What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks for the good wishes for today. 11k steps when 18 months / 2 years ago I could easily do 20k plus time on exercise bike and/or in the gym tells a tale - sadly. The days of 30k steps are over for me but thanks be to God that I had those days and all the sport. Sadly, I took that too much for granted - run before school, training and coaching (joining in) after, football, rugby cricket Friday, Saturday, Sunday - before children and the need for promotion. Hopefully those and my version of LC/Ketonomics are giving me some marginal gains now. Perhaps recalibrate and try a couple of 15k days a week if things go well. Longer days allow earlier starts and later finishes. My issues are stenosis related so the gym with seated machines (I had them) and my exercise bike (set up with playlists and various levels of rides and data displayed on screen in the garage I had converted :bigtears: ) are actually probably better than steps but aren't outdoors. I gave away the weight machine which we moved and assembled here as it was taking up bedroom 4 and #3 son plus family wanted to visit. I would use that now or at least try very hard. A gym at home, which I had before we moved (used before JKP woke up and while watching sport - also have a rowing machine), is so much easier than traveling even though the nearest one is less than half a mile away and ultra modern and cheap as these things go. Hope you relax today - your relaxing always seems to be what they call active relaxation.
20K plus steps is really impressive but actually there are huge benefits for doing a lot less steps. Actually, if I am remembering correctly, the benefits start at just 4K steps.

I think we all took our good health and capacity to be really active for granted when we were younger. It is sad that we can no longer do what we did then but we are lucky that we are still here and still enjoying life.

Had the scan this morning seemed to go well since then though had a call from the hospital and was told the scan had shown something unexpected there is a slight problem with the stent grafted for my AAA on the left side leaking slightly so am being admitted tomorrow to fix that.
Best wishes for tomorrow. Hope it goes well and sorts the problem out.

Great photo @gennepher thanks for sharing. What with all that blood earlier Genn's garden really is home to the murderous and the magnificent but then that there outdoors is and always was. Its not safe I tell ya. Stay in, keep calm and drink tea - not much peppermint or red berry tea though :D
Thank you @ianpspurs
It's fennel tea today, but tomorrow I will be trying yarrow tea. Can't get rid of this cough...

That was a good birthday present finding that out today @JohnEGreen so that it can be fixed tomorrow. Hope it all gets sorted tomorrow.

Well hope that it is an easy fix.

A nice birthday present for you mate.
Best wishes.

6.6 this Sunday, in which a lot of paintwork got wiped.

And this afternoon #7 & #8 ran me ragged playing footie, catch and running around trying to keep warm.
while dad watched the footie on the television.

Mrs L is in a good mood and making plans to get an advance on a bank loan, organise a trip, and take a long holiday. Mrs L has even announced that a car we haven't got, is going on day trips, like we did when the kids were young.
I have now realised that most of these conversations are not going to happen cos of her disabilities and the pair killers.
I have also realised that I'm agreeing with her a lot. And I've tried my whole time with Mrs L to not tell porkies and be as honest as I could. Now I'm lying my **** off!!!!!
I hate it. I hate the deceit, the misleading, the truth just doesn't work no more.
Mrs L sneaked downstairs at around 4a.m. To be ready to go the doctors. I found her asleep on the couch.
Of course no appointments.
I got her back to bed by saying, the appointment is in the afternoon and will get her up.

The grandkids helped Mrs L by playing hide and seek then pulling the curtains down. A bit of a giggle and even funnier was my attempt to fix. But I got there. Eventually.

It is so cold. No rain for a few days. Misty, cloudy, with a bit of sun now and again!
More daffs out. Grass needs a haircut but still too wet.

Apparently a politician got the whip withdrawn because he never apologised.
Never mind the islamaphobist, racist and disgusting rhetoric he used!I
Typical tories.

Good luck for tomorrow. Good that they are sorting it quickly.

I am disappearing down rabbit holes at the moment.
I am creating an actual painting art space and for my post cards. And that is in progress. Consequently I will be posting daffodils for a wee bit longer.
So creative is daffodils.

Clear blue skies here.

Time for a cuppa c(__)

Have your best kind of day...

Good morning from a clear, dry but cold as charity (what's that all about? this, apparently) start here in L.A. Yesterday went well thanks be to God - all clear and no sedation so quick and easy. Just an over cautious consultant following an odd finding on MRI - they happen apparently Still 40 hrs fasted, no fbg taken but a kg down from Weds this morning. @JohnEGreen best wishes for today. As said, these things are best found and dealt with as soon as possible. Message for us gentlemen. None of these tests are fun but I'd advise anyone to take them if offered/advised. I'll never know if my cancer could have been picked up earlier and dealt with had I asked for regular MRIs on my back but ..... The last week has been challenging in many ways (cameras front and back door :doctor: ) but thanks be to God and the professionalism and genuine love of CUH staff - overwhelmingly a polyglot of everything the shrill populists (who are they really popular with?) dog whistle against. No longer subtly and merely to make me blame and even hate others because their own mad ideas have been a disaster and blame needs to go elsewhere. Their cynical spite is neither in my name nor anywhere in Christianity. Enjoy your Monday: mine will involve normal tea (with almond milk obs) and food but not all my regular high fibre just yet.

Good morning everyone from what looks to be another smasher of a day here on the West coast. A drive down to Morecambe yesterday for a sunny walk down a very long prom. 7 miles in total. Off home today, we have grandparent duties later in the afternoon. Art bit - a tree near the house, well part of it. All the best for today @JohnEGreen and hope you all have a pleasant day. I need some koffy.

Pleased for you that things went well yesterday and yes, if offered/advised - take the tests.

@dunelm7 miles is impressive - how's the back?. Safe journey home, enjoy the grandchildren and thanks for sharing the art. @gennepher keep sharing the daffs especially Friday. Final piece of anti Populist sentiment/logic. CUH is part of this sprawling complex which is the essence of the high tech, cutting edge, prestige hub "they" would have us believe Britain develops and runs tout seul. Inconveniently for them the reality is the money, brains, staff and skills are overwhelmingly not British - even the Govt money is borrowed, let's be honest it is like a home improvement loan/mortgage extension - but the benefits are symbiotic the very essence of a body: the body of Christ made so, so real imho. Abraham's seed as promised.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and the aliens that might be watching us, analysing everything we do and say, I say to them get a life. Not only, but also Mrs J, me, me’s and myself would like to be the first to wish you all a happy Christmas.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.7

Unsupervised is the key word for today, mischief and other such things are well into the planning stage.

It is now time the walrus said to talk elsewhere of other things, but firstly I must go down to the sea again, the lonely sea and the sky, I left my shoes and socks there, I wonder if they are dry. @dunelm
@gennepher I like daffodils and welcome to this thread @parasthackral .Lastly best wishes to those having medical procedures.

Bye bye.
