Anytime I've seen that in a movie, it's because someone's forced to go on the run ...mmhh.

And of course Stallone done similar in Rambo ...mmmhh

Can't figure out which one is your reason....yet

It's the new me @jjraak
Pretty with curls.
The disguise is hiding my determined 'don't mess with me' interior.. .

Good morning everyone from a so far dull start to bin day here in the dark and dangerous north. Daylight saving time is nearly here, the last one before the budget and the prospect of it being taxed for next year. Jabs yesterday - arms feel OK - it’s the shoulders that are a bit achy. Girl In The Bubble stayed last night - her homework was to draw a Halloween costume on the outline of an undisclosed person - on her instructions we did black and purple stripes, claws on the hands and then lots of spots to produce the Halloween monster called Mr Measles - don’t let it touch you! Wonder what her teacher will think about that - well it’s novel. Art bit - Chinese ink on wet watercolour paper. Hope that some goodness comes your way today - probably lots of it inside you but don’t forget to vogue. Koffy, best make koffy.
Beautiful Art bit @jjraak
I am loving this new series...

No sleep at all last night. No idea why. Got up at 03.00 and sat at this keyboard, just writing down musings and hoping to tire myself out sufficiently to go back to bed. Didn't work. Took some painkillers at 06.00 and hoped that might help, as it usually does. Nope! So here I am, waiting for the shower room to heat up sufficiently to use it. Now, of course, my eyes are heavy. Have ro keep going though, I have 2 appointments today - one for legs and then another with the Diabetes nurse who will want to check my HbA1c. At least, she should. It'll have gone up since last time anyway.

BG was 10.5 at 06.00.
Hugs @Annb
I hope you can catch it with some naps during the day ....

Pleased for her that the old girl is doing OK
Somehow missed the original post, but reading back am pleased for you that Poppy appears recovered and you have treatment to hand if she should have another episode.

Morning all from what has become a very bright and sunny day here in L.A. - as good as one could reasonably expect for late October in the UK. No known fbg which means I won't need to guess which of the pattern of interacting factors (a phrase beloved of chief examiners of A level and GCSE history) may or may not have impacted that number this morning but never again. Ox cheek casserole with baked keto dumpling type crust yesterday evening was pleasant enough. This evening's meal should be based on a pleasant pheasant have been JKP has gone to a spa day at Mr Ballentine's Peterborough outpost, MIL is abed so myself and the dogs, well me really, are cricket watching and have been for hours. @jjraak thanks for very kind comments. Modern technology and my old career help. As I have said, I don't really take photos and I’m certainly not a visual learner but I do have a document with hundreds of hyperlinks to text I feel is useful or important. @Annb hug for the sleepless night and a wish that leg and A1c day goes well. @JohnEGreen hug for managing warfarin dosage versus supply. @dunelm thank you for sharing that art which I particularly liked. Good that you worked with TGIB on her homework. My reaction to one so young being involved in the modern version of Halloween made me wonder if I'm too "professionally Christian" - vestige of the viscerally anti Christian Teacher's Association i fear. My apologies should that feel like a waste of your time or absolute waffle. If so,move right along and enjoy your Thursday anyhow - COYS.

Am amazed myself. Now need to get over the next hurdle- they have ten days to change their minds.
All here hope that doesn't happen and all the stress lately leads to the outcome you want. Relax with a biscuit or two today, purely on behalf of Mr Slim and it would be rude not to offer the builder a biscuit or two and even more impolite not to join him.

Sat at home awaiting workmen.

This caught my eye on my feeds, thought I'd share.

Car related so may not be of interest to some, but for anyone who doesn't know xiaomi is a huge tech company in china.

Makes loads of stuff.
I buy their fitness trackers,
Great value.
Almost bought one of their e-scooters & use one of their phones...so a little impressed by their products.

This guy is rated for his e-car reviews, a little dry, but very knowledgeable.

Xiaomi's first venture into e vehicles could just be the one to take down Tesla.

It's so good a ford CEO has one and raves about it .

Anyway, here are the links if anyone is interested.

Might be a name to remember in the coming years.

Thank you @ianpspurs. I don’t go for this over rated, rip off, buy all this fun tat type Halloween nonsense but as it was homework and we could, we invented Mr Measles - far more scary than the make believe rubbish on offer.

The whole linking with the Celtic Occult is what I find troubling not the tat. In general I/we tried to steer our boys into these kind of activities. A bit of apple bobbing and pumpkin carving - no faces - is fine for a light theme.. My issue now is if I talk to or how far I go with grandchildren having heard feedback from their dads on how that went down. I think it was probably counterproductive but we tried.

Good happy national bin day Morening fellow posters and painters.

Blood sugars this morning were 4.8, remedial action taken ie went to the local cafeteria for a small breakfast with Mrs J, the breakfast was modified to lessen the carb and rubbish ingredients, almost healthy! If possible.

Mrs J has gone foraging at the local supermarket while me, me’s and myself catch up on some much needed laziness.

Whoops I think I hear her returning, better look busy ……

This is an instagram link

It was the time of just after midnight, and I was not sleeping. So now, I just had an idea to join TikTok, to see what it was like. The interface seems clean and user friendly. I did some research, and then I uploaded. Here is the link to the same video as above. I find the quality of my video on TikTok to be far higher than when it was on YouTube. I am liking the way TikTok is presented.

I will continue to post to both platforms. But I do need to know which one is best for the viewers. And then I would just post one link.

Or should I do both links? Then someone can't access one they can just click on the other. What to do?

And then after I had posted, I went to sleep for several hours which I needed.

Imagine my surprise when I looked a moment ago on TikTok, and I had reached nearly 600 views. It makes it worthwhile doing the endless watching and editing of video clips when I see those kind of numbers. And I got some hearts!!!

Creative is ...a fungi in my garden which has been well eaten. Huge big flat circular things, all on one side of the garden, under the bushes and trees.

Have a good day...
