What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good national bin day afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen, I was a trifle preoccupied earlier this morning.

Blood sugars this morning were 7.2, well within my hospital given limits.

I was taken food shopping this morning by Mrs J and as usual banished to the koffy shop, then dragged kicking screaming like a naughty boy to the checkout where much laughter was heard. One of Mrs J’s close friends joined her at the checkout, the aren’t men a pain banter was rife.
.
On the way to the supermarket Mrs J drove me to Screwfix so I could purchase a couple of necessary items, I shall repeat the fact that Mrs J drove.
Have you ever seen a 40 tonne arctic lorry swerve?………I have.
.
Stay safe all, the car will now not be used till this evening when Mrs J will be on the roads again.

Funny, but I'm worried it might be dangerous. Other large road vehicles don't bother to swerve. You have to pick the right one.

Em's St Bernard had 11 pups yesterday evening. I don't think they have any offers of homes for them yet, although the ones in the last litter were mostly booked before they were born. It's quite a thought to take on a pup that is a cross between a St Bernard and a 1/4 German Shepherd X 3/4 Newfoundland. They are big dogs. Both parents standing at about 36" plus at the shoulder. They were not deliberately bred, but Banksie (the Newfie X) knew what was going down before his owners! They are cute, of course, and pretty small at present, but as we saw last time, they grow very fast (and very big).

Just to illustrate the point of the size of these dogs:

1. Ginnie - the mother decided to be a lapdog, she was still not fully grown at the time.
2. Ginnie (mother), Banksie (father) and Bella - a fully grown labrador

The fox, who I call Foxy Loxy is mooching around, but keeps checking on the swing for that cat, Midnight, who frequently hisses at him and bops him one on the nose. He is slightly nervous of all the cats now...but yet he keeps coming back...

Creative painted in Procreate. Autumn is getting very cold...

Hopefully the sun might peek out from behind the constant dark cloud cover...

Time for a cuppa....

And for my first nap!

Wow, that’s bright

FBG 5.4 at 3.30 am. That's good, but it has risen since then to 10+ - on the strength of a cup of tea, some pills and a spoonful of yoghurt to get the pills down.

Em is here, scoffing a bacon and ketchup sandwich. When she's finished that, she'll have one of the brownies that I made for her and then get ready for school. She has half an hour left for all that, so she'll need to get a move on. It's wet and cold outside, Might heat up once the dawn has broken and the sun might be around somewhere. It's been very dark here for the last few days. Children leaving home in the dark and going home in the dim light. It's not good. At least our road isn't all that busy so Em doesn't really have a problem.

6.1 this morning. Dog walk done, coffee drunk and shortly off to our little market town to do some shopping and pick up a new power saw from Argus.

I was so happy last night - the A47 was open. No overnight roadworks and no horrible detour.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who wonder.

A straight 6.0 this morning.

A pleasant morning and lunch is hopefully planned today, but as in life things are subject to change, no I shall not blame Mrs J, I want to.

Christmas decorations, so many houses in my road are now fully festooned, it makes my early evening walk a pleasure. Mrs J will be starting on hers, note I say hers, left up to me…….but Mrs J rules.

Tonight I am being left unsupervised, in charge of the idiot box remote control, I could watch anything I wanted, subject to knowing how to operate the remote control, the remote control is in the same mental box as the washing machine, un fathomable and a black art. Give me quantum physma plasics any day.

Have any of you looked at the forecast temperatures? Wish me, me’s and myself hadn’t do I wear long johns over my long johns and trousers or better still nip up to the House of Lords claim an allowance while cuddling a radiator or three while muttering hear hear.

Stay safe, stay warm all and copious hugs if required.
