee nor his mum seem to have any after effects so that's good :)

dinner at mum's today then home again for the evening :)
Tried feeding Katy some of the chicken left over from dinner and she wouldn't look at it, bit worrying until I realised it was because she was very suspicious of the sticking plaster on my finger :hilarious:

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@Alien Aspie - that's a nicely done bit of animation especially for a first shot at it with that app. :)

@gennepher - hope the tech. is responding better today. Popeye looks large and in charge today :D

@dunelm - some lovely especially delicate bamboo for today and I like the building just peeping out from the foliage, adds a nice sense of scale to your landscape :)

@JohnEGreen - nice set of photos, very autumnal. Hope your son Adrian continues well :)

@Muddy Cyclist - an interesting start to your new picture, look forward to seeing it's progression.
Hope mrs MC soon feels better and has no further ill effects :)

art bit - thank you all for your kind comments on my art you're so supportive to us :joyful:

I didn't do any art yesterday :sorry:, the sticking plaster made controlling the brush a little awkward, I shall have to try to do two now to catch up ;)

Need to get the scanner out to scan the next batch of art soon too ;)

this was a darkish day with light on the far hills

Thank you @geefull for your kind comments.
Cats and sticking plasters - who knew!
Another very pleasing and calming scene from you today - nice touch with the light breaking through onto the far hills.

Good morning everyone on a day of promised bright spells here in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of bavette with roasted cauliflower came in at 4.9 this am

Boris is now conducting illicit experiments on himself - nul hypothesis - “you can’t get it again Bob”. Lewis the tax avoider dancing on ice in Turkey. Poor old Des has run his race, I’m a celebrity - added to the growing list of things not to watch. Breaking news - people with ginger hair - good grief - send them to the space station.

Hope everyone manages to have a decent Monday. Now heading for the koffy pot.

Fairly steady and I would say with just 13 hours of this sensor left it has been a decent one. Makes a change and I think now because of the lengthy operation to just be able to use one... I will stick to arms!

With the last tournament of the year underway and already having to wait last night until 10pm for a press conference, the nights are going to be late, so should have time to do all the adhesive removal and shenanigans to get a new one on.

Lodger is up and this is my first week of new training plan so up to do physio rehab session first and then grapple with my treadmill.

Laters gators...

Welcome to Monday. I forgot that I need to resume taking my phone to bed so I can scan for an fbg but the worm suggests it was somewhere around mid 4s at 4.45. No likey wakey wakey then or Billy Cotton generally. More data is needed but the combination of sleep scores, resting pulse and average bg levels suggest my body functions far better in spring and summer than autumn/winter. Blood work has always been done around June and December 20th and is marginally better in June. Ye Olde Range Rover (2004) needs work to pass an MOT but much as I wish it were legal to marry a car there is a budget so the first stage of diagnosis begins today. Whatever your day holds take the very best care and I hope to see you all (well, not see ) tomorrow.

4.7 this weird morning and 1.6 ketones. I understand the ketone drop as I had a premade chicken curry that was rather sweet so probably too much sugar.

Here's what I don't get. The scales tell me I have gained 2kg literally overnight, they could be wrong and I checked I wasn't still holding my fleece teddy hot water bottle when I climbed on the scales. Weirder still, my jeans, which are baggy around the legs, are skin tight and no, I did not put both legs down one side.

I checked my bp (118/80), pulse 80, SpO2 96% so all I can think of is an allergic reaction. I have to walk up to the village so I may as well ask the chemist.

Maybe I dropped into a different reality?

Enjoy the day ;)

The weight fluctuation is something I notice as I weigh every day. One thing that seems to happen is weight change seems to have a day's lag. Fluid retention plays a massive part. Many of us on LC have lost water weight as much as anything else according to the gurus.

I understand the reasoning on LC and water with the 2 molecules of water to 1 of fat but my jeans have always been baggy on the legs so it's a bit freaky. I'm sure I haven't been doing squats in my sleep :)

(I do have more than one pair of jeans btw):bag:

Good readings - have you invaded another body? 2kg - bit odd, water retention? But why? - hope chemist can throw some light upon it.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who are of a gentle disposition, whatever that means.

Again a surprising reading this morning, 6.7, I was expecting well into the 7's I know what I ate last night.

Well fellow posters and painters, if you woke up then it's a good day irrespective of the weather.
Today could be a day of finishing the kitchen closing boards, but things might change.
Being in lockdown and having been informed that I should stay home, I noticed that me and me's had started swearing at motorcyclists as they ride, some noisily past my house, pure jealousy on me and me's part.

Whatever your day holds make the most of it, if you are lucky you might be able obtain enough sprouts to make sprout puree. Me and me's won't, not allowed to go to the shops. Just lucky I guess.

Hugs for your sticking plaster finger @geefull

Tech is still playing up, and it's now the internet too... :(

Another beautiful serene landscape. Wonderful.

My weight can fluctuate like that. And my my legs can get like that. I have stopped weighing myself daily, because overall, over a number of readings I had not gained weight. Also, but I haven't tested this properly, my legs can get tight with water retention, and it seems to be when I have had processed food or wheat or ready prepared stuff, and there's probably something else in this mix as well. Now, that I have no processed stuff (yes apart from that piece of Xmas cake yesterday!) or wheat etc I don't have any water retention.

But I think you need to ask and find out.
