What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Always quite fancied trying a Libre for a couple of weeks/month just to see what was happening & experiment but...perhaps its nt worth it
Yes well I am divorced from mine on grounds of very unreasonable behaviour!

7.2 this morning ugh haven’t been that high since I don’t know when. Going to have to try even less carbs. I am going to Bali with family for my birthday in September. Will be back to swimming and aqua aerobics soon so that should help.
Did anyone else have this happen after stopping a medication? Gliclazide in my case.

So the rubbish cold has turned out to be Covid. I only became suspicious when I realised I could not smell the bread I was baking. Its a first time outing for me I was beginning to think, hoping, I was immune but I guess not. Anyway, FBG came in at 5.9 this morning which knowing theamount of snacking I've been doing over the past couple of days is not too bad. Have a good day folks. Now off for some toast for breakfast

Have you tried the libre free trial from Abbott? you just need to have a compatible phone to record the data.
FreeStyle Libre

Thank s for the link. Just had a look and unfortunately their free trial for Libre 2 is currently unavailable...should I take the plunge though - I would really love to know what happens at night and after some meals! Made minestrone soup last night and put a handful of orzo in it BG zoomed to 10.6 at 2 hours and a 6000 step walk! Did it 3 1/2 hours later and it was back to 5.7...

There is a moral to this story don't put pasta in your soup that you can't see!

It’s only the odd sensor I have issues with. In the 12 months I have been using them I have only had a handful of troublesome ones.

FBG Fingerprick 5.9 Libre 5.2 … in the 5s! just.
Thanks for the info. I might take the plunge...I think cost wise it will not be that much more. You still need to do finger pricks?

Yes, I weaned myself off gliclazide by reducing carbs further.

If I were you, I'd raise a separate thread in the type 2 neighbourhood of the forum, where it's more likely to be seen by former gliclazide users.

Oops sorry I didn't drill down into the actuals so wasn't aware it was unavailable. Hope they bring it back soon, Doesn't surprise me that your bloods jumped with the addition of Pasta - wonder if something like skinny rice or pasta would work?
