What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning all. Nothing useful to report on my T2 or events dear boy, events but I enjoyed the football and family meal yesterday. @dunelm and @gennepher thank you for sharing your art. @JohnEGreen I hope progress is being made on the correct dose of warfarin so you can go home. Enjoy as much of Monday as possible.
Thanks @ianpspurs

6.7 this morning.
Boy didn't it rain again yesterday, all day?. Not good when entertaining the grandkids.
It does seem as tho winter won't end in the not so dark and not so dangerous Mercia. Unless you are a tory.
Mrs L 's vases are full and it is very flower shop like by the fireplace.
Chores are plentiful with the shops and hopefully a tidy up in the garden.
Also made a curry and prepared chicken for tea, breasts from the butchers, with toms and and eggs.
Hopefully a quiet evening relaxing.

My best wishes to you all as always!

Artwork brilliant.
Thanks @Lamont D. Rain and water - I have been told that the tide took the fence from the newly refurbished pub yesterday - 3rd time since it was “refurbished” by the pub chain last year!

Good morning everyone from what appears to be a bright and beautiful start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. A two hour journey turned into three hours early yesterday morning thanks to “essential” roadworks laid out in a perfect ambush pattern to trap those who knew other routes. Still, the funeral of a cousin went splendidly. The music of Led Zeppelin, Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli were played, poems were read, speeches made and the remainder of us cousins and second cousins made the most of gathering together as well as remembering the departed. Life goes on and a niece has announced the spark of new life. Art bit - pigment powder on very wet paper left at an angle - see what happens. Hope your day doesn’t involve more rain. I am already in the middle of a smashing koffy brew.

I love these sketches
Thank you @dunelm

5.5 this morning. Am sitting in Costa Coffee in Norwich. My dentist check up is at 8
30am and I got here early to avoid the horrendous rush hour.

After this dentist I will wander around the shops then classes start at 12.30pm.

Not often I get the chance to have a lovely wander around Norwich City centre.

Morning all on somewhat of a groundhog day here in L.A. - and this is meant to be one of the driest areas of the country. Like a metaphor for the national mood these days. Even the weather seems to have given up all pretence these days. Rudimental my dear Watson. Don't think any regular here is living through Ramadan but for all that are - especially in Gaza and other war torn zones - thoughts and prayers with you. @dunelm thank you for sharing what I choose to see as a life giving waterfall. Glad the funeral went as well as they can and the extended family is expecting a new member. My ears still hurt from hearing an elderly man/life coach/motivational speaker tie himself in knots trying to give younger people life advice by making a distinction between a choice and a decision. I now fully understand the phrase word salad. Four grandchildren/great grandchildren to collect and feed later so both cars and 3 child car seats, get there and park up early with a travel mug of tea/coffee are needed. The trade off is ineffable love :woot: :woot: If y'all feel an even remotely similar blessing today I'm so pleased for you. Heaven in the ordinary - not complicated.

An eclectic mix....nice

Although a solemn affair, good to meet up with the more distant family.

The circle of life, indeed.

Congrats to niece .

And a riot of colours in that painting.

Likey likey...

Fbg 6.8

My android pixel phone is not charging up this morning, dead as a doornail... the lead and plug are charging up other things, but not my phone. I'll give it a new lead and plug and leave it to sit for awhile. Ignore it.

All I can think of is what about my WhatsApp messages. I know they are backed up by Google but you need to get back on the device it was backed up on, don't you?

Wildlife nighttime camera
That menace Pa Badger is at the swing cloths again...
1 min 18 secs

Creative...a drawing from the cafe again, fortunately I had transferred the pixel phone drawings to my iPad mini.

Will I need a new phone? I am being upgraded with my cochlear speech processor later this year, and I would need a phone that is compatible with the cochlear speech processor for the app, the remote, and streaming etc. There are two options and one is very expensive...

I so badly need a nap now, so a cup of tea and I'm going to have a sleep and then the world will be so much better...

Have your best day for you...

Likely not the same, but Lauren's iPhone does that occasionally.

Fluff & debris inside charging port means cable doesn't sit properly....so no chargee.

Online it was suggested cutting one of those stick like ear cotton bud things in half, at a diagonal angle, and use to scoop out fluff inside charging port.

Surprising how much fluff came out, but it is just thrown in her bag most days.

Other then that, I've always found a good Google finds someone who's had the same issues and ways to fix it.

I'd be surprised if it's actually the hardware tbh.

Good luck.

Thanks very much @jjraak
I'll try that.
This is the first time in about three years it's actually rundown completely. I always put it on charge overnight and I forgot last night.

Me, me’s and myself would like to say good morning all, but…

Mrs J and myself were discussing facial recognition and the fact that Mrs J uses it on her tablet thingy.
It’s ok to think “ and the camera still works after you’ve used facial recognition “, but it’s not wise to say it out loud.

Mrs J has informed me the ambulance is on its way and apparently I fell down the stairs. I consider myself lucky, Mrs J has a kill at a glance chip installed, but refrained from using it today, perhaps Mrs J is saving me for another day.

As for blood sugars this morning, well it looks like most of my blood is on the floor.

I normally end on the phrase stay safe all, I wish I had…..

Oh dear. That sounds nasty. Stairs are difficult things to have in your house, whatever your age or condition. To a degree they can keep you fit but on the other hand they can cause problems. Hope you are soon fixed up but in future, do take care and hold on to a handrail or somesuch whenever negotiating them.
