What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Yamas

No meter, so no testing .

After a swim in the hotel pool
(Just us)...and a little bit of massage via the pools filtration system .

We hit molyvos.

It's not game of thrones, but it so could have been.

A tiring day, so a run back in the car to an easy night at our favourite bar, and a very decent takeaway on the veranda.

While Lauren popped to the loo, this gorgeous cheeky one invited itself to make it a "table for three, garçon "...

Loving it

Dear little soul. Irresistible @jjraak
Good night all.

Wednesday's FBG 4.4 mmol/L on waking at 6.00 am.

Fbg 6.7

Nighttime wildlife video
Fox & Cat (the fox is eating bits of fatballs dropped by the birds on the bird feeders)
31secs

Creative... I watched this man and his dog approach in the distance, in my passenger side mirror, as I'm sitting in the car drinking my tea. I started drawing him (one line drawing with my finger not leaving the iPad screen), as he passed me but I ran out of time when he went round the corner, and I had not done his dog, and so a squiggle had to suffice...

Sun is out, and I need a nap. I am getting old...

I'll finish my cuppa first...

Have your best day...

Good morning everyone on a bright and beautiful start to the 80th anniversary of D-Day here in the dark and dangerous north. We, Mrs Miggins and I, will be joining with other folk at the cenotaph at 1030 to remember, each in our own way. I shall be pondering upon the foolishness of humans, lessons not learned and my maternal grandfather who jumped into the sea and waded ashore on Gold beach somewhere near Arromanches. Later, a veterans dinner inspired by the crazy WW2 concoctions of Marguerite Pattern. Art bit - not today but the menu for tonight is below. Hope you have a peaceful day and a good dollop of sunshine. Now, the important process of making koffy.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.1

Another busy day at the coal face ov pandering to whims ov Mrs J, whose operation on her broken wrist yesterday went well. The medics reset the break using a plate and screws.

Now it is time Mrs J says to start her day, stuff my day.
Planting her under the patio is not an option……….
Yes dear coming…….

Fbg 6.5

Sun is out but it is icy cold out

Nighttime wildlife video
Badger - a different badger (his tail is different) he has a drink
26secs

Creative...one line sketch, my finger (the pen, so to speak) does not leave the tablet screen until I have finished the person. In this case, the lady was eating one of those wrapped bars, she had broken a piece off and was holding it in her right hand. Her body was slightly twisted, so her legs look a bit funny, because she had stopped walking and was looking at the advert pasted on the wall. My finger had lifted off the screen because I had finished drawing her. But she was still stood there, and so I put my finger back on the screen to draw the advert in the same one line manner. I reached for my cup of tea (I am sitting in my car), and she was still stood there. Maybe she was thinking of something.

Many years ago, I used to sit in my car for a bit in Bold St, Liverpool, and watch people. There were a lot of varied interesting characters, and I used to write a story, only in my head, about the people...it might be a hand gesture or the way the body language of two people together was, and this triggered my imagination...it was an interesting interlude...

Time for a nap. Been awake since early.

A cuppa herbal tea first.

Have your best day.

Oh dear @alf_Josiah
Not a good idea to plant Mrs J under the patio, I believe that species propagates prolifically....

Interesting menu @dunelm
Brings back memories...

In remembrance of those that never made it home.

Too soon to leave this earth
How could all your work be done
Ash to ash and dust to dust
Seemed to me you just begun

When grief invades my soul
There's comfort in a prayer, I find
Though these candles honor you
They burn for those you left behind

Chorus:
I'll sing for you because I need to
Right now this is all I know
You always said you wanted me to
So I will sing you home

Know that you will live
On the lips of those who knew
What it was you had to give
And what it was they learned from you

This is my prayer for you
And maybe someday I will know
If it helped your journey home
Or if it helped me let you go

Chorus:

We're born unto this earth
Generations one by one
Ash to ash and dust to dust
There is nothing left undone

6.5 this morning.
Was really hungry when I went to bed last night as yesterday was a really busy and active day. I didn't give in and eat anything.

Fell asleep really quickly and during the night had a really vivid dream that I was at the Westleton Crown and eating a huge dinner. It felt so real.

I woke up not hungry at all. Perhaps a really good way to save on the grocery bill - imaginary food.

5.9 at 04.00.

Neil tells me my laptop is too old and won't take the upgrade needed to allow access to some websites. Darn! He recommends buying a new, very small PC which has double the size of memory as this laptop. I already have a big, flat screen that I bought years ago and a keyboard. I hardly used them because we made changes in the house when Neil came home to live and it has been sat on my old desk ever since. The actual PC (a tower type) is out of date, but he rest should work. I rather like that idea because I really liked that flat screen - the previous monitor was a massive CRT, bought for doing desktop publishing so it was bigger than any TV we had had before then - or even afterwards. It's still there as well and takes up a whole corner of the room on its custom-built desk. Really it should go, I suppose but Neil doesn't seem to be in any hurry to reduce the size of his computer hoard.

Thanks @JohnEGreen for the words...

Afternoon all.

Vacation from testing going well.

Benefiting from the stress levels being dialled down a notch or three.

Lunch at skala konis beachfront.

Lauren set her sights on meeting a local celebrity dog
'brian' who seemed unfussed by the adulation .

And a storm is brewing which will be rather welcomed by many after the last few days.

For now, Yamas, my island bound amigos.
