16.8 this morning, I know it had to be the family Dorito bag I had last night. Woke up headache and feeling yucky.
Hope you're feeling better now. I don't know the carb content of Doritos off hand.

The risk for everyone, whether diabetic or not, lies in ultra-processed snacks like this that contain next to nothing of nutritional value, but are high in trans fats. Those often appear on food labels as hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated vegetable oil.

Perhaps this is one item to leave on the supermarket shelf!

I agree, the dawn phenominum is not my friend either. 7.0 this morning after yesterday's 8.3. same amount of carbs each day and very similar sleep...no logic.. Hay ho. happy Sunday everyone
Same …carbs as close to 30g a day (exception might be Fish Finger Firsday, my treat of the week) mostly eat the same meals on rotation, no snacking. All we can do is carry on carrying on!

halfway through our mini holiday to the east coast of Vancouver island….so nice. Saw old friends and our son and daughter in law. walked 25,000 steps yesterday through the rain forest and Oceanside. Ate good food.
weather has cooperated with record warm temperatures and minor rain.
off to walk the estuary now. Need to get some ground beef for supper, I always bring my own food.

Agreed. I'm an optimist at heart so I wull just keep plugging away. I was a bit naughty today, I've had 45g of carbs today, and eaten late.. we'll see what tomorrow brings..

Well done for persevering.

I find Dawn is at her phenomenal worst when I do not make time to exercise the previous day. I appreciate this is not possible for everyone but, the morning after a long walk or spin session, I seldom see a rise at all. Just a thought.

Morning All 7.6 with a red face as had half Peking crispy duck in a low carb wrap last night. I think the two teasp Hoisin sauce were the dynamite but it was glorious and just felt normal. I’ll never get to the Hive but then I would be happy to get to stand outside and look in! Happy Monday everyone.

6.8mmols. Yay! Finally in the 6s since the clocks changed. My back is extremely painful atm even when I’ve taken prescribed medication, paracetamol and ibuprofen so maybe the reason for the higher numbers. Goodness knows what damage I’m doing to my kidneys :arghh:

Have a momentous Monday everyone xx

Much to my surprise, a FBG of 5.9 this morning.

It was surprising cos I was out for lunch had real bread yesterday in an open sandwich thing, and I tested late this morning, after a shimmy around the kitchen with a cleaning cloth. I thought either might wreck the numbers, but maybe the 3 mile walk I did yesterday did the trick. I know from Libre that Dawn is still around, but she definitely has less impact these days.

Good morning ️ from California!

5 mmol/L 90 mg/dL. Happy Sunday morning. I added 2 apples to my daily diet, apples doesn’t spike my BG. Have a nice day everyone.

I can only tolerate half an average size dessert apple at any one time, they are surprisingly full of carbs for something so healthy and tend to spike my BG levels. But I’ve discovered that half an apple with some cheese makes a good dessert/snack, and barely registers on the scale, so its a nice treat now.
