What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

For those interested. A week back I mentioned the Quire was recording a Glee which we had never sung before so a bit of an experiment as all had to learn, sing and record remotely withthe hopeit would work out. Glee clubs were very popular in Georgian and early Victorian times...

Pleased with the result all things considered, Me Bass and Mrs MC Soprano.

Very pleasing. Thank you for sharing

The most terrible news from Taiwan. Wan, aka Hamish emailed me and let me know, very sadly, his closest friend and best man at his wedding has succumbed to injuries sustained in the dreadful train crash there last week. He only found out he was on the express late yesterday.

I've passed on deepest condolences and he says hello to everyone here.

Life is so very fragile...
Very sad, we cannot know when it’s our time

Good Morning and 6.8 for me today. Lamb curry last night again no rice low carbs all day 5.4 after meal, 5.2 before bed, took it a 5 am and it was 6 took it again now just before breakfast and 6.8. :banghead:

Bitter North West wind here today, so going to start project of shelving inside shed.

Keep safe and hold on to your hats.

Good morning everyone on a noisy windy start here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of chicken curry came in at 5.4 this am

Lovely morning with Mrs Miggins - down the beach as much as we could but high tide was just on the turn when we arrived. Watched the lifeboat crew doing Sunday drills and then bacon butties (less the bun) and koffy until the tide was out far enough for us to walk home along the beach.
Afternoon of sawing, drilling and screwing - and in that order as well. Looks as though the pair of coaltits have withdrawn their offer on the bird box. They may have found something else with a better view, you never know.

A quick sketch today on a lake scene but got fed up with it and stopped. Hope that your day today is a fabulous one, we get to see our youngest son who we haven’t seen in the flesh since September. Koffy time.

It's a windy, cold, grey Bath morning after a lush sunny day yesterday. Howling over the city.

Went for a walk with Arthur and the wind was gusting on Pulteney Bridge so much my baseball cap has been lost forever

FBG this morning is 5.6 mmol which is a massively pleasant surprise; tomorrow being the start of another travel day in the afternoon, I suspect it'll be all over the place, especially Wednesday getting up at 4am to check-in for my flights to Paris and San Francisco at Heathrow.

Today, from 3, just a couple of conference calls and trip prep; will do my self assessment for my work performance review and the rest of the day will involve a trip to M and S on electric/pedal power. MrsBRS was on-call this morning and has gone in to work after an urgent thing came up but will be back at 10, so I'm on poached eggs duty, with spinach and anything else I can find. Nutmeg on spinach I'm instructed.

Apart from that and Gerald the cat mousing in the garden, it's Monday morning in the house of chaos.

Daughter off to Ascension Islands Wednesday, then Falklands and all the way back. Wednesday next week is her return- two days before me. A family on the move.

Have a fab Monday

The T2D mystery I can never fathom.. dawn phenomenon for me is volatile...

Good morning all. Oh, the times they are a changin. Free lateral flow tests and bitterly cold wind are but one indicator thereof. To business. Fbg of 5.1 - in 2015, when I started- that would have been pleasing. Also, the idea that I could have a diet with plenty of red meat, red wine, cheese and eggs made it seem like a doddle. Those are "an issue" now. My list of reasons why lc is not for some wasn't meant as a condemnation of lc, far from it. Effectiveness such as @Krystyna23040, @geefull and others shows what can be done. My own journey teaches me never to underestimate how much effort this takes and how plain unpleasant it can be. We paint a far too rosey picture of lc at times and the reality soon discourages many. Bacon and cream are not for all. I happen to be stubborn and also find daily weighing more motivating than monitoring bg (too random). The scales have been the only comparable metric at home and at The Medics. Peace be with you all.

Strange how getting fed up with what we create can suddenly happen, still a good scene though, maybe go back to it in a different mood.

Sorry Coaltits didn't want to move in to your vacant property. We have Greattits that seem to have finally decided to move in to one of ours although the other is still vacant.

Have a great day with youngest son, family days are days to be treasured and remembered.

Long broadcast but Boat Race provoked much thought in me and in this house. I drove that road to work for years and yes, it is cold and bleak. Eye popping physiques and resting pulses in all four crews. I would love to know how many watts they were producing and their % fat in diet . Pretty sure it wouldn't be keto level - my guess is high % lean protein. The other sliding doors moment was both Julie and I turned to each other and said Ely! See out MILs time then hunt for a bungalow there, sounds harsh but honest. We stay near 2 children - 1 desperate to go back there, I can have a Cambs address again and return to The Fens.:angelic: Starbucks, Waitrose, A10 to Cambridge, Farmers Markets, Cathedral :woot: Back in the game eh Micky?
Edit: 2 golf courses, driving range, Aldi, Sainsburys, Tesco, new leisure complex - did I mention in Cambs?

I wonder if your very helpful liver has suddenly decided that as you are so active you need a bit more glucose in the morning than it has been releasing up to now. Sometimes the liver can just be a bit too helpful.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

A 7.0 this morning fuelled by a slow cooked, then finished off on the bbq 1/2 shoulder of lamb with roast mediterranean vegetables.

Have a great day and remember the stay's adding in stay warm also.

@Krystyna23040 and anyone else interested here is what I make the P:E profile of 100 gms M and S Kefir - I think. You may find yours different. I've never tried kefir but will try this in a shake with 60 gms whey protein isolate, water and some raspberries. If all goes well I'm way more comfortable with that than red meat. I make that around 70 gms protein which I doubt I would ever get any other way.
Edit: Kefir quark actually
