What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

7.6 at 7:30.
missed posting the last couple of days which were Wednesday 6.3; Yesterday 6.9
Christmas pub lunch with family yesterday and chose the roast turkey with trimmings I did have half a roast potato but donated the Yorkshire pudding (!?) to brother in law. If anyone knows the area we went to the Five Bells in Bassingham near Lincoln. It’s worth going just to experience the spectacular Christmas decorations.

Have a fab Friday everyone x

6.8 for me this morning.

Yorkshire pudding with rare roast beef is a thing of beauty; it really doesn't belong with any other roasts - especially the Christmas turkey. (Just IMO )

Been a bit busy, so forgot to post yesterday and today. House sold yesterday:happy:, managed to get back on a horse , and sorted front room for the mismass tree to go up tomorrow:happy: and more stuff up in the loft:happy:. Also cut hubby's hair:rolleyes:. None of this activity has helped get me into the five hive....:( 6.2 yesterday and 6.8 today. Not sevens tough:happy:. Hugs to all who need them.

I just paid $45 for the hair cut

In the interests of my ongoing training for Christmas dinner I experimented with half a mince pie swimming in double cream. I also tried turnip chips cooked in chicken fat.
So I was expecting this morning’s results…
Libre 5.9
Finger prick 6.3. Broke my run of 5s but not by much.
Who can stop at 1/2 a mince pie?

I eat turnip or celeriac fries on occasion. I seem to get away with them. I just make sure those are the only carbs on the plate. What was the rise for the half mince pie with cream?

Hi All you know I am one of your biggest supporters but I am stepping away for a little while as when I had my eye injection on Tuesday I had an injury which I can’t describe. I am getting better but I am not ready to move on to normal stuff yet.

Good evening @PenguinMum. So sorry to read this. How unlucky, especially in the run-up to your grandchild's first Christmas. Take care and look after yourself, PenguinGran.

Sending virtual hugs and best wishes for a steady recovery.

Really sorry to hear you are going through the mill, with injury and eye injection.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Just get yourself back to full fitness in your own time...... Best wishes....

Well very late sharing this but a very happy 5.2 this morning. Have been travelling back from Switzerland all day with work.

As a type 1 I’ve really stayed clear of fast acting carb meals even though I bolus. I’ve been on Omnipod 5 closed loop for a month now and really been nailing down the settings to my liking.

I just wanted to share for me a mile stone!!! Breakfast honey nut cornflakes sandwiches + JAM DONUT + evening meal pizza slice starter and a great big cheese burger and fries

I wouldn't recommend my services :hilarious: I go round his head cutting everything to a finger measure (as in whiskey measure).. He's got clippers, but they don't work, I might get him some for mismas, I like the idea of buzzing over his head. $45 you say.. just adding up since covid;)
