What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

A 6.5 FBG this morning. No idea why its gone up again, had a really sound night's sleep and was no naughtier than normal. Ah, except I just remembered I had 2 sugar free Werther toffees after dinner as well as my tiny piece of 90% chocolate. I only bought them because there was a recipe that used Werthers sugar free boiled sweets' (melt them and make little nut biscuits like Florentines, sounded good) but I got the wrong sort of Werthers for the recipe. They do contain some carbs but I thought they were OK as they are polyols. Will watch that.

Enjoy the rest of your day folks.

So…I’m fasting (I can have liquids)due to a medical procedure and was super interested to see what my blood glucose would do. So, up until 11 am my levels were totally normal for me, if not slightly higher than usual at about 6.3. I had a cup of broth and some homemade electrolyte jello around lunchtime and my glucose has dropped to a fairly consistent 5.3…dropping to lows of 4.9. These are numbers I rarely see. I’ve had a ton of water and am soon due to start the dreaded prep…it’s full of sucralose (seriously thought this wasn’t used any more). Wonder what will happen.
i am really hungry….24 hours until I can eat….

Hello friends.........
Had a bit of time out and time off from doing finger prick testing, Blood Pressure testing and various other health related activities.
Everything seemed to be bombarding me from all directions with regard to health and to prevent me screaming into a total breakdown, I called a halt on proceedings.
Just looked and I have 12 scheduled appointments in the next few weeks ranging from Cardiology, Cardiothoracic, Dermatology, Physiotherapy, Dentist, Mental Health/ Occupational Therapy, MRI scan appointment and GP, plus a few more in the pipeline that I can't face up to just yet, but all I can say is its a hectic time and I pulled the plug on all home testing for the past couple of weeks.
Had a lovely PM asking about my wellbeing, which I was very happy to receive.
Anyway, if I drift away for a while, it's basically me having a break from things.........

Not been testing, so I've no idea where my body is running at right now but here is my first test result in a couple of weeks.
Not been to bed yet, but about ready for a sleep, so my pre sleep 2.45am reading is BG 8.6 mmol.
I've missed you all and missed the friendly banter that puts a smile on my face every day.
I can't promise to be here most days as things are still very hectic and driving me up the wall...... but I'll keep coming back and hopefully things will settle after this mad manic period.
