What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Fbg I didn't take it this morning

I had nightmares all night on a long standing harrowing incident before I moved here...

My Creative reflects my feelings...

Wildlife Nighttime video
Fox & his friend - Jade at beginning & end
Jade is asleep, when the fox who is friendly and is looking at Jade. This is Foxy Loxy who has been coming into my garden for the last year and half since the trail cameras have been up..

Hug for the nightmares but thanks for sharing the creative which hopefully helped you work through some feelings in your safe place/way. Without the clue of nightmares I would probably have seen that as happy memories of a warm autumnal day. No wonder I kept being held back a year after those ink blot tests.

Reminds me of pre psychedelic tv disco, Totp, RSG, sci fi visualisation.
Groovy!
Definitely Austin Powers. Fabulous.

I tip my hat to you for the knowledge & abilities.

Way down on the task on backing up, preserving data etc

But I did buy a small hard drive back up...worked ok for a while, then went belly up one day & never worked again (common fault from the interweb, it seemed )

I don't have much, but when I needed to keep particular documents etc I too used usb sticks/keys.

I rarely back up the laptop .
Not really much on there I need that isn't in the cloud (g-drive etc)

But I'm sure I'll find something I desperately need or want is missing when it fails.

To whit my point.

Wanting to dual boot my laptop.(yes,I got a little geeky back then)
I wanted to load up Linus.

With no cd player, I had to find an external one off the web.

Worked well, if a tad slow.

So maybe an option if yours doesn't have one.
It used a usb port, if I recall...mmh

May even still have it, if it's of interest to Neil ?

Anyway.
An impressive set of skill @Annb
Who says we can't learn new tricks.
Thanks @jjraak. I'll look into that. On a more homely level, first I have to look into a new dishwasher. Don't suppose the bank will be too happy, but they did agree the permitted overdraft I asked for to cover it. Neil will take me to our local Euronics shop tomorrow after I get all my leg things done, and he has done my shopping for me. Wondering whether to get another Bosch or a slightly cheaper Beko. Don't know that Bosch are any better than any other make these days.

Even if it's a nightmare, it's also a thing of beauty Gennepher. Kind of haunting but I'm not sure if it is a peaceful place or not.

Wonder if the recent event triggered the nightmares. Smashing, moody, psychodelic piece of artwork.

6.8 this trauma filled morning!
stress unfolded from the moment I was awakened by the remnants of storm....... What ever it's name is. By the tsunami, earthquake that is known as Mrs L.
The reason, is she doesn't want to rest and its her late youngest brothers birthday. All over the place, and though trying my damnedest to placate her. It is not working today. And I'm frustrated.
As they say, no rest for the wicked?
Still working my way through the chores, been shops twice, even though it wasn't my intention. And the implied criticism, is trailing everything I do. It's one of those days that everything is wrong and my fault!
I will let you know, when it really is.

Must tell you, finished my chrimbo jigsaw, it is a sleigh ride at dusk. The diverse colours reminded me of my trekkie jigsaw of a spaceship (Enterprise) with stars, nebula and the black background. The sleigh with three people being pulled by two dark (brown/black) horses in a snowstorm, it was very difficult but passed some hours.

Gotta go, it has stopped raining, have a few minutes to myself in garden.
weather has been dreadful it hasn't been raining cats and dogs, but worse than that.....
'It's raining Men!'
by The Weather Girls.

My best wishes to you all as always.

Still got the bruises from where I suggested replacing ours with a younger model ....;)
Reminds me of one time my hubby decided to dismantle the washing machine (was making a clunking noise), he suspected something was stuck in the the system. I went out for an hour came back and it was in pieces on its side, drum out on my worktop! The culprit was little ones sock! He put it all back together bit by bit and it is still working 15 years later! Amazes me how he can dismantle stuff and remember how to put the bits back the right way. He is good like that, with life too!

6.6 this morning by the way. I have been skipping breakfast since Christmas eve and have found I am not hungry at all, even by late afternoon. I have had to lure myself to eat something as it just feels weird not to eat. Not sure why its suddenly happened but it wasn't intentional as I normally cannot fast. I seem to be running off something but not sure what :bored:

Hi,
Been sorting all the admin I can and had a successful day.
One thing out standing my quality A5 diary came yesterday and it was useless £9. It started last July and finishes next June They are pulling my leg and won't let me tell them and say they can't replace it and I haven't got a printer ATM to print labels. :) I did ring the distribution people and they couldnt do anything they, should not have put a note in saying how helpful they were.. it was flannel.

I had a problem letter from the Newcastle this am so I contacted them. Later I contacted Carlisle and it was not a problem they had had my nominated bank years ago and Carlisle had my details.

If you don't watch them would have you running round like a blue bottomed fly on a false premise!

It started off with a false premise and no reference and the woman at Newcastle was not English and not polite

I had to ring off to stop wasting my time cos she kept reiterating the same question.

I'm curious as to what it is that you guys are all storing that requires space and backups? I can see the digital art and video need space. No criticism/judgement I'm just genuinely curious - just broad categories will do. I have one google sheets workbook and a few docs plus a few Youtube playlists saved in the cloud.

Good late afternoon fellow posters and painters.

Blood sugars this morning were a straight 8.0 hey ho.

Unfortunately now for a bit of bad news concerning Loretta and my old pals Chaos and Mayhem, posters from a few years ago might remember them.

Now Loretta has gone into hiding, the anti anti woke brigade have ganged up her, so much for supposed professed woke tolerance.

Now an update on my old pals Chaos and Mayhem.
They are currently into their 4th year of a 1 year prison sentence with very little chance of parole, the prison governor and parole board are not happy with the antics they are getting up to. Any strict regime has its weaknesses and those two know just how to exploit them, causing more problems much to the amusement of their fellow inmates.

Time to sign out, stay safe all.
