What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning. Congratulations @Muddy Cyclist on the negative test. Hugs for @Alien Aspie for the higher fbg, Archie for the weeping paw. @JohnEGreen I will certainly pray for you and Brother Ade. My fbg @ 4.02 was 5.1 - then it began. It appears Julie, myself and one of the dogs have caught whatever our son and baby Rosa had. I'm the least affected but so far only water and a spectacular 6.9 just now. Black bin out, dogs fed and watered so all my chores done. Take care.
Thanks for congrats, hugs for the nasties being passed on to dog, Julie and yourself, in that order, well that would be the order of priority in our house. :)

My digital painting for today...

Thought I would give ZenBrush3 a second go.
I have a lot of quibbles with this app. One being that it won't let me do a landscape mode painting, whereas ZenBrush2 does allow me to do this.
So, I am stuck in portrait mode in ZenBrush3...

I have a hate/love relationship with this app ZenBrush3, in almost equal measures...

Anyway, here it is...

Like the mood and the mystical world you have created where the sun sets between the layers of distant hills, magical especially when fighting with technology.

A rather surprising 4.4 this morning.

We have to take Archie for an emergency vet appointment this morning. He has had a lump on one of his pads for over a year which hasn't grown but yesterday it suddenly started weeping.

Vet says don't feed him before the appointment. So we couldn't eat breakfast as it would be so unfair for him to watch us eating. We are a bit worried about it as the vet has said before that it is a tricky place to operate on - especially as he is an older dog.
Hope all is well with Archie @Krystyna23040

I am fuming :mad::banghead:

Her ladyship asked me to drop her off, on the way tells me her daughter and SiL tested positive and were at her house 2 days ago. When I pointed out she shouldn't be out she just said: "I am not the sort that gets these things"!!!!:banghead:

She won't even consider that she could be spreading it even if she is atypical. There's no-one for me to talk to atm so I apologise for putting it on here. I'm going to have to get another test, I've been so **** careful since March

No need to apologise.

This I don't care attitude is the reason why people in the extremely vulnerable category are told to stay at home.
I hope your test comes back negative.

Cheers Alf, I am literally shaking with rage. My gp was understanding but because B'ham is so high up the hit list I have to wait for symptoms to appear before I can have another test.

Don’t apologise - this is not good - have just PM’d you about how to get a test quickly.

I think of the liver as a flywheel that stores and releases blood glucose. And as A.A. I think said, you have to put it in to get it out.
D.
I believe that the medics have so far discovered over 500 functions that the liver dips it’s sticky paws into - a very busy bee so no wonder we get caught out just at at time when we think that we have it nailed.

We were up the Whinlatter pass this am looking across Thornthwaite forest, Bassenthwaite Lake and Skiddaw.
A cloud had come in from the sea for couple hours so it was not as bright as early and later. We were surprised by the number of relative youngsters who had come into Lakes for walking and biking.
A lot of cars were parked up. Judging by the time some were arriving they may have come some distance. In the vastness they would lose each other and never come close.

I got some pics I'll post later. It was perishing cold for old bones.:)

Blinking heck @Alien Aspie
She is so inconsiderate...
You don't have to apologise for putting it here. We are all here to listen/empathise with others' frustrations especially to stupidity like this over Covid issues.
Hugs for you
