What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

:woot: for the fbg and you too have a good weekend. I'm pleased you found your way here.
Me too - this forum seems to be my "local" atm as there is not aloty socialising happening on the outside world which I really miss as I am very much a people person and do like a good blether/chat. I am still missing my old colleagues/friends from the job I lost last year and day to day banter because of all this covid mularkey, I still chat to people but it is not the same - I don't think it is going to be for a while yet but then things can quickly change - I hope ... onwards and upwards as they say ...

Some nice investigative journalism there. @gennepher .

Be a good bet this is rolling out to other areas before long ..

My surgery has about 6/8 gps rarely see the same one twice

And it's recently hooked me up with its latest e-system that includes e-consult.

So maybe I'm not too far behind you

Deffo worth knowing more about it, while I guess we still can affect how far it rolls out.

Sounds like your Liverpool plan has a lot going for it .

I imagine it is rolling out to other places @jjraak
But if it is used as a back up for the rest of the GP's already in your surgery and for people who like to do things online, then that is good. That is what it was intended for.

I think you do need to keep a close eye on the whole thing though. Governments have a way of hijacking something created for the good of all, and repurposing for their own ends.

I like my Liverpool plan :)

I don't think people realise it takes ten years to train a GP and successive governments have used overseas doctors to make up the shortfall and have underfunded training.

I am afraid the chickens are coming home to roost but sadly patients suffer.
Our local hospital seems to run on nurse led departments, its not right.

I have no idea about these posts. Can we pivot to The War of Jenkins' ear or how to play The Doosra?

Nothing rational or irrational about the complexity or as-surd ity of these posts it's all just numbers real or imaginary, i is a necessary fiddle factor, which for engineers either mechanical or electrical is known as j and believe it or not surds are very useful when simplifying hand calculations.
Now me and me's really must go and polish our sliderule.

Ah. This explains things. Sort of like this. Simple now I know that. Thanks Alf. Is sldierule a euphemism in Berks?

Sorry to disillusion you, but machine learning is a derivative, we were twittering on about names given to core functions/ operatives. I was just on a koffy break and thought I would have a quick look at this thread, must "go now" or I could be working " nights " in white woodwork, bet you thought I was going to say satin, given my old occupation :-) .

Oh, you were a derivative trader. You lot have so much to answer for. All those sub prime numbers and lives of Pi.

This is the closest I get to manipulating numbers, dad was a design engineer and used these tools, I just put them in a frame look at them and remember musch easier than useing them, actually I have no idea how to use them. :)

I gave friend an oak tree painting I had done for Christmas. Friend now wants me to do two more to match so have made a start...Sweet Chestnut, winter coat.

A4 watercolour will finish Sunday....

Very, very nice. A great memento to your dad, the sliderule looks well used and the micrometer is probably a collectors item in these days of digital vernier calipers.
