What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

The one LC item I missed more than anything while we were away was my new Biona organic crunchy peanut butter which has a little bit of sea salt in it. Since childhood I have hated any food with salt in but surprisingly I really love this peanut butter.
Welcome news @Krystyna23040. That could be just the ticket to treat your leg cramps.

No tar or feathers?
Steady on @Lamont D. There's no need to put ideas in their heads.

Besides, you might wish to hear them out ... or it could be your neighbour's rather attractive gardener seeking to borrow milk?

We used to get Tory door-knockers in this Tory stronghold.

These days, I have a green poster on my front door. It reads "We're voting Green"
Nobody disturbs us.

Saturday's FBG 4.4 mmol/L on waking at 6.00 am.

Creative...a man walking in front of the car, I was watching him approach. He seemed half suspicious of me. He was striding, holding two phones and a packet of biscuits. He did not have that smile, my drawing finger had wandered into his face and I realised instantly I was not going to have time to do the rest of him. As it was, he had gone past by the time I drew his legs, and so I did that from memory...

Have your best day...

Good morning everyone on a splendidly sunny start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. Bees are buzzing about, birds are chirping and the flow of blood from my finger can pride itself for a nanosecond with only 5.2 gallons of sugar per cubic yard. I have already thrown those curtains wide, opened windows and doors and am now sat patiently for the temperature to rise and my ankles to swell in the heat - oh pleasure of pleasures, oh joy of joys. Took a pair of boot to the cobblers yesterday for some heal and soul work. He carefully explained that these modern pieces of footware may have nice leather uppers but it would be £40 to fix the applying undercarriage. They didn’t cost much more than that so I will just wear them out. Serves me right for buying a “bargain”. Art bit - a couple of trees. Hope you all get a slice of sunshine (the posh southerners get a tranche).I shall finish my koffy and go for a walk down to the beach through the beech trees.

Brilliant sketch - maybe he thought you were about to mug him for his phones and crisps.

I live a few minutes from the centre of town, give minutes more through the tunnel to the city.
But the green space surrounding my home is decent with plenty of birdlife. Constant birdsong during the day. And I am aware that there must be similar areas around you.
Do you have to move, mate?
I am 85 on friday with Marjorie in 80s no family near by we should have made this discussion a long time ago but put it off. Now I can't drive it will be forced on us.Two grown daughters 130 miles away can't help.
The church has be a great help but it can't go on.

Yes, I think that you are right @LivingLightly .

It will be so nice not to have to take the teaspoon of salt in water before I go to bed - which is really yuk.

I have never forgotten what one doctor told me some years ago, that an ultra low salt diet was as harmful as a high salt diet. He said 'don't forget that your heart is also a muscle'.

Hugs for the forced change for you @lindisfel
But on the positive side, you now know what your needs are for when you make that move, so you can plan accordingly.

We made the difficult choice to move a couple of years ago. I hope that you can find somewhere that will give you some happiness and joy. I find that my bus pass is a very good asset.

Congratulations on your upcoming birthday it’s sad that such a choice has been forced upon you but sometimes change can be seen as a new adventure and at least in town services will be more accessible if you no longer can drive there are some pretty good mobility scooters available that have quite long ranges and some that can carry two people so you would still be able to get out and about.
Best of luck with your scan and hope you get a good result.

John
