What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good afternoon everyone and happy bin day - attempting to catch up but the clock is ticking. 2 x temp fillings yesterday and bank loan taken out for the big day at the beginning of July for some seriously costly drilling and pot hole filling. Hope they do the overbanding this time round. Art bit - a tree!
A great tree @dunelm

Hope you get good news when you receive the results of your tests. Really annoying that the MRI machine broke down.
As it's a new machine - I have to wonder if the MRI scanner broke down due to operator error?

Arternoon arter lunch/dockey/snap/nosebag event or any other regional variation. @gennepher thank you for sharing another splendid creative. You spoil us Ma'am. @dunelm thank you for sharing the latest art. @JohnEGreen hug for the car parking debacle. @Krystyna23040 good news on the shingles jab. @Lamont D I fear you are over optimistic in expecting the trough to be removed. Like many traders/spivs/ barrow boys with plummy accents they are merely regrouping - a longer term version of this

Meanwhile, would it, could it., should it be coming home? Or perhaps the US Open is your thing? Are you orf to SW19? Do remember to send that blazer to the dry cleaners in preparation for Henners. Take care y'all.
I have not watched golf for a while. Though I have been to an open a few times. My first in the seventies as it was in Royal Liverpool. Not in Liverpool. Birkdale and Lytham and again Hoylake in '14.
Hate tennis, though a family member (our Dags) and friends work there.

I wouldn't be caught dead at a regatta just a posh way to get ****** in the **** flowing past the estates!
Wouldn't mind going the tests or a T20 but my eldest is busy and plays weekends.

I don't think we will win the euros.
The defence looks short of enough quality. And the manager doesn't have the know-how how to get the right players to gel into a force to score the goals needed.
There is enough quality in the attack, but can the manager be tactically astute to do it. I doubt it.
I'm not convinced I have seen enough to be winners.
Lack of passion perhaps or belief in the system, formation, tactics, each other?

Any plans yourself?

Two pics.....

One titled "can you see it yet".

Others is "phew"

No testing ....it's a holiday
But i know I have to knuckle down once back.

One zoom with anesthetist first Tuesday back then
If all good, surgery on eye the Monday after ....eek

Love & peace all.View attachment 68255View attachment 68256
Wild horses - probably The Flying Burrito Brothers but could be The Rolling Stones.

I was really pleased to only have very slight side effects from the vaccine as the list of possible side effects the nurse warned me of were not very nice.

Very busy days atm.
House is going on the market, but we are not in a hurry to sell so not a lot of special primping happening. That will mostly be because of the impending visit from Mum who will be arriving very late next friday EEEK!!! (along with brother and SIL, who will stay one night, then leave Mum here while they have a romantic interlude by the sea, celebrating an unknown number of years married. They will return on Sunday again for one night, departing the next day with Mum.
However it seems likely that the house photographs will be taken before then. Maybe even as soon as Monday! Double Eeek!!! Of course the weather has turned dull and wet today. But we managed to finish cutting both the grass and the enormous high and long Leylandii hedge before it started.
Because as always there is the possibility of No Sale, am still having to do some things in preparation for next year in the garden. Taking cuttings and potting up saplings.
Meanwhile a friend has asked MrSlim to help with her house repairs, there is a bit of time pressure here as she needs them done by July 7th. Not simple repairs either. Some tricky plumbing and several doors to be repaired and then rehung.
Worked out the years: it's 37.
I need to work out an itinerary and meals.
My brother has offered to bring anything we want from the UK - can he please bring my granddaughters? No. Ok how about a bottle of shampoo then?
Am I panicking? Just a bit.

I was offered the shingles vaccine a couple of years ago. I had always believed that if you had never had chickenpox, you couldn't develop shingles, nevertheless, I accepted the vaccination - just in case. A few months later, I did develop shingles. It was not a very serious dose of it though - painful while it lasted but very limited in extent and only lasted about 10 days. I still don't understand how I could get shingles without ever having chickenpox.
That's right @Annb. Shingles is the reactivation of a viral infection contracted earlier in life and hithertoo lying dormant in your nervous system.

Perhaps you were exposed to chickenpox in childhood without knowing. It is very contagious, but can affect adults and children quite differently. I can remember my classmates running around as normal with just a skin rash which itched a bit, while their parents were laid up in bed!

Thursday's FBG 4.6 mmol on waking at 6.00 am

7.2 this morning not sure why as had a pretty low carb day yesterday though did have chicken shawarma in a wrap for dinner the wrap was low carb only 2 grams bought at grate expense from Amazon so blood sugar at bed time was quite low.
The memes on Rshi’s depraved oh sorry meant deprived childhood are coming thick and fast on Facebook.
I think I will be voting labour next month the alternatives are 30p Lee or the independent candidate a local councillor who is due in court next year facing 12 charges of malfeasance and fraud we had 5 of our independent councillors arrested late last year on various offences.

Wet night after a short dry spell, must go out and discover how much the limaces and escargots have eaten. Weather disappointingly is likely to be dull, cool and wet right up to the end of next week. Have suggested Mum bring some warm clothes.
It's cloudy and cool, very wet, but I hung the washing out anyway- the weather ap assures me will not rain before lunch. Hmm, not sure I believe that. French conversation is cancelled this morning due to nanny goat problems .

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.

Blood s sugars this morning were 6.7

It’s all go at the coal face ov caring for I can’t do anything with my arm in plaster and a sling Mrs J

To which me, me’s and myself replied “ Of course you can, you can still moan, nag and invent tasks for me “
It’s amazing how accurately Mrs J can throw things with her other arm…..

Stay safe all, wish I did by keeping my thoughts to myself.
I’ve fitted a catch on the knife draw.

Good morning everyone on an all things bright and beautiful start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.6 this am but probably fake news. Art bit; cor blimey, a tree, but not ‘god blind me’ - who thinks of this stuff? More importantly, how do I know so much rubbish? Hey ho, hope you have a good day. Every event has two handles, if one drags you down, use the other one. Best finish my koffy.
