What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone from a day of unknowns in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel of spiced meatballs came in at 4.7 this am

It’s international bin day today and, as @Alien Aspie has said, the penultimate garden waste collection - Mrs Miggins has been frantically collecting leaves and stuffing them in the bin - only to turn round to yet another pile of leaves - good exercise though and entertaining to watch.

It’s also youngest grandchild's first birthday so we will be going to see her this morning. Other visitors will be going throughout the day but will have to stay outside the house and wave through the window - strange days.

Just one picture today - on rice paper. Have a great day, remember that petrol and diesel cars will be banned from sale in 2030. Koffy time.

This is beautiful @dunelm
I like the shades of sepia.

Poppies drifting in the wind, I have just been watching the Oak leaves falling in abundance in the stormy wind. In a wild flower meadow over the fields by us there are still many poppies flowering, quite a sight.

Well done with an unknown software product.
Thank you for the compliment @Muddy Cyclist
:)

As promised a more abstract watercolour from me, not finished, not sure where it's going, I had Emerald Greens and Deep Purples in mind after watching the sun through our Holly Hedge, but now I'm not sure. Yes, I did use some cling film. Will finish Thursday if I get inspired but at the moment a complete blank.

A4 about 5 minutes painting, one minute scrunching cling film.....

I think we need sun bursts @Muddy Cyclist
I have some washing on just now...yes at 4am...in anticipation of your 'promised' sunburst for today....

Okay...I think I have caught up....

Fbg 6.7
Yes going back down again...

I'll be back later today when I have thought of a painting...but I have drunk my coffee, and need to play at tidying up the bungalow...another coffee first....

Morning all
6.3 ↗️

I have been scanning both the phone and the reader for this sensor. When I realised the reader was so far behind in updates I was using my phone for the last one and have been fascinated by the difference and it might be interesting to see which one is the closest to my bloods result when I get it done at the end of the month.

I need to scuttle over to the other side of the bed in a minute, grab the laptop and do some work.

Today’s work out is the tougher of the rehab sessions, plus resistance band/weights. So far so good - all limbs still attached and functioning! Knees no more clicky or grumbly than normal ...

Good Morning and a very high 7.2 for me today.

Tesco shopping dash and then the day is all mine. Brown Bin for Green Stuff here today and many more to come. Outside is a tad wet and blustery so all its contents may be reclaimed by our garden if Bin men don't arrive soon.

May time lull you along peacefully today. Keep safe.

Dark but quiet morning in the north lands.
It is supposed to be cold today but only transiently more like the old normal but only briefly.

Measured bg this am at 0700 was 6.00 dead, which is where it is normally.

Farmer friend (his farm is on the top of the hill in my picture and owns all the land down to the river below with exception of adjacent field) brought me a very nice walking pole he had crafted out of wood yesterday.
He has quite a lot of wildlife habitat on his land along a disused railway and adjacent wet land with new ponds he created. We have a common interest in birds and butterflies.

Hope you all have a good day and stay safe.
D.

A very odd jump in FBG this morning to 6.1, considering I have been well into ketosis for two weeks I'm not sure where the liver found that from. It was 4.3 before retiring for the night.

Maybe it's a glitch in the matrix :wideyed:

A rather surprising 4.4 this morning.

We have to take Archie for an emergency vet appointment this morning. He has had a lump on one of his pads for over a year which hasn't grown but yesterday it suddenly started weeping.

Vet says don't feed him before the appointment. So we couldn't eat breakfast as it would be so unfair for him to watch us eating. We are a bit worried about it as the vet has said before that it is a tricky place to operate on - especially as he is an older dog.

That darn liver - always busy with jobs, DIY and taking on too many projects - probably got overwhelmed and did a data dump.

Not good - hope it’s not serious for Archie

Good morning everyone on a spiffing morning here (for now at least) in the dark and dangerous north.

The wonder wheel of roast cod with a frisson of garnish came in at 5.1 this am

Youngest granddaughter’s birthday came and went - as predicted, most interest in tearing gift wrappings and then the entertainment watching mum and dad clucking about trying to prevent her shoving it into her mouth.

Glad to read that @Muddy Cyclist is not contagious, on one level anyway, and can now get back to charging around Cannock Chase.

Another play with back washing this morning, on rice paper. Have a wonderful Thursday if you can, this mornings fancy word is Immunosenescence, koffy time here.

Good morning. Congratulations @Muddy Cyclist on the negative test. Hugs for @Alien Aspie for the higher fbg, Archie for the weeping paw. @JohnEGreen I will certainly pray for you and Brother Ade. My fbg @ 4.02 was 5.1 - then it began. It appears Julie, myself and one of the dogs have caught whatever our son and baby Rosa had. I'm the least affected but so far only water and a spectacular 6.9 just now. Black bin out, dogs fed and watered so all my chores done. Take care.

My digital painting for today...

Thought I would give ZenBrush3 a second go.
I have a lot of quibbles with this app. One being that it won't let me do a landscape mode painting, whereas ZenBrush2 does allow me to do this.
So, I am stuck in portrait mode in ZenBrush3...

I have a hate/love relationship with this app ZenBrush3, in almost equal measures...

Anyway, here it is...
