What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone from the dark future that is sailing an hour ahead in French Froggy France. Six airports closed yesterday in France, including Bordeaux due to what turned out to be a bomb hoax. We diverted to Bergerac and, with three other passengers, hired a car and drove to Merignac (Bordeaux airport). 2 trams to the railway station (good job I only book a train just prior to it departing). Was pleased on this occasion that the last train out of Bordeaux was delayed by 10 minutes - hooray! Arrived safe and well at 10pm where a bottle of wine had been left out by dad who had gone to bed. Mum heated up my dinner in the microwave. Anyhow, art bit, quick sketch this morning using an ink brush and water. Have your best day, I shall dig out some Koffy.

It seems odd that protesters like Greta Thunberg are arrested whereas anti Semitic and Hamas supporters are given a light touch.

It looks like the freedoms given in our country are being abused.

What kind of idiots would make homemade rockets with unknown characteristics made from pipes (imported for water and drainage) full of fuel in areas of dense high population?

Brilliant, for both how you tackled yesterday, and this sketch @dunelm

I have a few strategies in place for the trolls.
We'll see how I get on with that...

Advice yesterday was to stop all comments. A sensible idea and immediately stress free, but I don't want to do that, not yet anyway. The trolls hide behind privacy on their accounts, often with no posts themselves. So, they only have one intent which is to cause misery for others, and entertainment for themselves.

As I said I have several strategies. I am still working/researching on it. It is different within YouTube to Instagram. Both platforms are giving you, the creator, more control. So I am still investigating that.

Creative...
When I start in this app I have no idea of the finished product. I draw with my finger. The colours are random, not what I choose.
And then I put it in Procreate for some extra work...

I need a quick nap.
Coffee is drunk.
Have your best day.

Morning all from L.A. where storm Babet seems to have done little except drop some water. @dunelm thanks for intriguing us by sharing that minimalist piece. Good news on managing to arrive at your parents' home despite all the hassle. @gennepher I hope the strategies work and you can continue to share the videos in peace. Thanks for sharing the creative. Is that cottage your ideal location - Psalm 96 v 12? @lindisfel hug for the migraine and cold but thanks be to God for Alan being so kind : By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. I need to work through yesterday's blood test results and provide the sleeping beauties with tea. Some days are diamonds (some days are stone) so don't feel the need to pretend just make the best you can of the hand you are dealt each day.Yes, sweep your own side of the street but maybe check if you can somehow help those on the other side?
Update from bloods; Random glucose from sample taken @10.40 ish yesterday was 5.1 - not quite fasted as I had almond milk in tea no carbs though

6.3 this morning.
I was so grateful that Mr K did the Aldi shop last night while I was teaching classes - which meant that I have had a more relaxing morning. So lovely not to rush out to do the weekly shop before my sister arrives and we do the admin.

Mr K got the Hive working. He gave up with the computer and put the app on his phone and was able to update the heating schedule for the winter.

i have caught up with the posts. I do really enjoy reading them. Now I will read the 'I' before my sister arrives and I have to start the admin.

Legs rebandaging day today so it is the only day when my shower includes my legs. The house is not desperately cold despite the wind outside but I am waiting for the shower room to warm up a bit before I go in there (turned the thermostat up about 20 minutes ago).

At the moment it is bright and dry but it is very windy.

Neil will do the shopping while I am in the Health Centre so I hope they are reasonably well stocked despite lack of ferries.

BG at 4.30 am was 8.9. Gone up since then into the 9's. Hope to get it down at least to the 7's when I have eaten.

That's how the gap tree would have looked if it had not been sheltered from
the prevailing winds.

Yes that cottage is my ideal location, but a few more trees, and more land around it...

Good news on Hive now behiving :banghead: Did Mr K avoid the big Paddington, cheap as chips reduced to clear (but fine for Saturday evening then grandson to play in) England RWC top and sirloin steak* JKP made me put in the trolley? We only went for dog food and baby wipes :arghh: . Aldi Newmarket is opposite the hospital where I had my bloods taken so back in November. Random strings of amazingly gorgeous (and very valuable) horses appear as if from nowhere in that town but they have right of way.
Update. Probably best to avoid the *d. This will discombobulate a few. Processed meat is worse - no manure Sherlock. Since it was US based did they control for the bun, fries, supersized shake and everything else along with the (processed) meat?
