What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

7.0 and not surprising.
isn't life noisy when you need sleep.
I was hoping for a lie in, so I could catch the first results later tonight.

I certainly hope that there is a change voted in tonight.
I couldn't go through another day of these ........(add expletives) charlatans.

Not long now!
Enjoy your Thursday.
I've been in training for some time @Lamont D, but it hasn't worked. Attended our local counting of the vote, but accepted a lift home after the verification and listened to radio updates instead.

Thursday's FBG 4.7 mmol on waking at 6.00 am.

Good morning all from a sunny L.A. where it is July 4th with all the historical ramifications from 1776 and today - a day early for 1945 but could even eclipse that. @dunelm thanks for sharing the art and enjoy the day. Having read the final draft of #1 son's Msc thesis on supply chain sustainability I know more than I need about the issue or is good for my peace of mind. I'm with the woke even more now. @JohnEGreen the implications for SMEs from Scope 3 reporting are staggering and they are neither seeing it nor preparing well. The silence during this campaign is gross negligence. Anyhow, enjoy Thursday. I'm having more tea, trying to stop multi layered dressings roaming around my body doing more damage and looking forward to the fireworks later.
Thank you @ianpspurs

Still dog tired...

Nighttime wildlife videos
A Vixen A Fox & Two Badgers & A Cat
It looks like the lactating vixen is visiting nightly at the moment. She won't find much food here, apart from the scatterings of bird peanuts from the bird table, and pieces of fatballs fallen from the bird feeders, and maybe occasionally Cat Jade's supper if she didn't turn up...
24secs

Creative...giving drawing a rest for a few days or so because I am falling behind on my wildlife videos and need to play catch up. So, in the meantime, a few kaleidoscopes from my garden for the next week...
First one is a glass ball garden ornament...

Time for a cuppa and a nap...

P.S. It is my birthday today!

Belated birthday wishes and thank you for your splendid art

Good morning pop pickers on an all things bright and beautiful if windy start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.8 this a.m. and I expect that some folk will be viewing the day through rose tinted glasses and as someone in the blue team said last night as he fell on his sword, today will be like “a bunch of bald men arguing over a comb.” Enough of that transient stuff. The spectacular for today is the news that we will be going to witness the graduation ceremony of The Girl In The Bubble and teeny chums from pre-school. I got the whole inside story yesterday afternoon; “you shake the hand of the teacher grandad, get your certificate and then sit back down on the benches.” - No mention of the cost of hiring gowns or where the alumni booze up will be taking place afterwards. I suppose we will be footing the bill for graduation lunch and then probably an ice cream 99. Art bit, this has taken a bit of time. I hope your day is a sunny one and that folk in Scotland especially will feel OK about what comes next. My cafetière is calling out for a refil.

Congrats for the GITB @dunelm

Great Art Bit...

Morning all on a ch-ch-ch-changes day here in L.A. To be sure this isn't the Kingdom but in the meantime we can have some probity and competence while we wait. My aunt will be laid to rest today but no funeral. I had a long conversation with her daughter and completely agree with the way she and her sister will organise things. Very tasteful and dignified final journey along a route passing all the important places in her life with only the closest family including her only living sibling. Burial next to her husband and other daughter. Sad demise and part of an enquiry into care home deaths. Later I must report to CUH - Addenbrookes - to be bled, weighed and told, well this is a mess Mr P - No whatsit Sherlock. But we can continue managing the major issue again starting next Thursday. @dunelm thanks for sharing the very solid wall - not even Sir Ed D will break through that. Enjoy graduation - Ede and Ravenscroft are very busy I happen to know. While that grinning Jackanapes Farage is still about there will be a nasty edge to life but the Greens have as many seats so keep him off our TV screens please. Enjoy your own funky Friday - I need more tea. God bless and keep you all now and always.

Nighttime wildlife video
Badgers & Foxes & Cats
41secs

Creative...Kaleidoscope...using Laboscope...from my garden...from my rubber mats on the ground (that stop me slipping) with weeds growing through, and the bit of white in the middle is white dead nettle flowers, and some dried twigs which make the middle pattern...

Got to play catch up today...

But a nap first (was awake half the night!) ...and a cuppa...

Saw one of the nighttime black cats in the daytime for the first time yesterday, he has been on the nighttime videos for months and often sits at the other end of the swing to Midnight. He was a big cat, but had a tatty battle scared face, and looked starving. He looked at me and did the slow blink thing, and I got off the swing to feed him, but a black ball of fury (Midnight) came charging along and said 'ABSOLUTELY NOT' and sent him packing...
Somehow I will try to feed him later today...but the birds, blackbirds, and that magpie can get Jade's breakfast before she turns up. It's dried biscuits in a dish if the cat is not immediately present in daytime, but wet food if the cat comes and personally asks for it.

Have a great day....
