What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

For years fasting 5 to 6. Then my meds changed by surgery and it creased to 9.9 to 11.3. they stopped 2x10mg gliclazide with 3 X 500mg Metformin a month ago and replaced with 1x10mg dapagliflozin and 2x500mg Metformin since increased to 3x500 Metformin. Reason being they wanted to reassess all on gliclazide.
Reported rise in fasting level and told by doctor that I shouldn't be testing, they would do nothing until after HBa1c test late January 24. Very rude about my testing and what they said to inaccuracy of prick testing.
Am very disturbed by response and worried and rise in glucose levels being caused by playing with meds.
Type 2 diabetes since 1985.

Another high reading. 7.0. I am worried about my pancreas.
I have an MRI on Monday specifically to look at the dilated pancreatic ducts….I googled it, not good. My fingers are crossed it’s just scar tissue causing the problem. I’m truly scared.
 
Morning All Glad to be back in cooler weather as didnt deal well with swollen feet and legs, first time thats happened in the sun but the heat was too much for me. Hope you are all well and still fighting the good fight. I didnt test while away but kept a cursary look at Libre and the fish diet was very pleasing!
Today am 7.5 though woke at 5am and Libre said I was in the Five Hive after that it went straight up. Who knows…just good to be back with my clan.

8.7 on waking early after a restless night @ 3.15am.and running 10.7 now.
Happy with reading, considering I hardly slept any, but I'm sure I could get readings lower with more effort.....
penguin mum, that's a five reading in my book, well done.
Aylalake in the 6s is still cause to be happy
