What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I think my objective was to be busy but not be needed every day, in case of bad weather. Giving both front and back a splash of colour for the majority of months. And still be able to just spend an hour or two or not, just for the tidy up.tie
I'm amazed at the transformation of both front and back, from when I retired. Having a couple of bob to spend on it helps. So does a outlet that sells a huge variety at good prices. Knowing the owner helps. He played for the footie team I coached many years back at the local youth club.
I'm also amazed that I have cut the lawn less than ten times only this year. And is still short.
When I did it on the footie pitches I looked after, it was almost every week and more in July/August.
Bloody global warming/ British cold and wetting its called.

Plans are to be discussed over a cuppa over the coming months as the mass of bluebells start.
Good to read about the benefits you find in gardening. They mirror this and many other pieces on the subject. Flowers and shrubs have the opposite affect on me but mulching raspberries and pruning fruit trees gave me a rocky mountain (well virtually sea level) high but the principle, time outdoors with nature, is beneficial. Not sure how anyone in a fully urban environment has a real sense of the seasons - the nuances from day to day are very subtle. Take care and enjoy the planning.

I became a sausage trier outerer, when abroad, especially in Germany.
And I'm partial to hog the cocktail variants at buffets.

6.9 this Thursday.
#8 is being a ratbag, as I post.
Started this thread a while ago until he turned the Wi-Fi box off.

back on track now, I hope.

lots of cooking to do. Mrs L is partial to some cheese flan.
gotta go, ratbag is finding things to upset Mrs L.
I am partial to the Heck variety and the ones made by our local butcher that do not contain fillers like rusk, cat litter and ground up corks that sit, row upon row on supermarket shelves like DIY Botox filler kits. Propper Toulouse sausages are on point and the Germans and Poles make excellent sausages.

Lots going on and it must be pleasing to see your hard work bursting into colour. Even on a wet day, I like to sit facing into our garden.

#3 son's partner is Lithuanian and sources Kielbasa sausages which are very pleasant. I too like proper Toulouse - and Merguez sausages. Heck seem very salty to me but my pet hate are Cumberland which seem way too spicy. Why not just grind too much spice onto your tongue, destroy your taste buds for a day and save the money?

Yes, I do l ive in an urban environment.
However, it is no different in most modern housing in these areas.
I have a garden front and back, nice size as well.
lots of trees and gardens around here. And there are quite a few open spaces. Footie pitches out back with it's new bird sanctuary ha!!!!
not far from large houses which have huge gardens.
not too far from open countryside, the East is mainly farm land.
And then cos I live in a peninsula, there is open seas and of course the big river.
it is only about twenty minutes away at the most, as is the town centre and the city through the tunnel.
down the motorway and as @gennepher will confirm is the wild and wooly mountains and coast of North Wales.
The Cheshire countryside.
all about one hour plus away.

The tenements don't exist much no more.

Best wishes you lot.

My PC computer is situated in the bay window.
so when I get chance to do some jigsaw on my PC, I can seethe outside of my front garden.
And the road, and the neighbours and whoever comes calling.

Ah, yes the millions of different poles.
never fancied French frog sausage!!!

I'm sure I read somewhere that the awful hot dog sausage variety, sold in supermarkets best no resemblance to the original and has no nutritional value whatsoever.

no wonder the Yanks like 'em.
I think you may have confused Trump's lies about Springfield Ohio with the eating habits of the whole USA. We Brits have been known to be partial to horse meat in ready meals.

I had a steak of fine equine flesh in Antwerp.
It was different than I thought it would be.

Would not touch trump or ready meals, they are spawns of the devil!

Creative...a second photo of the postbox from a few weeks ago...atishoo, atishoo, atishoo they all fell down...and then some kaleider kaleidoscopes of it.

Night night...I am already in bed ready for sleep...

Amazing what comes out of the kaleidoscope - I particularly like the one resembling an outer world lift shaft

Good morning everyone on somewhat drying and windy start to the day after the deluge here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.3 this a.m. Rain has stopped and a good day for hanging out washing. Garden furniture had a rave last night and huddled at the bottom of the garden with several trees worth of leaves. According to Germand news, Starmer’s speech was the wurst one this year - will we ever put it to rest? It’s all pigs in blankets and that’s just in Westminster - can’t blame Specsavers at those prices. Mrs Miggins and twin are off to see a production of Swan Lake this evening - seen it before - Romeo and Juliette but like morris dancing with feather dusters. Art bit - more paint pouring - it took the best part of available daylight to dry so not minded to do more until the sun shines hot and bright - or even the other way round - or both at once - or sometime next year. Oh blast, that Annie Lennox song is being played again and with gusto! Hope your day is not like it is here, wetter than an Otters pocket again. Best get on and make more koffy.

Morning everyone from a damp and decidedly fresh L.A. Unknown fbg as sensor expired last evening and I need to evaluate the risk and reward of applying another one. There is already too much in my life over which I am powerless to influence without Libre emphasising that steroids and antibiotics add bg management to the list - risk. On the other hand, making no effort to manage bg is also a risk but is there any reward apart from feeling well at least I tried?. Libre showed clearly whatever strategies I used to control my desire to bring readings in line with trend there was a stress effect just before a reading: I always set a timer and knew when time was approaching - which rapidly fell away. @gennepher thank you for sharing the photo and kaleidoscope. @dunelm thank you for sharing the art. Today we plan to go into Newmarket - provided the earlier accident on the A14 hasn't gridlocked West Suffolk - as I need more EVOO and a marmite and cheese sausage roll is on my non-existent bucket list - risk and reward. The same butcher also sells amazing scotch eggs according to JKP. and we need meat for a family Sunday lunch. Why do most supermarkets offer meat in sizes only fit for the Borrowers - except that awful leg of lamb nonsense? Enjoy Friday - chances of cricket in St John's Wood?

5.5 this morning.
We have been lucky and avoided the rain and flooding here in central Norfolk until last night when it was like a monsoon.

I was so pleased that Mr K was the chauffeur last night as I would have hated driving back from Norwich after classes.

A rather damp walk around the park this morning, but good to get out and even better to get back in the warm with a coffee.

Morning. First time here. Am I doing this right? 6.9 this AM.

Pic is from my holiday in the North of Scotland last week.View attachment 69917
