What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

good evening all :)

art bit - thank you all for your support in my artistic doldrums, I shall try to do something creative every day :)

This landscape is based on an image by a painter called Alexander Rudakov (I think ;), my reading of cyrillic is sketchy :hilarious: ) I liked the different palette to my usual watercolour.

Lovely painting. I do love the different palette.

good evening all :)

4.8 today

much milder today and the snow here is melting fast. We went out for a village walk earlier and there are still shoulder high drifts of blown snow on the edge of the road above the village, fortunately the road is clear because the farmer came out to play with his tractor and plough :D

Hope your day is treating you kindly :)

@ianpspurs - I know your day is treating you kindly ;) Welcome Zoe, she's lovely, and congratulations to you all on her safe arrival :joyful:

@gennepher - Hello there Popeye! :D an interesting painting today @gennepher , I do like the way your snow appears to sparkle and the fine foliage in the foreground :)

@dunelm - I like the texture the yellow rice paper has and that's a fine expansive landscape you've created today, that line of mountains in the background gives great depth, I like it :joyful: Careful with those cartwheels ;)

@Muddy Cyclist - hope your Tesco run is easy and productive and the music practice goes on apace :)
Glad that Moet seems to be improving now :)

But the time is arbitrary since I haven't been to bed yet.

Popeye came running up to me yesterday, leapt on the couch (where I was sitting), straight on to my legs and snuggled under the blanket, and went straight to sleep. Very unusual, him going out like a light to sleep. This was 2pm in the afternoon. He didn't move position at all. Because of his age (nearly 29 years old), I was coming to the conclusion that this might be the beginning of the end. So I stayed on the couch with him.On the dot of midnight (after Popeye being solidly asleep for 10 hours), he came to, his head came up and looked at me. I had been playing him some healing binaural music. He has now been to the cat tray, and has also drunk water. Then he went to sleep again, but not the 'dead' sleep he looked in before. It's now nearly 5am, and he has been in his 'normal' fidgety sleep, moving his head and turning round and round in his sleeping place besides me on the couch in the front room. And he has eaten his wet cat food, and some biscuits.

Was I making a 'fuss' over 'nothing'?

I thought maybe I had 'lost' him earlier with him being in such a deep sleep. But it looks like I have him a wee bit longer...will he make his 29th birthday in May?

I will see what he is like in the daylight, but he looks okay now.

Here is the painting I have been doing while watching over him...
In Procreate. It is a bit rough. The sky need refining a bit, but I don't have the dexterity to do that now.
It was the sun, yesterday, shining through some very old coniferous trees in the massive gardens of some houses which have just been demolished.

A very good Shrove Tuesday to you all. BCP morning worship contains a daily version of shriving and this: It is indeed right and salutary that we should at all times and in all places offer thanks. For so many things in my life, particularly baby Zoe yesterday, I gladly do so. It is also important that I don't dissemble and cloak the truth. The Swipey fbg of 5.2 and numbers on the scales aren't welcome. LC is making me feel pants despite carefully staying at keto levels via the only LC foods I will tolerate. The outcomes are going away from what I want and have mostly seen for 5+ years. Remarkable echoes of the children of Israel in the wilderness (out of "slavery" to carbs/low fat into this??? Salutary warning there about how to react/trust) @gennepher so happy for you that Popeye is still with you. Great artwork and amazing love story there. Welcome @powerley . Take care everyone.

What a worrying night for you, Popeye is a magnificent age for his kind and in good loving hands.

A lovely sunrise painting from you today, good strong light and you have captured the way it seems to make tree sound appear ghostly and bend their shapes.

Good Morning and a high 6.3 for me today and yes I know why. Tempted by a piece of Mrs MC uoside down apple cake she had defrosted, shouldn't have, Mrs MC warned me not to, Spirit willing flesh was weak and the cake and custard, whoops sorry didn't I mention custard? Were delicious. :)

Muddy Cycle ride for me as sun is promised and then the day is mine.

Keep safe be bold.

Somehow I can't find evidence that Moses listened to Take That or was ever a member here. Nonetheless, I'm going with the idea that this was his sentiment surveying the doom and gloom merchants. It also gives me the kick up/in the places I need just now. Cheesey, lowbrow but spot on. Better versions are available but this has lyrics with it, innit. @Muddy Cyclist take your pleasure - within reason - while you can. No mention of Bill Withers blasting out from Sinai either.

Thank you @geefull for your comments - I shall be revisiting this style again.
A superb painting from you today - beautifully illustrating the season with great balance, a fabulous sun and great colours.

Music recordings took up most of my day but not successfully, need to redo some of them. Did manage to get a walk in and saw some tall trees against a bright but rainy sky, reminded me of Tuscany so started a painting reflecting the mood and memory but very much UK. Will finish Tuesday.

A4 watercolour.....

Good rendering of trees, hope they survive the demolition.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny morning in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of a one pot wonder came in at 4.8 this am

Pancake day - Yippee! Don’t forget to leave a pancake out for pancake claus and to decorate your pancake tree. I have a recipe involving ricotta and coconut milk to try - they will be more American style rather than crepes.

Art today - attempted a raven landing on a wall but the wall was more suited to humpty dumpty - nevermore! A sort of rescue, will have to do it again for homework.
Hope that everyone has a tip top Tuesday. I will now have koffy.

Does your pancake recipe stick to ceilings when flipped or do they peel off and fall back into the pan?

Nice action painting with a feather like touch from you today, well rescued.
