Nephews wife, who weirdly had accident same day and almost same time as me, goes in fir some keyhole shoulder surgery today

Just called him to offer best way she's etc

Seems their cat came home last night sounding rough
A Raspy breath, but no signs of obstruction or injury .

Nurses her all night .
Poor mite couldn't get comfortable.

So lays still on her favourite spot

He leaves her to go sleep early hours, missus, still working , gets home 7am.

Cat pops up , stretches out, takes a few loving strokes, then bounds out of house, into garden, onto wall and drops into garden spot 2 doors away (her 2nd home apparently )

Nephews goes along rings bell, explains story wants to take cat to vet.

Cat curdled up in garden, passed away:wideyed:
:arghh:

Both of us musing what spirits guide us or drive us when our time is up.??

RiP little cat <pray>
What a shame so sorry, to lose a pet is always sad but to lose them and not know the reason they just lay down and died is doubly sad. K ps. Hope your sister in law recovers soon after her shoulder op. Best Wishes to you and your family.

You'll like the attached - or maybe not. I never liked Wilson and may need to offer Her a tiny grudging acknowledgement even though overall she made most people poorer among other egregious errors. Interesting how Callaghan has been demonised by Wislon's apologists. Tubby is an unmitigated disaster as anyone with eyes could have seen a mile off. Meanwhile in Barbados, Benjamin Stokes esq is literally smashing it out the park.:angelic:

Presumably lowering any taxes is contingent on what you have in the coffers, I'd imagine ?

As I see it , sorry..(the Falklands excepted )
She was the one who began the break up of the UK social fabric

Money , no matter how you earned it
In you come, your fine with us, we don't care

It's also when we, well the govt sold off everything of value

I mean who needs social housing when that lucky few could buy their own homes

Admirable for some.

But then families face hardship, so go the "sell your home to us before you die" who know they're on a winner..
People pass on, homes get sold.

One generation benefits, everyone one after suffers

So yeah, looks good.

I try not to sell everything we own, because we'd have no TV or sofa to watch it on, etc .without buying again at a higher price or renting at others mercy ..(energy/utilities prices ringing any bells ? )

Not sure how countries are much different ?

Misread time on phone, so got up @ 5.35
FBG 5.8
Got tea, but really would prefer another
two hours sleep.
The house is quiet, all guests apparently asleep. Maybe I should go back to bed.

Good morning everyone on what looks to be another fined day here in the dark and dangerous north - soon be vernal equinox by Jean-Michel Jarre. Up at 5.30 also @SlimLizzy but that’s pretty usual for me and I do bask in the quietness of it all before the day kicks off and the bonus of some wonderful looking sky. Dust was the word for yesterday, and phrases like “Kango hammer” - bit hole in chimney breast and a metal line installed - fire will be fitted and finished off today. Ninky Nonks birthday yesterday - 5 already - lots of discussion between themselves about how taller they must be since the day before. Zoom call for birthday tea - they wanted headsets - looked like Smashey and Nicey - “you ain’t seen nothing yet pop pickers”
Art bit - large sheet of unsized rice paper - pinned vertically for a change (I usually just lay it flat on a felt pad). Is it Friday today? Might be - whatever you decide to call it, have a wonderful day. Now I really must dig out that cafetière and make some koffy.

Maybe, but for 50p - 2020 - a pop from a local butcher they were cheap and tasty protein. I think they may have "gotten" more expensive but the principle holds. Also definitely Elsie friendly.
I'll pass on that and save my 50p :yuck:

4.8 this morning.

Yesterday was another day of blood sugars staying really low and feeling really hungry so ate more as l didn't want to drive home from Norwich in the dark with really low BS.

Also had some cheese and nuts before bed in the hope that it would prevent a hypo in the night. It worked. BS definitely didn't go low and I had a good nights sleep.

Hopefully pancreas and liver are back to normal today.

Fbg not taking it for a few days while experimenting with foods.

No Shadow all day yesterday.
The other strays appeared after Fort Knox Fence neighbour went inside late afternoon.

I was sitting by the front window waiting for an Amazon delivery. And a delivery of small trees. I am trying to create more of a sound barrier of vegetation between me and him. He cut down all my evergreen stuff that sheltered my garden, early last year, as I have said before. I've come to the conclusion he is one of those guys who is going to be manically doing intensive DIY until the day those Duracell batteries run out. He is one of those frenetic DIY'ers that could easily turn you into an axe wielding Jack Nicholson.

And more deliveries yesterday on to his driveway and front garden, and another skip. Loads long rectangular lengths wood. Say 4" by 3" and larger kind of sizes like that. Preparing for decking? Or building a structure. He is in his 70's and was lifting a several of these long lengths on to his shoulder at a time, carrying them to the back garden. Back and forth, back and forth....he works harder than a Duracell Bunny...he must be on something...an alien maybe...

I didn't want to do a creative until Shadow came back. So, I am later in posting this morning, but I have been awake again since 1:30 am this morning.

Shadow came back around 6am.
I am so relieved. I let her eat one bowl undisturbed. She did keep looking at me through the window, so I went out and refilled it, but she ran up the garden, then came back and offered me the top of her head. So I stroked it, but it was made very clear I was not allowed to stroke the rest of her. I left her in peace to finish eating.

Now I can relax today....except I have to keep lookout for a parcel...

So here is my creative. A kaleidoscope using my bedroom wicker furniture. Then played around a bit in several apps. Then accidentally put that snow/star effect on it. I couldn't take it off, I was in a new app, so left it. I think I like it!

Have a coffee or three, regenerate your Duracell batteries...

@gennepher Thank you, went back to bed, did sleep a bit
New FBG 7.35am 5.5
So the extra sleep did some good.
Glad to read that Shadow is back.
One of our guests has a cat called Markiis
Looks to be a pedigree, very soft grey fur, slightly squashed looking face.

Yes @dunelm hooray!
Now only if Popeye could commandeer the Tardis and remove a certain neighbour to an alternate time dimension...

So pleased that Shadow came back this morning @gennepher and I do like your kaleidoscope today.
