I started Lyumjev last night so today is the first day I am actually using it fully and for the first time in months my lunch time blood sugar has actually stayed relatively within a normal range, my “highest” reading from my pump post lunch time meal was 9.3, which was 2 hours after eating. Usually at this time I would be 14+ and no autocorrections have been given (would usually have had a few by now!) so for the first day I am very happy and impressed. Also I haven’t really suffered with the stinging that is mentioned although my site is definitely a little more sore than usual but if this helps my lunch time sugars to stay within a good range I can put up with that! Will definitely see how the next week goes and whether there is an improvement but looks promising :)
Lyumjev sounds good, so far, so I really hope it stays good for you!

Good Morning @karen8967

I would like some sleep tonight please T1D. For some reason all friggin night I kept going low. I had half a vanilla soy milk,12carbs, 15 grapes,15 carbs, half a candy bar, 12 carbs, and a ginger candy 5 carbs during the night and still woke up at 4.3. I say for some reason, but it was probably the 30 miles I did on my exercise bike during the day. I splurged food wise on several things and used the exercise to help combat any highs. But frankly I do 10 miles every day and 10=20 all the time. But 30 miles is more unusual and while it didn't feel like work, I guess my body said otherwise. So very little sleep. That mistake was not repeated today as I was tired all day and barely did my 10 miles.

Been a full week on Lyumjev now. Upside is my sugars at dinner are a lot better, no more spiking. Downside is my sites get a lot more sore at the 2-3 day mark, I can put up with it and it’s worse in areas with less fat but it’s definitely noticeable, I don’t get stinging when insulin is delivered though.

It seems for the first time in the years since originally diagnosed in 2015, I only have my own diabetes to look after during the working day. Well, until someone changes their mind yet again about where I should be working this year.

I have spent part of today educating my new Main Colleague, who is renowned for being anti-personal devices being out at any time in the classroom, that my phone is now a medical device and I will not be parted from it and I will get it out if I need to scan. I've had an unintentional Libre break as I'm still, after 3 weeks, waiting for replacements for failed sensors but I've got the next prescription ones so have got going again. I'd been generous about not chasing up before given post strikes and the somewhat unexpected Bank Holiday, but enough is enough.

I’ve woken up with a dreaded cold, I knew it was starting to come yesterday. Not sure about anyone else but I suffer really badly with them and I’m knocked out for at least 2 days. Thankfully the “worst” of it should be over this weekend whilst I’m off work so I can rest as much as possible, blood sugars are coping well but I am miserable :(

Sending hugs @Nicola M and hope you feel better soon. Take care.

Hope everyone else has a good weekend. It's cold, wet and miserable here. Am having to fight the temptation to put the fire on, and it's only September! Eek!! Never have a lot of heating on anyway, as it's always been 2 costly, but feeling decidedly chilly, probably didn't help that I didn't get a good sleep last night.

Good to see you posting again @karen8967
