What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone from a late start here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of - “peas with eggs and mushrooms, surely not” came in at 5.2 this am but what the heck sausage was involved also.

Mrs Miggins is now further tested before boarding and is even as I type, enjoying all the facilities about the good ship lollipop. They are in steerage - I think that that is the best of cabins. I have now been outside and changed the timers on the Christmas lights (individual little stars and trees staked into the border). They now come on at 4pm and go off at 6 - she won’t notice because the curtains will be closed by then - save the batteries, protect the NHS, reduce waste, go out, don’t go out. Somehow, this new variant can tell if you are singing in a church, singing in a supermarket or slurping beer in a pub - it will soon become sentient and take the lead roll in a 1978 sci fi horror film. Rugby yesterday - oh dear Cardiff Blues. One of my nephews has just returned from Dubai - world rugby 7s - free of injuries - very unusual.

Art bit - water drifting - Hope everyone has a pleasant day, more koffy please.

Literally men against boys in that game. Way to go Tigers. As for the first part above we jumped the shark way back in series one. We are now far beyond any rational position. You ordered it you eat is all anyone can say anymore. It is the theatre of the absurd and all self-inflicted. Great fbg and thanks for the art. The lights sound tasteful - is that word "a signifier?" Actually, I don't care I'll own my opinions.

How very Nancy Mitford

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and all who overslept, then were trying and failing to catch up on bits and pieces, if only me and me’s were savvy enough to know how to attach the foot stomping song.
A straight 6.0 on that wayward meter this morning or as it is correctly spelt Morening.
The continuation of the flashing lights on my trellis saga.
I spoke to my neighbour and he kindly agreed to move his lights, as he said he wasn’t going to get his ladders out, but he kindly did, he took one set of lights down, repositioned another set, problem solved, no me and me’s were polite and unintimidating.
Much to do this afternoon, enjoy the rest of the day if allowed.
Be happy fellow posters, painters and gamers avoid the media.
Edited preductive tact, no no no predictive text……

Wonderful drifting water painting @dunelm

5.7 this morning. Was really pleased with that as carbs were 35g instead of my usual 20g. Had rather a lot of some lovely blueberries with Greek yogurt and cashews.

Yesterday was a good day, in spite of being so tired. Made a good start on admin. Everyone has been reminded that there are no classes this week.

Had a really good nights sleep and am back to feeling full of energy. Appointment with podiatrist this morning and then some work on lesson plans before relaxing and reading.

Not a complete creative this morning...

For the last maybe 40 plus years, I have always painted Christmas cards. Each one different. Usually about 200.
Last year I did not paint any to post, or give out. I lost heart.
Everyone asked where were my painted Christmas cards and was I all right...
I never replied...
I probably might not get many posted Christmas cards this year...
They might think I have popped my clogs...
But suddenly, rather late in the day, I decide I will paint Christmas cards this year. I need them done by Wednesday a.m. to post them.

So...

I have plenty more of these sketchbooks I have been using. I can easily get 50 foldable cards out of them, cutting them down the middle. I don't have my groups any more because of Covid stopping them, and they haven't started up yet, if ever they will. So that is at least 150 cards I do not need now.

So...

This photo of this page is the potential for two cards. Each one that I will do will begin with this random effect. There will be a bit of a fude black pen ink drawing on this, and probably snow, courtesy of white gouache and a toothbrush.

That is it.

Now I am going to plan the rest of my life. New ideas for next year.

Enjoy your day. It is pouring with rain here.

Roofer Tony came both mornings this w/e
However MrSlim wasn't happy with some of the work, so he took it out and reslated. Not sure what Tony thought about that!
Today is forecast to be dry, if not sunny, so the plan is for them put in the roof windows, while MrSlim and I go in search of a walk-in covid booster jab.

Great idea having two for one - great effects by the way. I have done but one card and will send it electronically to all and sundry. That way, I don’t need to remortgage my house to pay for stamps.

Coming along then and hopefully complete by the end of the week. All the best finding a booster jab.
