What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, if you don't fit into either of those categories please feel free to cast off and sail to other posts.

Now not good news, a 4.5 this morning so me and me's now have on back order a super computer with bright shinny tokens, but for now will have to rely on the old steam driven slide rule and tea bag reading with a little guesstimate added into this insulin dosage equation. This if got wrong will result in a lunchtime reading of 3.5 to 4.5 which unfortunately is bad news for me and me's. Sympathy not required, just additional computing power.

Well fellow posters, painters and gamers will you be braving the fresh freezing air? Remember as a child finding frozen puddles and seeing how far you could slide, must sign out now, clothes to put on, medication to ingest and puddles to find, Mrs J will not be amused.
I won't give you a hug as you requested, but it is instinctive to want to award the hug emojie.
I am so glad I do not have to take insulin, it would drive me demented @alf_Josiah
Some additional computing power for you...

Why thank you on two counts
1 for the additional computing power.
2 I have no idea what the 2nd count is.
Lastly 3 demented is not a bad place to be, provided you have ample supplies of a warped sense of humour and don't care what people think.
Remember say something nice to somebody every day it will do 1 of 4 things.....
Driver them crazy or make them smile, now I must depart and look at my motorbike longingly.
Once again stay safe, stay well, stay warm and bulk buy " stays ".

Perfect opportunity to try one of these . Today's choice is this one . No idea what people feel is a reasonable price to pay for a ready meal but it seems ok to me - cheaper than a takeaway I imagine. May be of interest to some especially those who work shifts? I intend to bulk it out with some salad and Skinny bread - 2 slices = approx 75 gms.

Hi Krystyna,
I got psyllium off Amazon recently from Bulk Powers and it works on me ok, but I have one of the enclosed scoops full per day at breakfast.
regards
Derek
Thank you. Will order some today. Bulk powders do some good stuff.

I didn't realise you could get low carb ready meals - are they delivered frozen and do you simply just put it in the oven - how long does it take to cook?

Yes, they are delivered frozen. The one I'm having today 20 minutes in an oven. We bought them to try as an idea for when life opens up and we go to Southampton. Minimum order so I bought a bundle, some flour - already made bred and Yorkshire, would have made pancakes if Julie was here.

Fab - is there any you can put in the microwave?

Mrs MC and I set off from home on a winters day walk a tad cool but we managed a brisk 10 miles. Bitter and the first time I have seen the Mill Race along Rising Brook frozen, Sunday promises a big thaw...

A day to nourish the soul so much beauty.

I don't know yet until I trawl through the freezers. I'll let you know when I find out where Julie put them. Hold on, click on the first link with the range then on cooking. This one can be microwaved
You are so funny - trawl through the freezer - where Julie put them - reminds me of when my oldest son was away from home at Uni in France - he did everything for himself for a year and he was hardly back through the front door when he asked me where's the washing basket and yes ... I have been back doing his washing ever since - my husband says he should be doing his own at 22 but it would only be a matter of time before he didn't close the washing machine door properly and flood my kitchen so it is easier in the long run for me just to do it for him ...

A feast in a box - looks as though you are quite enjoying yourself. I shall be making Korean spiced pork with leeks, spring onions and courgettes to celebrate Chinese New Year. Not too much of that Gochujang though- it blows my taste buds but does clean out my sinuses.

Hmm. I frequently brought a half term's shirts, socks and underwear home for my mum when I started teaching, I would just buy a new lot until I had at least a half term's worth. Washed my own cricket kit but club washed most rugby kit. 80 shirts was the top number.

gave a bug in the end but a funny was on my fingertips too.

like the humorous approach ..but certainly agree, that with insulin to take the calculations must be a nuisance.

starting to think exercise is a bit more important for me, then i thought.

Another bond range for me..

O07.3 to be exact...unless SMERSH has got it in for me personally, only exercise explains it.

Can't fast,... nope,... can't ..shan't ..,won't.

No can do...leaves me feeling awful .
So onward with the LCHF way.

Yes, I ate what I was given While convalescing,
But surely 3 weeks later that would have disapaited...?

Which just leaves meds...dropped them right off the odd painkiller, when required.

So is it exercise....

must get the yoga bands out and begin using until I can train properly, once more.

Stay well all
Cold but sunny in the Capital

Not sure how this will post.
Could someone let me know .cheers

Wow, awhile since I have seen frozen water like that...
Yup I saw the pic!

I'm afraid my daily painting looks like a three day event, sorry. Bits arrived for my conversion of old working Victorian Oil Lamp to electricity withou damaging the Oil Lamp, well that's the idea, we shall see, so Painting stopped for the day.

A3 watercolour, I will finish Sunday.... it's another Sweet Chestnut in winter coat, lots to do before it's finished.

A fly in the ointment of my idyllic week. Nespresso has stopped working until it is descaled, No idea where Julie puts the descaler or the beans for the bean to cup gizmo. Problem solved. We had a spare just in case :angelic:
I have a spare Nespresso machine also - just in my my main one breaks down.
