What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Just grabbed my dry washing before/ just as the heavens opened...
By the time I had locked up and thrown out food for the beasties, I was a drowned rat...

Dry clothes on, and now making a flask of tea...

Saved me doing any watering....

And hopefully it reduced the internal temperature of the bungalow by a degree...

It's raining. Not heavily but the plants in the garden could do with whatever there is going. Bit of a breeze. The weather app says today is going to be overcast here with a temperature of 16C with an 8mph breeze. In fact, it's already 23C, raining and a breeze which looks to be about 20mph going by the way the trees are waving around. Neil got all the flies to go out yesterday evening (didn't find the spider in my bedroom though - nor did I until 5am - that got me up and hunting for the spider catcher)

The flies that came in yesterday were the type that buzz aimlessly around the room and dive bomb people. Very annoying. I decided to buy a fly zapper from Amazon - it should arrive by Wednesday. My brother was telling me how successful the one he bought has been. Did I say, I hate flies?

FBG (5am so I can count it as that) 10.9 and rising. 2 cups of tea so far but I'll have to think about breakfast soon.

I have a telephone consultation booked for 27th June and have been asked to measure my waist. That is something I have avoided doing so far, but thought I'd just better get on and do it. It was even worse than I expected. 55 inches! That's only 10 inches less than my height. Oh how I hate looking like this. I was on the edge of a photo taken a few days ago, trying not to be in it at all but there I was and I was appalled at my huge stomach. I asked if I could be trimmed out of the picture. There are 2 of them - this, if I can attach it, is the less offensive one.

BG is playing with me. Yesterday and Friday I had hypos on very little insulin. Today it's been hovering between 10 and 15 all day, despite larger amounts of insulin for similar amounts of food and a correction dose in the afternoon. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
It is horrible when your body doesn't react in a logical way to the insulin dose. That used to drive me crazy when I was on insulin.

Good morning everyone on an all things bright and beautiful start here in the dark and dangerous north. It rained for several hours last night so that’s the plants watered and the car cleaned. Had a smashing video chat with my mother yesterday (dad was abed having his afternoon nap). They are having their house painted and she is pleased with the attention to detail so far. Dad of course can’t see the point and will be a bit miffed at such extravagant dipping into his beer funds. Art bit, decided to add a bit of colour but it looks very fed up. Hugs for those who want them and happy birthday to @ianpspurs. Best finish this koffy before it goes cold.

Good morning @dunelm
I didn't think it looked fed up...until I read your words...but now I see a grumpy thing looking at you with one eye...

Morning all from a cooler L.A. where some odd wet substance must have been deposited. How very quaint. The bbq cum hot tub jolly was unaffected.. The Little Guy © loved it and has mastered riding a scooter well before his 2nd birthday. @dunelm thank you for the splendid art which is a fine testament to the designer and maker of both the art and structure. Also, thanks for the kind wish - sort of me too (see attached). MIL presented me with a bottle of Speyside single malt in exchange for her morning tea. Pretty sure we'll imbibe them at different speeds. @Annb , @Outlier has nailed the correct reaction to the photo. @Krystyna23040 Mr K recedes even further into the distance for we mere mortals. I tried the Keto scone with keto strawberry jam and clotted cream yesterday. I found the ensemble most agreeable so I'll move on to the cinnamon ring doughnut - hole and all - today. What has become my go to celebration cake later when #1 son and grandchildren pop round. We watched a film last evening - Keto food and films?. Who are you and what have you done with Ianp? - almost baled out early doors but glad I hung in there. Interesting line about youth Kiera (her version is summer, Adam Levine's is autumn/winter). Also have a bonus gift from me - bit crackly but I feel one needs the voice - not Kelly Belmont's. Have a simply spiffing day chums.

He played safe and chose answer two @gennepher. However, I did manage to sort out some stuff for the charity shop.
Think maybe a different result here. MrSlim is quite likely to apply flannel and answer one.
