What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Great stuff on the steps. Not at all envious/nostalgic :angelic:
I didn't mean to do so many steps. I had an extra long break yesterday so walked up to Norwich City Centre between classes and wandered around the Department Stores. I was intending to take the bus back to my venue but no bus because the road was closed for roadworks.

So I had to walk back. It rained on the way back and I had no coat. Then I taught 2 classes in the evening.

I had a look at the TrailCam SD card yesterday to try and find what had upset Midnight that night. But there were no obvious signs the TrailCam recorded. But an hour later Midnight is on the swing warily watching the fox when suddenly the fox got too close and...

There is a bit where the fox goes out of frame, you can hear him, but he comes back in at the end...

So my collage creative this morning, using the frames from this, is...

Have a good day...

Hello everyone from the increasingly autumnal thus much less exotic East. Here it is a day to remember and mourn the less famous, in particular Benjamin, Ben, P who was killed in action this day in 1916. I have his medals and the standard letter "from the King" his parents received. Which they lovingly framed and displayed and has been cherished by my family. My grandfather, his nephew, was a soldier so he was custodian of the memorabilia which passed to my father. Interestingly though, my uncle did the research for the Roll of Honour from which the attached is taken. Both myself and at least one son have visited his grave. I can only imagine the grief felt by John and Mary P. Meanwhile in the here and now thanks for the video and creative @gennepher. I'm struck by the logistics of you hanging and refilling the fatball feeder which seems to me to pick up the current theme of service to others. All God's creatures. @dunelm thank you for gradually revealing your developing art. Good news on the cooling and the benches for the walk. Enjoy the meal in Super U. We have never eaten in one of those but we have eaten well from them. You've all had your eyes and brains damaged enough by my drivel for one day - one lifetime if we are all honest - so: Be careful, book your jab(s) and plot your own way through these bizarre times where every now and again some eternal verities break through the 24 hr rolling "news" cum reality tv.
A very poignant memory, take care

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen, ok kid gloves off, if you woke up it’s a good morning, everything thing else is incidental :).
.
Blood sugars this morning were a predictable 6.9.
.
Here in Tilehurst Towers it’s another day, another visit to the local hospital for results, I am under strict instructions from Mrs J to take copious notes with or without spelling and grammatical errors. I been informed again by Mrs J that I only listen to what I want to hear.
.
So far this morning tea is drunk, safety koffy is being drunk as I type this, 30 minutes plinky plonky scales, F#minor, F# and contrary motion F and lastly LFT test for the hospital visit, -ve. Unfortunately no motorcycling today.
Stay safe all now I must depart and annoy Mrs J.
All the very best for these results @alf_Josiah

This is my garden mate: Midnight 1, Fox 0.

Good morning everyone on another hot and steamy pre-monsoon like start here in the Charante-Maritime. Smashing lunch out yesterday but like all these things an afternoon snooze just had to follow. No idea what we are doing today apart from accompanying dad over to the Wednesday market this morning before the day gets too hot - there is a bread stall there selling all manner of wonderful loaves - no baguettes in this house thank you. We bought some ham and a melon yesterday and dad picked figs so I can only guess what is for lunch - what will I have one wonders. Art bit - adding a bit of texture - slowly, slowly - this heat is not my friend. Have a wonderful day if you can, I shall make koffy and catch up with the news.

Winner, for the slow release of detail on this drawing. I really like watching this gradual progression. And I am learning a lot...

But a gentle hug for the heat @dunelm

I tested my blood this morning and have a different result on my left hand to my right hand L-100 (5.5), R-106 (6.0). I tested it twice . Is this something normal if I am right handed. What results do left handed people get.
Hi @Russell808 .

A Rightee here :bag:

When I started I'd test several times in succession ...and get different results, with different fingers ..:banghead:

Never tested other hand.

Those differences are normal.

Now all I do is one test unless it's entirely different &/or unexpectedly high.

No answer to your left v right conundrum..thinks it's likely similar..pick the best hand & stick with it ?

Btw, welcome to our little corner of the forum :)

" And we get live to Harry at ringside, folks....

Hello Studio....
Let me tell you the crowds in uoroar.
The fights just ended, & the referee has stopped the fight in the 3rd round.

Many were saying this Young challenger , could be a match for the wily champion , but a careful start by the champ had the challenger over confident, and & stunning right, ended this is a contest.

Basil Da Fist was taught a lesson by the Welsh Tornado.

While we're waiting to talk to him, let's just have a few words with the champs trainer, Angelo DeGennefer........"

Hello chums and welcome @Russell808. For some today is Holy Cross day on which Basil (the herb not the glove puppet fox of blessed memory) is important. Interesting story as to why if you are bored/ fancy a break from rolling "news." I really like basil (bayzill?) so hopefully it should work with my usual salad or I may find some charcuterie containing basil. @dunelm I'm glad the meal yesterday was a success and that food and the prospect of splendid bread sounds like a perfect reason to leave the LC reservation. I too am really enjoying the slow reveals. @gennepher fascinating video of Big M asserting his authority. Drive through blood test for me later but first I'll go all hunter gatherer and find some basil and pain au raisin for JKP when she awakes. MIL had both COVID booster and flu shot yesterday. No 3 son needs the venerable RR as his Nissan requires a part unavailable in the UK potentially up to 12 weeks. He will love the fuel bill :bigtears: For those of you in the UK who enjoy Autumn have a great day but do spare a thought for me over the next 6-8 months. I don't have SAD but the clothes needed and the impossibility of reconciling seasonal UK food with LC is a pain. Pip, Pip Old Toots.

Morning all

A nerve tingling 8.3 the other day.

Rather a nice dinner probably too late in the day , the cause.

Had the furry nephew out for an extended walk & play
(I e-scoot up to the local park, he plays fetch & tug...when not distracted or forgetful to fetch ) and we usually meet up with Lauren after her work

A nice day but playtime ran over.

All 3 of us nodded off on the couch, once back home..

Oh the joys of getting older...:hilarious:

Hence the lateness of dinner.

Back in the 7's today , so I suppose it's made me grateful for such low numbers ...haha

Today's it's back to Deep diving my accident memory & see what i can fish out this time .:sorry:

Oh, and it seems I suffered from a concussion or knock to the head for a few days after my accident, according to reports....mmh

Would explain a few things ..:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

Btw...
Thank you all for the kind words over that.

I know now it was just cold facts.
& Some of it I, myself had reported.

Set out as statements they read very different from how I had said & meant them.

A review with solicitors to touch on a few points, in the next day or so.

But other then the contentious 'no shows"...it all reads fine .
( My overthinking after reading too small a sample  )

Even discovered i broke my wrist as well as my hand and various other bones ...:arghh:

Only complaint is it's too detailed and reading back, its rather bleak & in your face with some of the wording..tbh :wideyed:

Have your bestest day possible.
Arrivederci my friends.

Deffo some win in there .

Made my mouth water at the talk of pan aux raisins...oh for the days

Hug for the long march into winters darkness ...but you know each step is one closer to the light of summer once more.

Scant consolation on the journey, admittedly.

Ho ho ho .for the son, with the RR fuel costs..
Think lots of car stuff is 'just in time'...now sadly stuffed by various crisis's ..hope it turns up sooner .

& Hope blood run is a good un.

Thanks for that. Blood run should be a doozy - he says. I hope the deep dive goes as well as those events ever can and y'all continue to enjoy the post frolic naps.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and a hearty welcome to all newcomers to this outpost of this rather helpful site.

A 5.9 this morning on that meter of deception.
.
Results from yesterday’s hospital visit, more tests required starting on Friday, oh hum. Roll with the punches.
Stay safe all and no I’ve not been invited to the funeral, good job really dark suit, brown trainers and white socks might not look quite respectful.
