Lost a gold earring yesterday so back to the shops to ask if it's been handed in. Small hope, but you never know.

To me, this series,(and by the way, may I download them please), is the beginning of a meditation. Drinking my tea now, sitting quietly and half focusing on this painting, and it takes me up the steps to explore in my mind what is at the top of the stairs....

I really liked all your other 'stoneworks" anthology.

But have to confess I felt slightly underwhelmed at the current one pre filling in.

Others I thought would have been very acceptable at that stage, but I found that one cluttered & busy to my eye

What a fool I was to judge so early .

That looks glorious.

I find it hard to see how anyone can capture such a scene with paint, that looks so much like a photograph.

Afternoon all.

A morning of reviewing my independent medical notes.
For transfer to 3rd parties.

Actually received other day, heavy bundle.
And a casual flip through the sheets put me in a bit of a funk.

Spent last few days anxious, angry & agonising over the content....

Finally sat down to dissect details.

One that started my anxiety was the statement I didn't attend my appointments.

But in other sections that's been made Clear it was:

A. Unfeasible as I needed specialist ambulance crew to help transfer me.

(Sat in transportation hub at hospital for 9 hours Xmas on a chair waiting for such a team to become available )
And even the reports states it was a difficult transfer due to stairs, my condition & suitability of mechanical wheelchair (think panzer thank )

B. I was actually IN hospital at the time (2nd visit after wounds became infected )

So I worried a few days unnecessarily..
Note to self: Read..THEN worry

Dissected report.
Some points incorrect, some needed clarifying.

Just felt for a while the world was against me.

What a Wally ..I know I'm tougher then that..but still, I began digging in & wasting unneeded energies ..wasteful .

So the upshot is it's now much better day then it stated ..

Suns shining here in the Capital.

Lots of pomp & pageantry for the tourists & locals.

A time of change.

Difficult I suppose not to stop and lambast sentences as they occur in these reports and I sometimes think that the person making such reports doesn’t think outside of their scripts. Glad it all ended much better. I have missed all the pomp & pageantry. Pleased to read that the Fab Four are back on speaking terms if only for a day and hope that wounds can be mended - not holding my breath though.

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and all who appreciate just how much our royal family mean to tourism, the income they generate, in my opinion far out strips their cost and also the check they provide on those rabid self serving politicians. Wow that was a bit blunt, no apologies.

Bloods this morning were 4.9, whoops to low to ride my motorcycle , after eating something they rose up 8.9. No insulin shot.
37 miles later bloods were 9.3, insulin taken along with koffy and a vegan bacon sarnie. Koffy is a must for most motorcyclists, or tea. A biking friend has a koffy cup holder on his bike and hopefully attached is a picture.

Also a picture of the completed shields, axes and broadsword ( for now. Mrs J did the fiddly painting on the shields.

After I got back to Tilehurst Towers Mrs J, bless her cotton socks, but nothing else told me I had to fix the cool box who’s handle keeps coming off. For the technical amongst you M6 coach bolts and domed nuts playing host to spring washers. No pictures of said cool box.

sounds like a smashing day. Loving the growing armoury and well done to Mrs J for her art skills and giving you nice little jobs to do with nuts and bolts. Smashing bike - Triumph Explorer? Wonder where he got the optional extras from?

Good morning everyone from a very early start here in getting warmer France. Not the worst journey that I have undertaken but as everything sort of went “just in time” can’t really complain and I was surprised at how fast I could run when I realised that I had only three minutes from when the train stopped to catching the replacement bus! Arrived in La Rochelle to find my mother being interviewed for a local radio as to how she felt about the recent death. Her opening reply of, “has something happened”?, with a dead pan face had me biting my lip - it all went downhill from there. Oh well, that will be edited out I guess. Started another bit of art on the journey, just. Have a wonderful Sunday if you can, I am promised 30 degrees here so better make koffy.

Oh yes, these sort of things are well worth keeping in memory (if only I knew where mine is most of the time). Agree about the old shillings & pence but 86° F sounds like being faced by a dragon.

What a hoot - petulant cat turns into rock and roller. My dad, who suffered for years with dry, flaky skin on his head started using coconut oil after mum read about it some years ago - no more dry, flaky skin but he does smell like a bounty bar . Smashing illustration.

Moveable feast because this train was supposed to go directly to the Airport but I now have to change, twice - and one is a bus - what luxury. Art bit. Adding colour. Wonder if I can start another one one the move. Hope you all have a great Saturday. I have already consumed my koffy.

I had been researching what I could put on Midnight's skin, because where it had been very matted when he first came to me, it was still dry and flaky. Coconut oil appeared to be good for just about everything externally on a cat, as well as just about everything internally for the cat. (I am going to explore this for humans next...)

So, I am sitting next to Midnight on the swing, starting with his head with the coconut oil, rubbing it into every bit of skin. Midnight was okay to start with, but then he thinks what is this, and tries to groom it off.

He is so occupied with grooming it off, that he takes no notice of me rubbing this into his skin. I am finally finishing every bit of skin, (nearly an hour later), when Midnight suddenly realises I am responsible for this oily stuff he is trying to groom off himself. And he gives me the most impressive blood curdling snarl.

Well, I did something I shouldn't have done. I laughed, because it was so impressive. I knew he meant it, it was just a one only time warning to me, no more chances, that if I touched him one more time with coconut oil, he would shred me from top to bottom.

His poor little face was so confused. He had given me his best most impressive snarl that should have sent me running. And I laughed. He was actually emotionally upset and hurt that I laughed.

He wouldn't talk to me after that, no friendly eye blinking, I wasn't allowed to touch him, or put my hand anywhere near him.

Bedtime came, and he was still ignoring me. He refused supper, turned his head away from me. I wasn't allowed to say goodnight.

This morning, he was in overdrive with the friendly slow eye blink, and I was invited to stroke him from top to bottom. And I was invited to put food down for him. He was being so so friendly.


Creative is the two things that made me laugh at Midnight yesterday. His impressive snarl, and his new look. He looked as if he had been Brylcreamed to within an inch of his life. A natural mid way parting of fur had occurred down his head, and also all the way down his back to his tail. My hand is a bit wobbly for drawing, so this is my best effort...

His fur this morning however, feels soft and silky as though it has been conditioned well. It was very worth that effort yesterday.

The article I read about the coconut oil, suggest I rub it into the cat's fur daily...

Daughter in Oz has now bought a trail cam like mine!
Her first attempt showed a chunky possum in the back yard!

Just looked at my trail cam shots for the night I brylcreamed Midnight with the coconut oil. So, in 10 hours the trail cam took over 500 one minute videos, and ran the batteries down.

What were the videos of?

A breakdown :
475 one minute videos of midnight vigorously cleaning every inch of himself.
25 one minute videos of Midnight sleeping.
The rest were of the fox and badger.

It was hard work going through that lot.

But the best video was the last one, in colour, in daylight.

Midnight is waiting for me to get up, I was late, slept in.
Next shot he hears me and instantly looks towards the door I am opening.
Then, bottom two shots, with the speed of lightning he leaps off the swing and high tails it to the door.
So, this is my creative for today, a collage.

Please note the neat brylcreamed parting all the way down his back is still in place....

It is now obvious his skin was itchy before because his back was twitching every now and then. And now it is not twitching at all. I was a little worried of jumpy things with the fox and badger in such close proximity, but there were none on him, as I went through every inch of skin. However, the article I read says the coconut oil kills fleas and ticks as well...

Hello everyone on this Sunday morning or perhaps that should be mourning. How long is long enough? I slept very well after just over 10k steps yesterday according to fitbit which also showed pleasing numbers for everything else I think is important. Sunday lunch with MIL today but we may be joined by a son and some grandchildren. The social part is joyous but Sunday lunch low carb style is normally the low point of my week food wise. The meal can be low carb or Sunday lunch but really can't pretend to be both. @dunelm I'm glad the journey went as smoothly as possible and thank you for the latest art. If you could send the 30 c here along with the food and general ambience of France methinks it would be well received. Your mother sounds quite the card. I strongly suspect the apple didn't fall too far from the tree. @SlimLizzy I too hope you find/found your earring. @gennepher thanks for the creative. Midnight looks very sleek in those images. @Krystyna23040 enjoy the lake walk, coffee and sausage roll to follow I presume.
