Abigail rang up this pm she got to Edinburgh from York ok on Monday and the train was delayed by three hours and they had to change three times, she reckoned they will get their fares back. It was never like that with the Gresley Pacifics.

They saw the Pandas at that hilly zoo a couple of times on Tuesday but Dylan is not into Pandas nowadays. They had some good meals and a very hot curry.

The Pandas go back to China in December that's why she wanted to see them again.
She has loved Pandas since we bought her one when she was born in 1970. They went back to York yesterday.

Helen goes off to London with her friend from school days here.Their going south by two different modes of transport. They both are celebrating getting to sixty together.
Her mum and dad used to go to bed when they came home from school... they were both teachers. Helen told us about what their Mum and did from infants school.
Marjorie and I often had a good laugh about their custom.
It's good being young!

So sorry to read your post. Is there anything that leads to a flare up of the Crohn's, or does it just come out of the blue? My elder son has Crohn's and manages to control it with diet alone but he, luckily, doesn't have diabetes so can eat very low fibre carbs as a major part of his diet. When it does flare up, he eats tinned mackerel and that seems to calm it down. Other than that, he doesn't eat animal or fish products. So far, in the 30 years he's had it, he's only been hospitalised once and that was for investigation, not treatment.

Unfortunately it was diagnosed late when I had multiple strictures in the small bowel by the TI

Flares are just random but had 6 this year requiring hospital, this one the worst so far.

Apart from the diabetes angle (it’s steroid induced diabetes) I’m on a low fat low fibre diet for the Crohns).

Waiting for elective surgery to have most of small bowel taken away because of the strictures.

I think no 2 people alike with Crohn’s as it’s literally all the alimentary channel (it’s in my oesophagus also.

Sorry for whinge numbers really hit me on top of everything else.

Wish your son a full and ongoing remission.

Kind regards, JoMar

It is!
I now have the opportunity to get a holiday in the sun to relieve my anxiety!

I have not been actually diagnosed by a specialist but my test scores from a couple of questionnaires. That indicates severe anxiety.
Doesn't every condition need an acronym?
There was a story in the Beeb, I have probably told you before, the Regional Supervisor Engineering was called the R.S.E.
The problem came when he got an assistant with the appropriate initials on his door.:)

Creative. An owl, painted in Procreate. I was struggling doing this last night. Frustrated. Then suddenly, when I changed the colour of the sky, I am like - I love this one! It is a bit different...

Last night, I was asleep, woke up because I realised Midnight was not asleep on me. Turned bedside lamp on. I saw stray black cat Amy at Midnight's cat biscuits by the bedroom door. The kitchen cat food must have all been eaten. She had not come in for supper yesterday evening. I went back to sleep. But an hour later I woke up to some reflective eyes in the darkness which were slow blinking me (the moon was bright as day last night, despite not being a full moon). Gingerly I turn on the lamp. It was Amy, wanting help. So, I thought maybe the door to the kitchen and escape has jammed so she can't get back out. There, right in front of the door keeping it firmly closed was a 28lb door stop, black cat Midnight, looking at me with big wide innocent eyes. I couldn't move him, he had turned into stone...

So, gently I coaxed Amy to the back door which opens up onto Wild Beast Kingdom and Jade (the new guardian of the swing). I cannot touch or pick up Amy, she turns into a wild beast herself, but she does trust me talking softly to her. So thus Amy escaped the Guardian of the Bungalow, who came to me with accusing eyes, "You spoilt my fun"....

I went back to sleep, aided by the Guardian of the Bungalow whi is now a huge spread out hot water bottle on my chest...

Have your best kind of day...

Time for a cuppa.

Smashing artwork. I am loving these owls. In New Zealand resides one called a Morepork - not suitable for vegans.

Good morning everyone from a ‘thank goodness, no rain’ start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.9 this am. A dismal and dreary drizzle day yesterday and none of the new plastic free poppies to be found. The RBL of course are keen to dispose of their supplies of the plastic stemmed ones. Will have a look tomorrow. Mrs Miggins is keen to have them for The Festival of Remembrance that we are off to this year. The grandchildren are going home today - nice to see you, thanks for the kicks, giggles and exhaustion! Art bit, another tree. Must find something else to do before all the birds have flown south. Hope your Friday is a damp free one. I simply must have some koffy.

What a beautiful Autumn morning in Cumbria with blue skies and calm with a slight breeze.

Feeling much better today after I sorted my BP yesterday and moved all my tablets about.
It was going far too low in pressure and knackering me.

I'll go and see if I can get my outstanding tablets this am when Marjorie has to see GP short notice at 0940 today.

10.9 at 3 am. 10.7 at 7.30. Just had to change my Libre sensor so shan't take another reading for an hour, but that's OK, I've only just had some breakfast and don't need to for a bit. Oximeter saying 92% this morning. Better than it has been but still not what it should be. Going to start doing some breathing exercises and maybe singing if no-one can hear me to try to get back a little bit of lung power.

That's what my Dad used to do until a woman in the next road asked my Mum to stop him because it was too early in the morning and he woke her baby before she wanted him to wake up. Dad had a rich baritone voice and fancied himself as an operatic singer. Mine is a more gravelly, jazz kind of voice.

6.1 this morning. Had a really good day yesterday and caught up with loads of admin - so not too much to do today. I might even get time to go through some training videos before classes this evening.

Mr K chauffeured me in to classes yesterday evening as the weather was really horrible. It was so lovely not to be driving.

While I was teaching he visited The Range and B&M and bought various useful things and, unusually for him, a Crunchie. I asked him if he had enjoyed it and he said that it was so sweet that it actually made him feel a bit queasy after eating it, which was very interesting.

Post counselling, which he targeted the trigger for the anxiety turning to frustrations that ramp up to anger.
It was interesting to hear him explain the stages, especially when in a reasonable mood that can quickly evolve into rage.
Have another questionnaire about anxiety levels.
From the last questions, he has informed me I have mild depression, and have a score that means that I have severe anxiety. S.A.D. (Severe Anxiety Disorder). Which has me worried!!! Ha!
I am actually not surprised.

Meanwhile I received a phone call from a London number. He introduced himself as a Detective constable, from a police station in inner London. Be asked me to look up the police station and verify the phone number. He said that the police had arrested a man in argos, who was using my debit card. I told him, that was impossible cos I had it in my hand! He then said, it was a clone card and the guy had a number of cards on his person. I questioned the details but gave non back. I have been here before!
I asked several questions, about contacting the bank. But he told me that they had already contacted the fraud team at the bank. With that he told me that if he had more information could he phone back! Why not, nothing had gone out of the bank.
Just before I went to counselling, my phone rang again. It was the police again, and because of more information he said that, if I could give him some information to confirm what they had! I told him to go ahead. He then asked me to input certain card information to help them on my keypad.
So, being cautious, I said, I would never reveal any personal information of my bank account, and would inform the bank myself.
At that the phone went dead!
So after counselling, it was a police station number, but, for I had used a find a phone number app, there was quite a number of scams from those who had had the same phone call that I did!
I also phoned the bank and got a lot of support that anything untoward or unusual withdrawals would be looked into. My bank account already had a fraud prevention notice on it. If that is what it is called.

This could have led to open season on my account!
It was a scam!
Do be careful!

My best wishes to you all as always!
Well done for spotting the scam. The fraudsters are getting cleverer - which is scary.

I was classed as a growler at school it meant being in the growler desks and keeping quiet.
But when I sang at church up here I was a bass when we practiced Christmast songs for the local choir.

You could sing in my garden and only sheep and cows will hear you.

6.6 this really miserable weather, rainy, wet, damp, showers every five minutes Friday.
I have ordered a replacement ark from Arkwrights.
This is to replace the last one that the storm blew away I gave the builders 1 star on Amazon!
Just can't get the quality no more, it has to be brexit! Those luxury yachts we build seem okay!
Maybe it was the price?
A couple of sovereigns it cost me!

In a fair mood, cos #8 came round (with his dad) and we had a great play. His vocabulary has grown so quickly and often repeats grandad, if he can't see me, or wants something, and then I give him it. He is still into everything and you do need to keep an eye on him, but he is a chatterbox, just turned two last month and already speaking short sentences. I

Chores for the morning done, no shopping as the rain is bouncing and relentless but it won't wash the leaves away!!!

Mrs L has been woke up by #8 and needs a brew, gotta go!

Noddy Holder and Michael Buble will be making a killing already
don't forget the record companies, if that is what they are called now!
they won't be on my chrimbo playlists!

I have been banned from vocals and karaoke!
As my music tastes are those who have a great range in harmony and great vocals, I would have wished a falsetto range. But it called a screech, I believe!
