Your chilli sounds good,
I average 150g carbs a day, I don't think that is too bad! NHS recommend 300g.Nothing compared to what you seem to whip up on a daily basis. I drool just reading your posts !!
Then I read your exercise routine and think **** that. I'll sacrifice some carbs instead![]()
To be fair I do cook most evenings, but porridge for breakfast, soup, salad then fruit for lunch doesn't take too much effort.Nothing compared to what you seem to whip up on a daily basis. I drool just reading your posts !!

I was keeping to 150g and this was keeping my post meal spikes well below 2 and under 7.8 mmol, unfortunately my pre meal and fasting blood sugar levels have been averaging around 6.5 mmol.
So I'm trying to drop to 80g of carbs to see if that gets me closer to the 5's. No change in the first few days though.
Where do. You get your inspiration for the mes from? Natural ability of a good source of books / online recipes?
FBG always takes the longest to come down. Give it time and you should be fine.
Seriously, how can you stop at 4.85k & not make it up to 5k, you’re doing great by the way7.1 this morning
----------
Breakfast: 0% Skyr Yog, blue berries, flaxseed and nut mix
----------
4.85km jog
----------
Lunch: Portabella Mushroom, Halloumi and Avacado Salad, 20g Green and Blacks Chocolate
---------
2k dog walk
---------
Dinner: Indian Take Away, 1/4 carton of Pilau Rice, 1/2 Carton Chicken Tikka Madras
----------
Evening Snack: 3x Ryvita and Cheese
I couldn't find a decent carb or fat estimate for the Madras, only calories so with those excluded the rest came in at:
Calories: 1295
Carbs: 71
Fat: 63
Sat Fat: 27
Annoyed FBG over 7, yes we had takeaway last night but pre meal reading was 5.8 and post was only 6.9.
I don't think the FBG levels are spikes, since they are consistent with my pre meal levels it just seems to be the level my body is running at for the time being.
In the week I've been testing I've only had 3 readings under 6 at any time 4.5, a 5.8 and a 5.9. That being said I've only had 2 over 8. It's only 5 months since diagnosis so I'm hoping it will gradually come down over the coming months.
