What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Back into the 7's this morning with 7.5 but I am telling myself not to be disheartened because I am getting numbers in 6's and 5's during the day c/o Libre . It is going to be expensive buying these but worth it because of the information it is giving me .

Hi you guys, I'm back in the fold after being AWOL for a few pages. FBG 5.8 this morning. The good news is I finally got my blood results back. I have been anxious all year and could see bloods gradually rising, so was concerned about what my results would be. They were not brilliant having risen a couple of points, but I'm still in remission - yeh! I am so pleased and relieved. Hope you are all keeping well and being good

6.4 at 6:30. Had a few walnuts to see if that would stop the rise. Nope, up to 8 at 7:54 .

Went for a 30 minute walk, now down to 6.5 at 9:55.

Checked this morning for no good reason. 6.0, as expected.
a beautiful day here, sunny and warm. Went for a hike around the cross country ski trails, we were the crowd! Upper body and walking at the gym this morning.
have an MRI of my pancreas on Friday….uggg. Fingers crossed that nothing has changed since last year, it’s always a worry.

Once you've learned and identified what affects your bg, you can stop using the libres. So yes pricy individually but the info gained is priceless and will last a lifetime. I took a few screen shots of my best and worst graphs to keep as motivation. Much cheaper than wearing a cgm all the time . I just wear one once or twice a year now to make sure I'm staying on track

I took a few screen shots of my best and worst graphs to keep as motivation. Much cheaper than wearing a cgm all the time . I just wear one once or twice a year now to make sure I'm staying on track

I was thinking along the same lines myself. Now having seen the effect ( affect ) that walking or exercising after food has on lowering my BG it gives me hope.

Morning All 8.5 today likely due to recovering from a hard fall on concrete on Monday afternoon. Nothing broken but black & blue literally all down my right side from my brow bone to my big toe. Just starting to get over the shock with lots of arnica and painkillers.

That's what mine does ..I try a snack like walnuts or a piece of cheese but the rise continues till I eat properly and or go for a walk .

6.4 at 3:05, 6.7 at 5:38, and 6.7 at 7:13.
Had breakfast at 8, so we shall see what happens.

7.2 this morning. Had hba1c blood test done this morning and result got released early - 5.3%.

Now awaiting for other 31 bloods tests results... 7 tubes. This my biggest blood tests for the first time. Mainly antibodies, autoimmune diseases blood tests and other tests.

Yes @May Mic and @mojo37. That's because you are diabetic.

Your body needs more fuel on getting out of bed first thing in the morning and your liver obliges.

Given time and a consistent LCHF lifestyle, your FBG readings should gradually fall, so the blood glucose rise will begin from a lower starting point and look less pronounced.
