Thank you for sharing the process for this delightful piece of art. Good use of resist on those trees. Yes, I do miss @geefull and @Muddy Cyclist also and hope that they are both well.Fbg 6.5
Two pictures today.
The first is my painting set up in my comfy bed with the electric blanket on!
You can also see the beginnings of my painting, which is the sprayed water on top of which I used the old Pentel pen on. This dried overnight. And in the morning this is how I set it up.
I have a coffee and a tea beside me.
And the second picture is the watercolour work using that unusual compact palette of colours which opens up. The larger white tree trunks were created by using wax resist before I applied anything to the paper, in this case I used a nightlight!
I used a postcard I received for inspiration.
Time for breakfast and another cuppa...

Brilliant artwork @dunelmGood morning everyone, did anyone see the northern lights last night - not me through all that rain.
The wonder wheel of meatballs and then some of my FibreFlour bread, toasted came in at 5.6 this am
Zipped up to the place where we had our reunion to hand over a contribution to their charity work out of the funds raised during said reunion. Forgot that it was bingo morning but Mrs Miggins did take advantage of the free sausage buns and tea. PPG meeting in the afternoon - our first face to face meeting since lockdown - all wearing masks but it went fine. One thing that the practice manager reported upon was medical team hours. We have 6 GP’s. 1 locum, 1 registrar and 4 specialist practice nurses. They get in to work at 0745 and most of the GP’s finish at about 10pm having seen (face to face or video call) up to 60 patients. Not good. They are also responsible for doctors rounds at our designated care home as well as all the learning difficulty care homes in the town.
Art bit - Happy Diwali! - lock your monitor in a dark place and stuff yourselves with gulab jamun, sweet fried dumplings - diabetes on a plate! Must have some koffy.

Thank you @gennepher and Boots is spot on for a flue jab. There may also be pharmacists nearby who have signed up for phase 3 and able to give booster jabs.Brilliant artwork @dunelm
You most definitely have a responsible surgery.
Unlike ours in Wales who has had no GP's since 2019.
The latest bulletin told us to go to A&E some considerable distance away for normal stuff you would see a doctor for.
I was wondering what to do about flu jab, as no information about that.
But I noticed yesterday, as I drove past, there was a sign outside Boots saying free NHS flu jabs.
I will pop in there...

I miss @geefull and @Muddy Cyclist
No idea about the two ladies - both of whom I miss. Muddy is fine, still cycling, making music and painting. I'll pass on everyone's best wishes. He does want to return here and I wonder if simply sharing his art or music may be a way forward. What do you think Derek? I have in the past used Gee's personal email but feel she needs space and time.

Yes, I agree with @gennepher that you will need to go with your gut feeling. No idea about the two ladies - both of whom I miss. Muddy is fine, still cycling, making music and painting. I got my flu jag at Boots (paid £14.99 for it) as I decided I did not want the flu jag and the booster done at the same time as is what is happening at the moment in my areaBrilliant artwork @dunelm

I think that was wise. One of my clients fainted after having both jabs together. The hospital said they thought it was a reaction to having both jabs together. She really hurt her head when she collapsed but is ok now.I got my flu jag at Boots (paid £14.99 for it) as I decided I did not want the flu jag and the booster done at the same time as is what is happening at the moment in my area
OMG that's awful - I just wanted them done seperately as I have been unwell the next day after having the first two vaccines and didn't want double the load at the one time just in case ... so will be pleasantly surprised if I feel ok after the booster.
