Fbg I am not taking it for a few days. I am experimenting with different foods and combinations, and I do not want to look at the short term readings, but at the Fbg's in maybe a week's time.

Creative today. A kaleidoscope in the potting shed taken with Laboscope app. It was pretty in pink when I took it and looked like a rose. I liked it yesterday. I did not like it this morning when I woke up.So I fartnarkled it in several apps, and this colour combination was agreeable to me this morning.

And Popeye says hi!

And Shadow emerged from the undergrowth just as I was coming in from the potting shed, and closing up gennepher's cat diner for the night. Fed her, and then she shot off into the shadowy evening...

Sigh, at this rate you are going to have to imagine my creative because sadly it will not upload....

Something up with this site maybe?

Tried different things for 20 mins here. Even tried taking a screenshot of it, but that wouldn't upload either...

I have wasted enough time on this.

Bye...I need a strong coffee.

I might try again later...

Got it!

Now I need a nap...

been up a couple of hours, but not eaten yet.
MrSlim drove me to the clinic yesterday, got more tests done. The scan will have to wait until next week. Far too much going on here atm.
The sleepies wore off in the afternoon and I started to be a more useful person again. Masses of washing done, sorted out the second guest bedroom and managed to get out in the garden for a short while.
Surprise phone call from an Aussie friend, she always cheers me up. Chatted for over an hour.
Have a friend coming this morning for a shopping trip, the list seems to be growing by the minute....

Morning/afternoon/evening all from a Spring like Forest Heath. How you doin? A dysfunctional 5.6 on Swipey here so yesterday was a fail for bg control but Sunday lunch (chicken not red meat) with 92 yo MIL and JKP was as good as Elsie gets for that kinda meal. Watched TV, a film and drank tea afterwards so Family Life 5 Elsie 0. @dunelm, such excitement and it is only Monday. Thanks for the art and Insurance information but I'm a Viva Aviva kinda guy. @Krystyna23040 I'm glad the walk exceeded expectations and enjoy Norwich. Aviva used to be Norwich Union and I spent much of my gap year working for them but by summer I gave it up for music and a free electric band. @gennepher hug for a frustrating and delaying start but your kaleidoscope is another triumph darling, a triumph. Gym for me today which sounds far more energetic than it actually is but I do love them there endorphins. Go Team D.
Edit: The linked poem is by Malcolm Guite. His selected poem for today is George Herbert's Prayer where the line originates - that poem is also linked. Beatles fans may like this

So you are still a paper map person @alf_Josiah ?
Me too.
Because I need to see the broader picture of the map, not just a blinkered one road bit at a time that the Sat Nav gives you.
On my left forearm in biro is written the A and B numbers etc of the roads, if it is a long journey.
It is all you need.
Except in Wales, where I have noticed (over the years & J had said it was a thing in Wales to confuse the English) some signposts are turned round on country roads...
In which case a compass proves useful...
I used to use post it notes, a pile of them stuck the the centre of the steering wheel, each removed and placed carefully in a pile for the return journey (if there was to be one) - and remembering that on return, left was right and so forth.

Enjoy your experiments into fuel consumption, might be cheaper than fuelling the car. Love the kaleidoscope - why does it remind me to an old TV programme, Tales Of The Unexpected.

good morning everyone on another interesting start the toe day here in the dark and dangerous north
I had to wait in yesterday for two deliveries - and then discovered that one of them was in fact being delivered today - long wait but I will be out so a job for Mrs Miggins. I am off to the Land Of The Prince Bishops in about half an hour in order to give a talk to a breakfast club in Durham City - free breakfast included and I get to meet up with a couple of old pals while pontificating on nothing much at all. Should I wear my St Cuthbert’s Society Tie or am I now old enough to wear a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me.
Art bit - cliffs and trees Have a marvellous day if you can. Quick koffy in order.

I route plan by map book but secondary backup with my phones mapping system, but I agree satnav sends you all around the globe not very efficient or fuel saving either. K

That is curious @dunelm to know other people's strategies...

Morning everyone from the Mysterious East. Another Swipey bit the dust after throwing out some alarming bg levels over the last 5 days before finally admitting it was a dud. Now I’ll never know what the Aldi soy bean spaghetti did to my bg. I do know that their house coffee beans are fine and “competitively” priced. Their Assam tea bags have gone up 16.47% (approximately) in about a month. Welcome to the future. A string of stunning, sleek horses were being exercised as we entered Newmarket. Poetry in motion such as that doesn’t come cheap but oil is a nice little earner. I also found today's kaleidoscope most agreeable @gennepher. I like the idea of trialling food before resuming a full testing regime. @dunelm thank you for the art. Enjoy the breakfast and opportunity to spread your wings as it were. I have no red hat but I do obviously have red trousers and Tattersall shirts - not bought at those auctions. Ancient RR returned yesterday with working remote locking. The bill? Ouchie. As for Albert please note we wokies call them The Burbs and they are definitely where I am least comfortable hence two years of discomfort. Travel and routes? If I need to plan a route I generally don't want to go but the JKP mobile works fine by me. Post it notes don't have travel updates and workarounds. Them's my onions anyhow. Do what you gotta do today but with love and care. You know it makes sense Rodney.

Thanks @ianpspurs

I shall find out in a weeks time how successful I have been....

I like yellow post-it notes best. But I do have them in every colour, every size, and in every description...
