What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning @JohnEGreen although if Libre is to be believed it isn't such a good morning yet. No known fbg for me because the point of knowing that would be what exactly? Here in L.A. both the season and I have been gifted another day but I'm afraid my report on Autumn would read must try harder. Family Sunday lunch today - lamb shoulder, very "how much?" but at least it is not that hideously over priced and inedible leg nonsense - along with some prettying up for an important photo shoot on the morrow: all is artifice these days. @Krystyna23040 enjoy Sherringham Park and hold off on the gloves, this part of the Exotic (yeah, right) East will/may see 21°C this week. Enjoy your Sunday, how can I not when the food and company will be my wheelhouse? The Little Guy© and his sister RMP Grownup© are a special blessing from God. Enjoy your own Sunday where at all possible.

5.4 this morning.
We are off to Sheringham Park shortly.
We are looking forward to a lovely walk in the sunshine. Perhaps it's time to get my warm winter gloves out and maybe my winter coat.

Hopefully the trees will be wearing their Autumn colours.

When we went to BrierleyForest Park though it was sunny it was quite cold and my hands were freezing so I have bought some new gloves and will wear them when going out from now on.

Excellent news about your tiger worms @gennepher. Eisenia fetida has a voracious appetite. You'll be able to put your vegetable peelings and kitchen scraps to good use once more!

Saturday's FBG, 4.3 mmol/l on waking at 6.00 am.
Yes @LivingLightly
And they are MY worms... descendants from 10 years ago!!!!!

Good morning everyone from a sun shiney sans temps start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.1 this a.m. and like @JohnEGreen, gloves have been included for a few days now - should I wear fingerless ones indoors and only allow a single tallow candle? A bag to pack. It’s the 0555 train in the morning to chug along to Manchester airport for a flight over to Bordeaux. Two packs of Curly Wurlys for my niece - strange what early versions of gen Z crave. Mrs Miggins needs cabin luggage (one small under seat bag and something a bit bigger in the overhead locker) - and as airlines are quick to level up - I have to have the same. I usually only have a small under seat bag when traveling alone. Grrrh! I am now an international fresh air smuggler. Art bit - probably in Northumberland. Hope your day is all inclusive. Mine comes with free refills of koffy which I am now keen to use.

Well at least you shouldn’t need your winter woolies in Bordeaux tomorrow s you can expect quite warm temperatures really enjoy the art work on here and Northumberland has a special place in my heart as my father was from Rothbury.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and those who feel they have achieved something this morning. In fact you all have achieved something, you woke up.

My blood sugars this morning were 5.0 hey ho.

What is planned for me, me’s and myself is a totally unknown. Luckily Mrs J will notify me.

Now have the best day you possibly can.

Thank you for kindly sharing your splendid art once again. That one looks suitably dry aged , at least 28 days. All the best for the travel and Curly Wurly smuggling. I thought Fredos were Gen Z's thing but they aren't a homogeneous demographic. Do you suggest copy for Emma Brockes - Friday's entry looks suspiciously familiar from your posts here. Kamala's coy but pithy analysis of Trump's mendacious word salads was wonderful, in the footage I've seen her face and mouth shape made that very clear at one point: for the non potty mouthed a T is missing - there's an emoji for that I gather :playful:

Badger investigating the swing
I had mislaid my phone, and thought I had left it on the swing, and so, around 12 midnight, I went out with a torch. But the badger had already messed up the swing and I was convinced he had taken my phone to his den and was boasting to all the other badgers about his latest acquisition...
But when I got back in bed, I found my phone between the blankets.... This is Boy Badger, born 2023.

I was up half the night trying to get this downloaded because the problems with Apple and the iPad mini etc etc

This morning even more problems with the iPad mini that crashed. I won't bore you with it all but Bluetooth now does not work at all, and as well as not being able to connect anything up to the Bluetooth like my external keyboard, the main thing is I am unable to connect up with the remote on the iPad mini that controls my cochclear implant and processor, and controls volume, base, treble etc and the most important is the sensitivity control and the directional control of the processor.

I cannot use my cochlear sound/hearing processor without this remote control which is within the iPad mini. So to use what I think is an incorrect term nowadays, I am deaf as a doorpost without this integral remote for my cochlear processor within the iPad mini.

And this iPad mini is one piece of useless junk. I should have abandoned it at the beginning of the week. And not tried so hard to get it going again. But there again if I had taken it for someone else to reinstall, I would have paid that money for nothing. There was an Apple update on it last night to the latest software, and it is that which has messed it up further and wrecked it. Many of the internal things now within the iPad mini settings do not work since the update.

Yes the iPad mini is old and it is not supported anymore by Apple because of its age but this is absolutely ridiculous considering what it cost in the first place...

When I get something to replace it, I will help it along in its death throes...

Creative... My daughter at her end in Australia was having problems at her end connecting up with me this morning. Skype does not work on her new laptop. So we tried Zoom. But the captions were bang in the middle of the screen rolling up right over her face and I couldn't see her speaking... abandoned that... Then I'm trying to download Microsoft teams for us to try that....

Finally we are up and running. And Microsoft teams has a very sensible caption that is just at the bottom the screen, so one line then it went off, then one line and then it went off.

I hate with a passion the inordinate amount of time inefficient technology has taken this week in wasting my time... and is not supporting me...

So what does the above have to do with the Creative? I was doodling in my sketchbook while I was waiting for my daughter to sort out some stuff at her end.

So Creative is a doodle ..

I am going in the garden now for some fresh air, you enjoy your day...

Thank you @ianpspurs. I have no idea where the art bit depicts but possibly Bamburgh is a likely candidate, dragged up from some memory and sent to fingers and hand. Pumpkin carving - very over rated for the age of the turnip folk.

Got to love a doodle

Could the Bamburgh inspiration be Uther/The Last Kingdom? Turnips? never mix your Baldrick's with your Uther's and anyhow which part of the country do you self identify with, that which calls a swede/rutabaga turnip or the one which calls a turnip a turnip?

Good that you had the time and means to create and share something in the midst of techageddon. Let's hope a new device of some kind can be found to help you. Are Apple devices essential for some things e.g. cochlear processor? I hope the garden gave you peace. Take care.
