What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning All, I am becoming quite jealous of you, reading about Gym visits and walks etc, sadly neither figure particularly highly in my life due to long term medical issues (Bi Lateral Below Knee Amputee and also Essential Tremor sufferer). That said, we lead as active a life as possible and spend as much time as we can in the garden, weather permitting, or working on the interior of our delightful cottage, despite its somewhat suicidal tendencies. LOL

Strange things have been happening with Pin Prick readings over the last few months, following surgery for Deep Brain Stimulation my Blood Sugars are behaving better than they had ever previously done? I was always the wrong side of 8.5 mol but since surgery I am constantly around 4.5 to 5.6? No one seems to have a clue why this should be, but I'm not complaining, believe me. We live on a very Mediterranean based diet and that seems to have finally reduced everything, even the waist!!

Anyway, "Hi" and lovely to meet you all.
Greetings @Rob_Stobbs. Welcome to our forum and this FBG thread. We're pleased you could join us.

Morning All 7.4 today. @Bcgirl like you I have one ice cream a year when in Andalucia and we always visit Ronda for a day and there is a wonderful Gelato shop in the old square. It makes it quite an event for me, my flavour of choice is coffee! Glad you enjoyed yours. @Rob_Stobbs welcome and it must be frustrating trying to get exercise though for me gardening is always a workout. Your cottage and garden sound delightful. Happy Friday, stay dry!

6.2 this morning. Oh, this late summer weather has been spectacular! Hot days, cool nights….perfection
have 20,000 steps (this is the best walking weather) and did abs, back and triceps at the gym. Tomorrow is yoga…yippee.
easing off on blood sugar testing…honestly it’s just so steady that it’s really a waste of money to be testing. Will test, of course, if I feel weird or if I’m eating something different.
