What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

7.4 - I know why, no mystery: During Saturday Grapes, Plums and my own root vegetable curry with two chapattis. Oh yes, and too much Lime Chutney. Proof positive, like I need it, that I have the condition called T2 that reminds me to be respectful of my EndoSys.

Lets have a calm, quiet and respectful Remembrance Weekend.

Morning!
Squeaked getting into the 5 hive with a 5.9 - was expecting much worse. Anyway no real plans murky and yuk outside so might light the woodburner and try and do some knitting - and go for a walk of course!

Have a lovely holiday @PenguinMum Glad to hear your son is OK @Ashybang Mango chutney is my killer @Estragon and rice of course

T2 for sure but with a very happy gut biome

Morning all. Have yet to read all the postings from about Wednesday. Had a great day and in the evening went down with a nasty tummy bug.. My bg's were, thursday 6.1; friday 6.5; saturday 6.7 and today 6.5. Obviously haven't been eating much so it proves I eat too much!! Watch this space! Have a great sunday folks. :)

A disappointing result this morning. I experimented with 2 Wholegrain Ryvitas at 8pm last night and although my BG didn’t shift prior to bedtime, I suspect I am paying the price this morning.
Libre 8.1
CodeFree meter 7.0

Good morning ️ from California!

4.82 mmol/L 87 mg/dL. Happy Sunday morning. Have a nice day everyone.Yesterday ate, 2 some strawberries and raspberries, seems like meter doesn’t detect fructose!
Well, fructose ends up as glucose in your bloodstream, so will certainly contribute to your BG numbers.

Modern apple varieties contain high levels of fructose, so they're not particularly diabetic-friendly. Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blackcurrants OTOH are low in fructose, so the effects of a modest helping should be negligible.

Didn’t test yesterday as up early and travelling to see gorgeous 2 year old granddaughter. A 6.5 hour round trip meant we were in the car longer than the visit
Anyhoo 7.0 this morning and I expected higher as I had a pub lunch yesterday but coffee instead of pudding!

Hope you all had a good Sunday.
@Ashybang glad your son is out of hospital
@PenguinMum enjoy Lanzarote  I’m jealous:)

Thanks for the useful information.
