What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Actually you were my inspiration: I thought if you could do it (and you did), so can I. I just need to stay here or hereabouts.
Hahaha thats great.
Hope I've not let you down, by 'regressing' after all that positive.
Promise I will do it again, cut the BG levels down......and soon.
I've bounced around a bit since having the Cardiac and arterial issues and leaving hospital. Feeling much stronger again now though and ready to tackle it once more.
WELL DONE Aylalake. You should feel very very proud of your achievements.
I'm inspired by you now......

Just finished a whack of shovelling. We only got about 8cm but it’s still snowing lightly. It’s minus 8 but actually I felt warm while working, it’s was very nice. Will continue after lunch.
reading this morning was 6.7. Totally baffled. Zero carbs.
Where I live, it was -1 this morning with around an half inch of snow. Feels colder though.

Don't know what's going on but FBG was 5.2 this morning against 5.3 yesterday. I'm not complaining mind you! Its certainly better than a 6. something I get when I eat the same food on a different day. I'll just wait to see how long this run lasts.
Less than the last reading. Nearly into the 40s.
Yea not far off your personal best. Excellent!

Just have to add the support here is amazing and so very helpful to keeping on track. I'd be up the creek without a paddle and capsizing the boat for sure without the help I receive. Anyone who's commented, shared experiences, given advice, chatted and made me smile has helped out.
I'm not going to individualise the post, but you all know who you are. Thanks.....
Very grateful and humbled......
I was tempted by a bit and a half of hubbys Sainsburys hot cross bun at the weekend and it came back a bit me on the ****. I jumped from 6 to 12 and I felt real pants so I know where you are coming from. Cant seem to get out of the 6s at the moment and I wonder if its delayed hot cross bun shock! It was nice though........:blackeye:

Very late posting 5.2 this morning. Had my clinic appointment and my Hba1c has dropped to 39. It’s not a level caused by many lows but through consistently being in range. So far I’ve managed to be in target 87 times in the last 90 days. I’m now challenging the omnipod 5 to bring me down even further to level I find acceptable as a type 1

Evening @Ashybang. That's good to hear.

January can be a gloomy, dispiriting month. It's a bit like 3.00 in the morning really, but we're already over half way.

Can you find something enjoyable to do in the early hours when you can't sleep, like dipping into a good book, listening to the radio, listening to your favourite music, anything really to distract yourself from thoughts of food. You'll still be resting.

Avoid looking at TV though.. Device screens produce blue light, which can trick your brain into daylight activity. Likewise eating stimulates your brain as well as your digestive system, which makes it difficult for many of us to fall asleep.

You're recuperating from major surgery, so take care and look after yourself..

6.2 - Mustn’t gwumbl. Middle of night. Woke up with raging sore soft pallet infection. Couple of Strepsils, coffee and recorded “Blue Bloods” to binge-watch, phasers on Stun, so I’m in thar groove. Along with my chums here, I’m relaxing.

Oh yeah! Friday is Bin-Day, how good can it get!?
